Emily did not deny it and nodded.
Thomas looked surprised. “Who is she? Why have I never heard you talk about her?”
“She… she…” Emily hesitated as she wondered if she should tell Thomas about Braelynn’s identity. Her phone on the coffee table then rang.
She glanced at the number on the screen and saw that it was Azalea again. Emily had already disliked Azalea. Now that she heard from Thomas that Azalea had killed Abbie, she despised Azalea even more. So she continued ignoring Azalea’s call.
Thomas also saw Azalea’s name on the screen. “Aunt Emily, why aren’t you answering Azalea’s call?”
“I don’t want to answer it.” Emily’s face was full of disgust. “She has already called me several times, but I ignored her.”
“Is she in a hurry? Why is she calling you?”
“What else does she want? The Davis family is questioning her identity, so she wants me to give her an accurate answer. She sent me a message just now to ask me, but I ignored her. She must be feeling rather anxious.”
“If that’s the case, Aunt Emily, you can answer the phone and let her know that she is not the eldest daughter of the Floyd family so that the Davis family will be sure of it as well. That way, Azalea would not have any more support, and the Clark family can bring her to justice.”
“Thomas, I can’t tell Azalea everything because my daughter had asked me to keep it a secret.”

Emily was saying that her daughter had built all the success she had from scratch. Thomas was pretty surprised and became more curious about who Emily’s daughter was. “Is she that capable? Could you tell me who she is?”

Since Emily refused to say, Thomas did not continue to ask. “Aunt Emily, since your daughter asked you to hide it from Azalea, you must pretend to be courteous to her. You have to answer Azalea’s call!”
Azalea stayed in the Davis family’s living room for more than an hour without any response from Emily.
Wayne and Meadow were determined to wait for the result. So they had been sitting in the living room with Azalea and watching TV.
Azalea knew that they were waiting for a response from Emily instead of watching TV. She was quite anxious, and she called Emily again.
After making several phone calls, Emily finally picked up.
Azalea asked anxiously, “Mom, why didn’t you answer my call?”

Thomas heard it clearly from the side. He mouthed the word “bastard” to scold Michael.
Emily thought of how Michael had treated her when she went to see Michael and asked him to be together with Azalea. This was such a joke.
Michael must have taken a fancy to Azalea because she was a child of the Floyd family.
The anger Emily felt made her tone sharper. “Why does this sound so ridiculous? What has you dating Michael got to do with you being a child of the Floyd family?
