William frowned. “You want to help her? What do you mean?”
“Isn’t she the eldest daughter of the Floyd family? Doesn’t she want to marry me? Since my mother and grandfather like her so much, I have to marry Azalea to let their dreams come true.”
William was speechless when he heard Michael’s words, “You want to get married to Azalea? Don’t you find it disgusting?”
“I don’t mind, I have to make my mother and grandfather happy.” Michael laughed. “I will torture them the same way they treated me and I should return the favour!”
Michael was discharged from the hospital the next day and he returned to the Davis family’s villa. Azalea and Meadow were a little nervous because they were afraid that Michael would make a scene when he saw Azalea.
However, he did not do anything in the end. He returned to the Davis family’s villa and went back to his room calmly.
Meadow and Azalea heaved a sigh of relief. When Meadow saw that Michael had lost a lot of weight, she even personally cooked ginseng soup for him.
Azalea was a little uncertain when she saw Michael’s calmness. She went to his room and knocked on the door. A few minutes later, he opened the door and looked at Azalea while he leaned on the door. “What’s the matter?”
His eyes were calm and she couldn’t see any anger or unhappiness in them. She then squeezed out a smile. “Michael, are you okay?”
“What do you think?” Michael asked. He really wanted to strangle Azalea when he saw the fake smile on her face.
But he couldn’t do that! A person’s death was instantaneous. A dead person wouldn’t know anything or feel any pain, so strangling Azalea was too easy for her. He wanted everyone who hurt Abbie to pay the price and Azalea was the worst one of all.
Azalea didn’t know what Michael was thinking, so she persuaded him hypocritically, “I’m very sad about Abbie’s matter. I didn’t expect such a thing to happen…”
“All right, don’t mention her anymore!” Michael interrupted Azalea. “What can I do for you?”
“Nothing, I just wanted to comfort you.”
Michael slammed the door shut immediately. Azalea couldn’t dodge in time and her face collided with the door so forcefully that her face was in excruciating pain.
Michael clenched his hands into fists inside the room. How could a bitch like her have the nerve to mention Abbie?
Michael was afraid that he would be unable to control himself if he listened to her any longer. He clenched his fists tightly and said, “Calm down! I must calm down! Azalea wasn’t the only one that caused Abbie’s death, but Meadow and Wayne were also the main culprits. He can’t deal with Meadow and Wayne himself, but he can let an outsider do it. Azalea was the best pawn he had!
Azalea held her nose and went back to her room. The tip of her nose hurt terribly, so she walked to the mirror and took a look. She found that her nose had swelled up and the bruises made her face look distorted. The pain was no longer as intense, but Azalea couldn’t accept that her nose had become so ugly.
“Damn it!” Azalea cursed. She was about to go downstairs to find some ointment for her nose when Paisley called her.
Azalea was in pain, so her tone was very sharp. “What’s the matter, Ms. Anthony?”
Paisley said with a smile, “I called to you because your wish will soon come true!”
Azalea was very surprised. “How do you know?”
“No one told me. I guessed it myself.”
“What’s the use of guessing?” Azalea snorted.
“I’m pretty sure my guess is spot on. Miss Clark, do you know that the Clark family has started to fall out with the Davis family?”
“I don’t.” Azalea was shocked. “What did they do?”
“The Clark family is at odds with the Davis family because of Abbie. They have terminated most of their business contracts. According to a reliable source, both families have lost a few billion dollars by now.”
“What?” Azalea was shocked. It was incredible if Paisley was telling the truth about this. “Has the Clark family gone crazy?”
“Isn’t it obvious? I didn’t expect that they would do something that would cause both parties to suffer. They’re openly declaring war on the Davis family. If they really fall out with each other, your perfect opportunity will come.”
Paisley knew that Azalea wasn’t a member of the Floyd family. However, Azalea was still doing whatever she like and it wasn’t clear if the Floyd family knew about her true identity.
Paisley was eager to see how the Floyd family would treat Azalea. “Miss Clark, you can ask your family to save the Davis family. You will be a benefactor to the Davis family if they’re willing to help his time. I’m pretty sure you can do whatever you want in the Davis family in the future!”
Azalea was inexplicably moved when she heard Paisley’s words because this was indeed a good idea. As long as the Floyd family was willing to help, Michael’s attitude towards her wouldn’t be as uncertain. He would definitely be grateful to her for the Floyd family’s help. Meadow would treat her well and Michael would definitely change his attitude. If that happened, she could find a firm foothold as well.
Azalea thought to herself and immediately asked Paisley, “I don’t think the Floyd family will offer to help so easily.”
“You just have to try harder. It won’t be a problem as long as you want to do it,” Paisley said.
Azalea asked tentatively, “Ms. Anthony, what do you think I should do to get the Floyd family’s help?”
“You can just ask Ms. Poland. I believe this matter will be settled as long as she asks Mr. Floyd for help.”
Azalea thought of the same thing as well. “Is that so? I’ll give it a try. Thank you very much, Ms. Anthony!”
Paisley scolded disdainfully after she hung up, “Idiot!”
Her doorbell rang right after that. Who would visit her at six o’clock in the morning? Danya glanced at the screen. “It’s Angel. Do you want her to come in?”
“Let her in!”
When Paisley opened the door, Angel came in with a very good attitude and said with a smile, “Didn’t you go out today?”
“No, have a seat! What would you like to drink?”
“I want some juice.” Angel sat down next to Paisley. “Evelyn asked me to meet her again.”
“Are you close to her? You should meet her if she wants to see you. The Gurney family is pretty wealthy, so it’s good for you to be friends with Evelyn.” Paisley smiled faintly.
“Evelyn isn’t trying to befriend me and she’s doing this for William. She has a crush on him and she still thinks that I’m the eldest daughter of the Floyd family. She wants to use me to get closer to William.”
Angel didn’t beat around the bush. “I didn’t come here to chat with you, so I’m going to get straight to the point. I hate William, Valeria, and the Floyd family. Evelyn has feelings for William and I want to help her, but I can’t think of a way. I’m here to ask you for a solution.”
Paisley drank her coffee slowly and stayed silent. Angel scolded Paisley internally because she kept putting up an act. If she didn’t plan to take advantage of Paisley, she wouldn’t need to see her pretentious look.
She cursed in her heart, but she put on a pitiful expression. “Can you help me?”
Paisley put down the cup and laughed. “Of course, I have a good idea. I can help you vent your anger and cause some trouble for Valeria as well.”
