Meanwhile, in the Davis family. Azalea was waiting impatiently because dinner was two hours later than usual, so she angrily went to the kitchen to check.
“Why is dinner so late today?”
“Sir is coming home a bit later because he had something to do, so dinner had to be delayed.” The servant didn’t want to talk to Azalea, but she did not dare to ignore her when she saw how fierce the latter was in the morning. After all, neither Wayne nor Meadow could do anything to Azalea, let alone a servant like her.
“I’m starving to death! Prepare something for me to eat first. I’m pregnant and it’s not good for me to be hungry.”
The servant became angry when she heard Azalea’s arrogant voice. “Sir will be back soon, so please wait a little longer. Otherwise, he will get angry when he sees you eating first because that’s against the rules.”
“Did you just insult me?” Azalea directly hit the servant’s face. “The rules are stringent, but don’t you know that people can have their own thoughts? Wayne and his butler heard Azalea’s nonsense as soon as they entered, which made them so angry that their faces turned livid.
The servant hurriedly greeted Wayne when he came home and Meadow also hurried downstairs.
Azalea was not afraid at all when she turned her head and saw Wayne. She did not greet him, and she said confidently instead, “Am I wrong? Death is a normal occurrence and you’ll die sooner or later. Why do you have to set these rules?”
“What are you talking about? Don’t you know how to shut up?!” Meadow was so frightened that her face turned pale when she heard Azalea’s words.
Azalea chuckled. “Alright, I can keep my mouth shut. Can we eat now? I’ve been waiting so long that I’m almost starving to death! Your family’s stupid rules are so detrimental. Is everyone banned from eating if Wayne doesn’t come back home?”
Wayne’s face twitched a few times. He couldn’t argue with someone as ignorant and shameless as Azalea, but he couldn’t bear being the laughing stock. Then, Wayne pursed the corners of his mouth and said, “Let’s eat!”
The servants immediately served the dishes. Azalea didn’t even wait for Wayne to sit down before she started to eat voraciously.
She used to be well-mannered during meals, but she was completely different now. She didn’t have to worry about her image and she ate however she liked..
She ignored the serving spoons and used her own cutleries to pick up the dishes. She ate every dish on the table and she even used the common serving spoon to drink the soup from the pot directly.
Wayne and Meadow felt extremely disgusted when they saw Azalea eat like this. Both of them eventually lost their appetite and they just watched Azalea eat.
Azalea completely ignored Wayne and Meadow as she got up and left after she had her fill.
Wayne glared at Meadow with a furious expression when he saw Azalea’s ignorant behaviour. “From tomorrow onwards, I don’t want to see her at the dining table!”
“This… this…” Meadow did not want to have any more meals with Azalea too.
But Wayne couldn’t do anything about it, let alone her. She was so angry with Azalea that her chest was constricted with pain all this while.
“Dad, I want to deal with her as well, but this bitch is pregnant. You said that the child in her belly can’t be harmed, so I can’t beat her up… Besides, she still has evidence against us. If I do something to her, she will probably go overboard and harm us!”
Wayne sneered. “Aren’t you a capable person? Since you’re the one that caused this mess, you have to think of a solution!”
Wayne got up angrily after that while Meadow sat in her seat with a bitter and worried expression. The butler walked over quietly. “Madam, it’s very simple if you want to keep Azalea away from the dining table tomorrow morning. She can’t have a meal here if she can’t get out of bed.”
Meadow knew what the butler meant. “But I can’t hit her right now and she has evidence against us.”
“You can ask someone else to do it. All you have to do is lure her out and carry out the plan outside. You can do whatever you want as long as you don’t hurt the baby in her belly.”
Meadow immediately understood when she heard the butler’s words. “I got it. I’ll arrange it right away.”
Azalea returned to her room after eating her fill and started playing with her phone. A few minutes later, she heard footsteps coming from outside and she heard the servants’ conversation. “Michael brought that woman to the gathering again tonight. I heard that he even bought expensive jewellery and clothes for her.”
“That’s just trivial things. I heard that he bought a villa that was worth millions for that woman.”
“Is this true?”
“Of course. The villa is in the neighborhood next to ours and Michael has been staying with her every night.”
Azalea suddenly sat up when she heard this. How could Michael buy a villa for that bitch? Azalea became even angrier because the villa was just next door.
She had to figure out what was going on, so she immediately opened the door and called out to the servants. “Repeat what you just said to me!”
“We didn’t say anything.” The two servants shook their heads in denial as soon as they saw her.
“Where is the house that Michael bought? Just tell me the address, or you’d better not blame me for being rude. I have a lot of ways to deal with both of you.”
The two servants hesitated for a moment when they saw Azalea’s fierce expression. “We don’t know the exact number of the house, but we know that it’s the neighbourhood next door. Mr. Michael is living there with that woman now. If you want to know, you can wait outside the district and you’ll see them when they come back.” Azalea felt that what the servants said was reasonable, so she immediately took her phone and went out.
Although the neighbourhood next to her was not as high-end as the community where the Davis family lived, Azalea was extremely envious because the houses were still quite expensive.
Michael didn’t give her anything even after she got pregnant with his child. On the contrary, he bought a house for that bitch after she stayed with him for a few days.
Azalea thought bitterly in her heart. Then, she walked out of the Davis family’s luxurious residential area and went to the road outside.
Michael’s mistress’ residential area was just across the street, so Azalea was planning to cross the road and wait at the gate of the villa.
However, there were hurried footsteps behind her just as she was about to cross the road.
Azalea screamed when she felt someone grab hold of her hair, but her mouth was covered immediately after that.
She couldn’t make a sound and she only watched helplessly as a masked man covered her mouth. Meanwhile, another man raised the iron stick in his hand and hit her left leg fiercely.
An intense wave of pain swept through her entire body as soon as she heard the sound of her bones breaking. Azalea was in so much pain that her face was scrunched up.
The man who had attacked her leg did not hesitate at all. He only put away his iron rod after he was was sure that Azalea’s leg was broken. Then, both of them immediately released her and they quickly retreated.
Azalea wailed as she rolled on the ground until she fell onto the road.
Just then, a car was speeding on the road and the driver didn’t expect that Azalea would suddenly roll to the middle of the road. The sharp sound of brakes could be heard and Azalea blacked out after she felt excruciating pain from her other leg.
