The black-clad bodyguard opened the car door respectfully. Evelyn was dressed luxuriously as she walked out of the car with a limited edition handbag.
She smiled and walked up the stairs gracefully when she looked at the gold sign of Climax Space.
The uniformed staff member opened the door and Evelyn walked in with her head held high.
The assigned staff came over with a smile and led the way. Evelyn was then taken into the elevator and she went into the private room.
There were many young socialites from rich families in the room.
Michael and Anastasia were among them. Anastasia then immediately told Michael when she saw Evelyn coming in, “Miss Gurney is here!”
When she saw that Michael did not respond, she could only stand up with a smile and say hello to Evelyn. However, Michael did not even look up and he continued to smoke his cigarette.
Evelyn didn’t have many friends in B City, so she wasn’t well acquainted with the people in the private room. In fact, she felt that it was somewhat degrading for her to talk to Anastasia, but she reluctantly chatted with her because there was no one else.
Her identity and interests were completely different from Anastasia’s, so their conversation was awkward and bland.

“Why?”
“It’s time for me to get married,” Pierre replied gloomily.
“I see. You can’t come out and have fun so often in the future!” Michael said sympathetically.
“Yeah, what’s so good about getting married? You’ll just be controlled by your wife and restrained by your family. At least I can do whatever I want now, but there’s no other way because I can’t stay single for the rest of your life. My life is so hard!”
Pierre complained and glanced at Evelyn from the corner of his eye. He clearly saw the disgust in Evelyn’s eyes, but he pretended not to notice it and continued to chat with Michael.
Pierre wanted to make friends with Evelyn tonight and tell her that Paisley had plotted against her. However, it was obvious from Evelyn’s attitude that she did not want to have anything to do with him.
In that case, he had to change his strategy and he asked Michael, “Michael, is William coming tonight?”
“I don’t know. He should come because he organised this gathering, but it’s hard to say. He’s different from us now. After all, he has a wife and a child.” Michael said as he glanced at Evelyn.

Michael asked Pierre when he thought of this, “Why are you looking for William?”

Michael narrowed his eyes and chuckled. “Can you tell me about it?”
“This… this…” Pierre looked like he was in a dilemma and he glanced at Evelyn out of the corner of his eye. When Evelyn heard that Pierre was looking for William, she showed an interested expression on her face.
Pierre was very satisfied with Evelyn’s reaction, so he moved closer to Michael and said, “Since you and William are friends, I won’t hide it from you. It’s about the Valeria. You should know that she was set up and she almost got into an accident, right? I received some inside information and wanted to tell William about it.”
Michael raised his eyebrows. He had just suspected that Pierre’s purpose was to get Evelyn’s attention, but now he was completely sure.

Pierre glanced at Evelyn as he spoke. Since she was just sitting next to him, she heard their conversation clearly and her heart skipped a beat when she saw Pierre looking at her.
Michael chuckled and said, “Pierre, are you telling a fairytale? I still don’t know who you’re talking about. What are you going to say to William?”
“Of course, I know who the other party is, but I can only tell William who it is.”
Pierre looked at Evelyn and smiled. Then, he picked up his glass and stood up. “I’ll ask William when he’ll arrive!”
