Chapter 1431 Don’t Expose It

Book:That Stranger Lying Beside Me Published:2024-6-1

Fandrey and Deborah looked at each other when they heard that Angel was downstairs. “Why is she here?”
“Did she follow both of you here? The bodyguards told me that they stopped Angel when she wanted to come up at first. She didn’t leave, but she has been waiting in the parking lot with the flowers in her arms.”
“She’s really…” Deborah was so angry that she wanted to scold Angel for being shameless, but she stopped when she saw the nanny and midwife.
Fandrey looked calm. “In that case, let’s go down and have a look.”
William followed them out when they walked out of the door. “Grandpa, Grandma, take care!”
Fandrey smiled. “There’s no need to send me off. I know what I’m doing.”
Deborah couldn’t help but curse when they entered the elevator, “How could she still have the guts to see us? What is she up to by following us here?”
“What do you think? She wants to come back to the Floyd family and continue to enjoy life after she suffered outside!” Fandrey replied with disgust.
“She wants to come back? She can dream on! I’ll definitely give her a harsh lecture later!”
“Please don’t!” Fandrey shook his head and warned Deborah. “You must hold back when you see her and don’t expose anything.”
“I can’t hold back my anger when I think of how I’ve raised an impostor for so many years.”
“You have to bear it because you can’t ruin William’s plan. That impostor now thinks that she is pregnant with Richard’s child. She is still waiting to give birth so she can marry Richard forcefully. We have to at least let her suffer, right?”
The elevator stopped as they spoke and they walked out.
Angel was stopped by the bodyguards from entering the elevator while she head the bouquet of flowers in her arms. Her waist and legs were sore after she stood for quite some time, so she had to go back to the car in the parking lot.
She saw William’s car a few minutes after she got into the car. She wanted to go down and say hello to him, but she didn’t dare to go over after seeing how tall and fierce Bobby looked.
She started to get annoyed as she continued to wait in the car and she drank half a bottle of water impatiently. Madelyn, who was in the driver’s seat, happily reminded her, “Miss, Sir and Madam are out.”
Angel immediately put down the water and got out of the car with the bouquet in her arms. She went straight to Fandrey and Deborah.
“Grandpa and Grandma!”
Fandrey stopped and looked at Angel with his hands clasped behind his back. “What are you doing here?”
“I heard that Valeria is here for her confinement period, so I came to see her and congratulate her.”
“Is that so?” Fandrey snorted and his expression turned cold.
Angel didn’t seem to notice Fandrey’s displeasure. She smiled and said, “I was about to go up just now. The bodyguards wouldn’t let me enter, so I had to wait here.”
“What are you waiting for?” Fandrey asked, “Valeria won’t come down because she’s in her confinement period, so who are you waiting for? Are you waiting for us?”
“Yes, I saw your car and I haven’t seen both of you for a long time. I miss you very much.” Angel’s eyes were red as she said that and she reached out to rub her eyes.
“Grandpa and Grandma, I really miss you.”
Angel was choked with sobs after she said this and her tears rolled down her cheeks.
Of course, she couldn’t cry so easily because she didn’t have Azalea’s acting skills. The reason why she suddenly cried was that she rubbed some menthol on her fingers. It entered her eyes when she rubbed them just now, so she began to cry.
Fandrey looked at Angel with indifference and said, “You miss us, don’t you? Do you still remember what I told you when you left?” Of course, Angel remembered it very clearly. Fandrey made it clear that the Floyd family recognized her after she got an abortion and she would never be welcomed home if she chose to keep the child.
Angel thought that her crying would make Fandrey and Deborah soft-hearted, but they didn’t budge at all.
Angel hated Fandrey and Deborah in her heart. How could they be so vicious? Anyway, she was still the child of the Floyd family. How could they treat her like this?
She cried even louder as she thought about it in her heart. “Grandpa, it’s not that I don’t want to get an abortion, but I have no choice. The doctor said that there was something wrong with my body. I would never have a child in my life if I get an abortion now. I am still so young and I don’t want to be alone when I’m old.”
Fandrey looked calmly at Angel’s clumsy performance. “Since the doctor said so, you can just give birth.”
Angel was delighted to hear that, but Fandrey added, “You have to take good care of yourself in the future. You should live a good life with your child after you give birth.”
Angel’s joy disappeared in an instant. It turned out that Fandrey was not touched by her performance at all. She still had to take care of everything herself and it had nothing to do with the Floyd family.
Angel was a little confused. Why was the Floyd family still so indifferent to her when she pretended to be so miserable?
Fandrey’s attitude toward her was completely different from before. Although he didn’t like her in the past, he would at least have some mercy. Angel had a sense of trepidation when she saw how heartless he was.
Did the Floyd family already know that she wasn’t related to them at all?
Angel was shocked when she thought of this. It was the only plausible explanation, otherwise, the Floyd family would not treat her like this.
If the Floyd family knew about her true identity, all of her acts would be useless. She had to go back and discuss this matter with Ornard.
Angel didn’t want to struggle anymore, so she said with a sad face, “Grandpa and Grandma! How can you do this… You are forcing me…”
“Dear, she’s too pitiful. No matter what, she’s Callum’s only child. Why don’t we let her come back?” Deborah suddenly spoke with an expression of pity after she had stayed silent for a long time.
Angel had hope in her heart when she saw Deborah plead for her. However, Deborah hated injustice and she was extremely bad at keeping secrets. If Deborah knew that Angel did not belong to the Floyd family, she would be the first to despise her. How could she plead for her?
Angel’s eyes fell on Deborah, who was looking at her pitifully. She sighed and said, “You can’t continue doing whatever you want when you come back, okay?”
Angel felt completely relieved when she saw Deborah’s gaze and heard what she said.
Her identity wasn’t exposed yet, so Fandrey and Deborah wouldn’t reject her pleads. Fandrey would probably agree now that Deborah had spoken up for her.
In that case, she could return to the Floyd family and live a comfortable life. She could also find a way to continue cheating the Floyd family.
Just as Angel was feeling overjoyed, she saw Fandrey’s expression turn cold and he scolded Deborah, “What are you talking about? Do you have the right to talk here? Go to the car right away!”
