Angel was curious when she heard that William had abandoned his ex-girlfriend. “Miss Gurney, do you know who William’s ex-girlfriend is?”
“Yes, she’s an acquaintance of mine.” Evelyn felt frustrated and she wanted to complain about it to someone. Since she couldn’t say that it was her, she had to say that it was an outsider.
“William treated her very well when she was abroad and they had been together for a long time. Something happened after that and his girlfriend stayed abroad. Meanwhile, William returned to this country and inexplicably married Valeria.”
“Really? Why was William so heartless to his ex-girlfriend?” Angel was also very surprised to hear such gossip. She could see that Evelyn liked William, but she did not connect the dots.
“Who knows? Maybe Valeria did something to him.” Evelyn replied resentfully.
“Speaking of seduction, I suddenly remembered something. Do you know that William once lost his memory?” Angel asked.
Evelyn was very surprised. “What? How could such a thing happen?”
“Yeah, this has something to do with Natasya. Do you know her?”
Of course, Evelyn knew who Natasya was. “Yes, but I’m not very close with her and I just met her a few times at social events. I heard that Natasya is dead, isn’t she?”
“That’s right, but let me tell you something. She was the one who caused William’s memory loss. She poisoned him after she caught feelings for him and made him lose his memory. He forgot a lot of things that happened in the past, but he didn’t forget Valeria. I always felt that there was something fishy about it. He forgot so many people, so why didn’t he forget her? Could it be that he was so loyal to her because of some spell that Valeria had cast on him?”
Evelyn almost jumped up when she heard Angel’s words. “Ms. Floyd, are you sure that William really lost his memory?”
“Of course. My dad took him abroad for treatment after he lost his memory and he was in a coma for a long time before he woke up.”
“There’s such a thing. No wonder William’s behaviour now is so different from before.”
“What’s wrong?” Angel asked.
“I just had a realization. Ms. Floyd, I’m home. We’ll talk next time!” Evelyn hung up the phone and sighed heavily.
She finally understood why William was not interested in her. It turned out that he had lost his memory.
He definitely got together with Valeria because he didn’t remember his past affairs with Evelyn.
Valeria was such a hateful woman. She must have done something to William to make him be so loyal to her.
Evelyn gritted her teeth. She had to expose Valeria’s true colours and remind William of everything that had happened between them.
Meanwhile, in the old-fashioned snack shop in the city centre, Bobby stopped the car and turned to ask William, “Sir, do you want me to go?”
“I’ll go! You don’t know what Valeria likes.” William opened the car door and got out of the car.
The eyes of the young lady in the snack shop lit up when she saw William enter. She warmly welcomed him and asked him about his needs. Then, William ordered the snacks that Valeria liked to eat and the shop assistant immediately packed them up. When William took out his phone and scanned the code to pay, a new worker was attracted by his appearance and she secretly took photos of him.
William felt the camera on him and turned to look, which made the worker so shocked that she immediately put away her phone. He frowned slightly and strode out of the door with the packed snacks.
The worker gasped. “He’s so handsome, but he’s so reserved! I wanted to take a picture, but his glare is so terrifying.”
“If you don’t want to be fired, you’d better be careful. This man is William and not everyone can take pictures of him.”
“What? He’s so handsome in real life! I would gladly die if I could spend a day with him.”
“You’ve gone mad! He’s already married!”
After William got in the car and put the snacks aside, Bobby started the car and drove straight to the maternity centre.
Meanwhile, Valeria was laying on the yoga mat as she practised her abdominal breathing.
William refused to find a coach for her, so she found one himself. She knew that couldn’t do any intense exercises because her confinement period wasn’t over, so the coach asked her to practice some abdominal breathing exercises first. It was very effective in decreasing belly fat as well. As long as she did this at least ten minutes every day for two weeks, she would lose several inches off her waist.
Valeria got excited when she heard that. She then asked the coach about the basic moves and asked the helper to buy a yoga mat for her.
William saw Valeria lying on the yoga mat when he came in. Then, he put the cake on the tea table with a smile and said coyly, “What are you doing? Are you practising your internal strength so that you can be a martial arts master? Will your skills be better than Bobby’s?”
“What do you know?” Valeria rolled her eyes at him.
“Well, these exercises won’t be able to help you much. Get up quickly, I’ve bought you something delicious. You can continue doing your exercises after eating.”
“No, you’re a bad influence on me! What are you trying to do by making me so fat?”
“Didn’t I do it for your own good? I like it when you’re chubby, so why do you want to lose weight? I’ll still love you anyway.”
“You’re really good at sweet talking. Wouldn’t you get tired of me if I stayed this fat for the rest of my life?”
“I really won’t. Get up first and look at what I bought for you.”
“No! I have to practice for another 15 minutes.”
“Alright, get up now. I’ll run and exercise with you every day after you finish your confinement period. I’ll definitely make you lose weight.”
Valeria’s eyes lit up when she heard that and she immediately got up. “Really?”
“Of course!” William smiled and pulled Valeria to sit down on the sofa. Then, he opened the beautifully wrapped jewellery box and said, “Look at this.”
The diamond shone brightly in front of Valeria. No woman could resist the temptation of jewellery, so Valeria shouted in awe, “Oh my gosh! It’s so beautiful!”
“Do you like it?”
“Yes, I like it! I love you so much!” Valeria was overjoyed. “Put it on for me!”
William helped her put on the necklace with a smile. Valeria couldn’t wait to put on the earrings, and she reached out her hand for William to help her put on the ring and bracelet.
She kept looking in the mirror and she was so excited that her whole face turned red. “It’s so beautiful! I’ll be the centre of attention if I wear this to parties.”
“That’s right.”
“I love you so much!” Valeria was so excited that she leaned over and kissed William.
How could William let go of such a good opportunity? He held Valeria in his arms and kissed her deeply.
“There’s people outside!” Valeria tried to push him away.
William didn’t care and deepened the kiss even more, which left Valeria dizzy.
Bobby was walking around with Cade and Santhos outside when he accidentally saw this steamy scene. He immediately blushed and turned his head quickly to walk out with the two babies in his arms.
