Azalea suddenly had a creepy feeling when she look at Michae. His gaze was bone-chilling, but he had a smile on his face as he approached Azalea and said, “This is just the beginning and your days of suffering are yet to come!”
His voice sounded so terrifying that Azalea subconsciously took a few steps back. “I’m pregnant with your … your child. he is innocent… and he shouldn’t be punished like this…”
“I’ve always thought that a heartless person like you wouldn’t understand these things? I didn’t expect you to know.” Michael looked at Azalea and spat.
“Do you think that I will protect you just because you are pregnant with my child? Do you think that I let you stay in the Davis family because I care about the child?”
“I…” Azalea said a word and fell silent.
“I’ll repeat it to you again. I don’t like that bastard in your belly and I hate both of you equally. The only reason why I want you to keep the child is that you, my mother, and my grandfather are all murderers! The purpose of letting you live here is to disgust them. I want you to remind them about their vicious crimes every single moment!”
Michael looked at Azalea, who was shivering, and said, “What’s the use of you being here if you can’t do anything but get bullied by them all day long? I’m telling you, you should get lost as soon as possible if you can’t meet my requirements!”
“But… but I don’t dare… I’m alone…”
Tears streamed down Azalea’s cheeks. “What if they attack me? I’m worried that they’ll hurt our child! Michael, you can’t get back at them anymore if the child is gone.”
“Isn’t the child alright now?” Michael looked at Azalea coldly. “Let me repeat it again. From tomorrow on, I want to see you disgust them and make them feel uncomfortable in their own home. If you can’t do it, you can leave and get out of my sight!”
Michael strode away after saying that while Azalea covered her face with her hands, which were full of blisters. Her tears flowed out through the gaps between her fingers.
She had always known that Michael didn’t like her, so how could she ask him to pity her?
The child was just a bargaining chip for her and Michael.
The only thing she was glad about was that Michael did not kill the baby in order to disgust Meadow and Wayne.
This child was the only thing that could turn her life around. Anyway, Michael had already made it clear. The purpose of keeping her here was to disgust Meadow and Wayne.
In this case, it was impossible for her child to be killed and she didn’t have to worry about her child’s safety. At most, she would suffer a little.
Although she looked miserable and painful now, she had to endure this to rise to the top. From now on, she had to change her strategy.
Meadow and Wayne were not scary at all. The only terrifying person right now was Michael because she would have nothing as long as he changed his mind. From now on, she had no choice but to make Wayne and Meadow suffer according to Michael’s request.
This was the only thing she could do to make Michael keep her and she had to think about how to start.
Azalea dried her tears and opened the refrigerator to take out a box of yoghurt. She even tried to cheer herself up as she drank the yoghurt.
She was a strong woman that would never be beaten down. If she could think of a way to get rid of Abbie, she would definitely be able to grasp the happiness that she wanted.
Michael was destined to be hers, no matter what!
So what if Abbie could get Michael’s love? Her corpse was probably rotting in the seawater as she became food for the sharks!
When Azalea thought of how miserable Abbie’s death was, a sinister smile appeared on her face.
Meanwhile, in a hospital on the eastern coast, two blonde and blue-eyed nurses were checking up on the patients.
They checked the wards one by one before they finally stopped outside the intensive care unit.
They could see a gleaming medical instrument through the door and hear the sound of dripping water.
The two nurses changed into a protective suit and pushed the door open. The woman lying on the bed was silent and the display on the monitor was the only sign of her being alive.
“Elle, go wipe her hands and face,” a nurse by the name of Kelly suggested.
“Okay,” Elle wiped the unconscious woman’s hands and face skillfully while she said, “This lady is very beautiful. She looks very charming even when she’s unconscious.”
“Yeah, I don’t know what happened to her. How could a pregnant woman fall into the sea and suffer such a serious injury?”
Elle nodded. “I’m also very curious about what happened to her. Kelly, this unnamed patient has been in a coma for thirty days. Do you think she can still become conscious?”
Kelly looked down at the pale woman on the hospital bed and said, “I think she should be able to. Her vital signs were very weak before, but I feel that her body is slowly recovering. Maybe she will wake up soon.”
“That’s the best. Mr. Howard has agreed to pay for all of her expensive treatment and he calls every day to ask about her news. It can be seen that he cares about her very much and he’ll be very disappointed if she can’t wake up.”
There were obviously more topics for them to talk about when Mr. Howard was mentioned because Elle admired him very much. “He’s so handsome and talented. He is probably one of the most handsome men I have ever seen. Kelly, who do you think this lady is to him?”
Kelly didn’t know about the relationship between the unconscious woman on the hospital bed and Mr. Howard, so she guessed and said, “Look at this young lady, she’s so beautiful. I guess she might be Mr. Howard’s girlfriend.”
“Is the baby in this beautiful lady’s belly his child?”
“Who knows? Maybe, but how could such a horrible thing happen if she was his girlfriend? She’s even pregnant with his child!” Cayen shrugged.
“Maybe there was an accident or someone wanted to hurt her? After all, Mr. Howard is so rich and powerful. I’m sure there are many women who want to marry him, so I guess she was hurt by those who were jealous of her.”
Kelly shook her head with a smile when she listened to Elle. “Your imagination is really wild. Forget it, let’s not talk about the patient. You should go back to the office as soon as possible after you write down her vital signs. Mr. Howard will probably come to the hospital to visit her in half an hour!”
The two spoke as they checked on the lady on the bed. Then, they closed the door and left.
The woman’s drooping fingers on the bed moved slightly not long after they left, but it was so slight that it could be passed off as a hallucination.
