Chapter 1362 Accompany Her

Book:That Stranger Lying Beside Me Published:2024-6-1

“How… how is this possible?” Michael was shocked.
“Why are you surprised? I found pregnancy medication in her drawer and she went to the hospital yesterday. The doctor prescribed this medicine for her. How dare you say that you don’t know?”
“I’m really clueless!” Michael was flustered. “Aunt, what’s going on?”
“She’s missing. She left home secretly last night and went to see a woman named Josephine, but there is still no news of her now.”
“What? Did she really meet Josephine? Why did she do that?” Michael’s face changed.
“Do you know Josephine?”
“I…” Michael wanted to say something, but he stopped.
Helen was extremely worried. “Tell me, who is Josephine and why does she want to meet Abbie? Is she your mistress?”
At this point, Michael did not dare to hide anymore. “Josephine is… is the woman who framed me.”
“What? She was the woman… that Abbie caught you with? She’s the one who caused Abbie’s accident!” Helen had just heard the police talk about Josephine, but they did not tell her the details of the conversation. She didn’t think about it much, but she suddenly found out that Josephine had caused Abbie’s accident and made her lose her memory. She became absolutely furious.
“Michael, are you involved with Josephine again? How can you be so shameless? You made Abbie sad because you kept playing around last time, but you’re still the same now. You are too shameless!”
Helen was so angry that she scolded him mercilessly.
Michael could only explain. “Aunt, I have nothing to do with her. Josephine framed me and I was wronged. I wanted her to make it clear and prove my innocence when I found her, but she ran away. I didn’t expect that she would meet up with Abbie. I would’ve killed her if I knew that she was going to find Abbie!”
“I’m not interested in your relationship with Josephine and I only care about Abbie. I only want my daughter to be safe and sound!” Helen’s eyes turned red. “If something happens to Abbie, I will definitely not let you off!”
“Nothing will happen to Abbie! Auntie, I’ll definitely find her!”
Michael immediately called William. “William, Abbie is missing after she met up with Josephine at night. I’m very worried. Can you arrange for your men to help me find her? Please!”
William was shocked when he heard that Abbie had gone missing. This was not a trivial matter, so he immediately agreed. “I’ll tell Jaxon right away. He’ll contact you later.”
“Thank you, William!” After Michael hung up the phone, it didn’t take long for Jaxon to call him. “Michael, I’m Jaxon, one of William’s men. He asked me to help you find Miss Clark, so please tell me the details.”
Michael told Jaxon what he knew and Jaxon’s voice sounded a little serious. “It has been seven or eight hours since Abbie went out last night. The other party would have called us by now if they had any intentions, but we didn’t hear any news and both of them are missing. This matter is a little troublesome.”
Of course, Michael knew that this matter was complicated. He didn’t want anything to happen to Abbie and he subconsciously hoped that she would be safe. “You need to arrange for some of your men to find Josephine and I’ll ask some of my subordinates as well. I think we can find Abbie as long we get a hold of Josephine. I believe that nothing will happen to Abbie!”
The police began to search for Josephine’s whereabouts and hoped that she would lead them to Abbie.
They finally found Josephine’s rented apartment after searching for a while. There was no sign of her in the apartment. The police then looked at the surveillance footage of the apartment and found that she had not been home for a long time.
Jaxon’s men began to search for Josephine from the place where she escaped.
The surveillance showed that Josephine was very sly when she escaped. After she walked out from where Michael had locked her up, she got into a taxi and went straight to the subway station. Since the station was full of people, she soon disappeared into the vast crowd.
Josephine obviously had an escape plan. If they couldn’t find Josephine, they could only keep an eye on the beach where Abbie was last seen.
Jaxon asked someone to go to the beach where Josephine and Abbie last met. The police force had also arranged for some officers to conduct a search there.
There were no traces on the shore, so the police averted their focus to the sea.
The waves last night were very violent, so was it possible for Abbie and Josephine to accidentally fall into the sea?
The police arranged a boat to search along the coastal area and they finally found Abbie’s jacket in the sea at noon.
Everyone was extremely shocked when they found her jacket.
It was obvious that she had fallen into the sea.
As the police continued to search the surface of the sea, they found Abbie’s shoes and Josephine’s clothes. Since they found both of their belongings in the sea, it was obvious what had happened.
Helen immediately fainted after she heard the news.
Richard’s flight was at three o’clock in the afternoon. After he walked out of the airport, the bodyguards who came to pick him up told him that something had happened to Abbie. When he heard this, he didn’t go home and went straight to the beach.
Jaxon, Michael, and the police were still searching in the sea. In order to ensure the authenticity of the result, the police were comparing the clothes they found in the sea with Abbie and Josephine’s DNA records.
When Richard rushed to the beach, the result of the DNA comparison had just come out. It was confirmed that the clothes belonged to Abbie and Josephine.
Richard’s face was extremely grim. Michael got off the boat in a daze when he came back on the search boat with Jaxon. Then, Richard directly rushed over and punched Michael fiercely. Michael’s face was immediately bruised and his mouth was bleeding, so Jaxon immediately stopped Richard.
Richard was completely out of control. “Michael, I’m going to kill you!”
“Richard, calm down!”
“Abbie missing. How can I calm down when she’s missing because of Michael?”
“Michael doesn’t want to see such a thing happen either. He’s also heartbroken because this happened to Miss Clark!”
“What’s so pitiful about him? I’ve warned you not to cause any harm to Abbie if you can’t protect her, but you ignored my warning! You’ve gone too far!”
Richard’s eyes were red. “Michael, I’ll kill you if my sister can’t be found! I won’t let you live, so you can just wait and see!”
Blood kept oozing out from the corner of Michael’s mouth. The despair in his heart was unbearable because the chances of Abbie being alive were very slim.
Michael had a bitter smile on his face. “She is pregnant with my child and I already think of her as my wife. I’ll die with her if she can’t come back safely!”
