Chapter 1351 My First

Book:That Stranger Lying Beside Me Published:2024-6-1

Michael was anxious because Abbie hadn’t replied to any of the messages he had sent. He was stunned when he suddenly saw her message. “Of course!”
“Really? Am I your first?” Abbie continued to ask.
“Yes! You’re my first.”
Abbie frowned as she looked at Michael’s message. “Have you been with anyone else?”
“No, I have only been with you! What’s wrong? Why are you asking all these strange questions?”
“How is this strange? Michael, I’m very particular and I don’t like men who sleep around. Don’t hide it from me if you’ve been with other women.”
“No, you’re the only woman I’ve been with! I swear!”
Abbie felt a little better when she read this. She had a certain attachment to Michael, so she immediately told him about her fall. “Idell when I went running just now. I have a few scratches and my period came as well. My stomach hurts now.”
Michael was very worried when he heard that Abbie fell down. “Shall I take you to the hospital? I’ll be right there.”
“There’s no need. I’ll be fine.”
“I’m worried about you.”
“I’m really alright. I’m not alone at home and my mother knows that I fell. She won’t let me go out. The servants and bodyguards will accompany me even if I go to the hospital, so you can’t go with me.”
What Abbie said was the truth and Michael had no other choice. It was not right for Abbie to sneak around, so he had to solve Josephine’s matter as soon as possible.
Michael thought for a moment and called Richard. When the phone was picked up, Richard was a little unhappy and his tone was very harsh. “What’s the matter?”
“Richard, can you go to America?”
“What do you want? Just tell me what happened and don’t beat around the bush.”
“I found Josephine. I want to explain what happened back then…”
“What for? It’s been so long, so what’s there to explain?” Richard asked impatiently.
“Richard, I have nothing to do with Josephine and I was framed. Now that I have found Josephine, I want you to know the whole story.”
“Why should I believe you? I saw what happened with my own eyes. When I kicked the door open, you and Josephine were still lying on the bed. Even your clothes were in disarray, so how could you explain what happened?”
“Richard, this is all part of a scheme and even Josephine has confessed. Natasya is behind this. She couldn’t stand Abbie, so she set up such a scheme. Nothing happened between me and Josephine. I didn’t let Abbie down!”
“Stop. Do you think I will believe that nothing happened when you slept with a woman in the same room alone for the whole night? You were the one that found Josephine, not me. How can her words be credible?”
Richard implied that Michael had asked Josephine to play along with his lies. Michael was extremely wronged. “Richard, I really like Abbie and I was really framed. We have been friends for many years, so can you give me a chance to explain?”
“I don’t believe you and I’m not that free. Do you expect me to go abroad to see you and listen to your bullshit? Stop dreaming.” Richard hung up the phone after saying that.
Richard was upset about what had happened back then and he refused to believe him. Michael had a headache because of this.
Abbie couldn’t remember what had happened back then and he couldn’t explain to Abbie about her memory loss. The only person who could explain was Richard. The problem he faced would be solved as long as Richard trusted him.
In fact, Michael wanted Richard to come over and let Josephine explain it to Richard in person. Since Richard was unwilling to come over, Michael had to bring Josephine back to the country to explain it to him.
Michael called the bodyguard who guarded Josephine. “I need Josephine’s passport. I’m bringing her back to the mainland tomorrow.”
The bodyguard asked Josephine for her passport, but she was unwilling to hand it over. She hesitated and said, “I… I don’t have a passport with me. Why do you want it?”
“Michael wants to take you back to our country.”
There was nothing good about that and Josephine panicked. She would rather die than hand over her passport, so she said that her passport had been robbed by someone she owed money to.
Josephine refused to hand over her passport, so the bodyguards had to report to Michael. She secretly informed Azalea, “Miss Clark, Michael wants to take me back to the country. I can’t go back home, so you have to find a way to solve this quickly.”
“That’s great. Send a message to Abbie to say that Michael is forcing you to leave. You don’t know what he will do to you and you’re very scared. Abbie will save you!”
Josephine immediately sent a message to Abbie. “Miss Clark, save me! I’m so scared. Please help me!”
Abbie frowned when she saw Josephine’s message. “What happened?”
“Michael asked the bodyguards to hand over my passport and I don’t know what he wants to do. I’m scared. Miss Clark, please help me. I’ve been locked up here for a long time and I’m worried that he will hurt me.”
“Michael is a lawyer. He won’t break the law.” Abbie didn’t believe that Michael would do anything to Josephine.
“But he has secretly detained me here. Isn’t this breaking the law? This is illegal detention. Miss Clark, I have no relatives and no one can help me. I am still very young and I don’t want to die. As long as I am alive, I swear I will never appear in front of you and Michael again.”
Abbie looked at Josephine’s cry for help and felt upset. The bruises on her body were aching and her stomach was also hurting. She really had no time to deal with a stranger right now.
“Call the police! Since you have time to send me messages, you can choose to call the police and let them deal with it. It’s much easier for the police to save you instead of me.”
“I don’t dare to call the police because Michael would kill me if he found out!”
“I can’t do anything. This is between you and Michael and it has nothing to do with me. I have no responsibility to help you. From now on, please don’t send me any more messages!”
Abbie’s patience had already run out. The woman appeared suddenly and told her so many things that caused so much trouble to her. She felt incredibly annoyed.
Abbie had already guessed that Josephine was not a good person and she was not interested in helping her. After all, she was not a saint. She would just break up with Michael if she didn’t like him, so why would she help a complete stranger? Was Josephine crazy?
She didn’t feel very comfortable. Since she was bored at home, she might as well go to the hospital.
Abbie was sent to the nearest hospital with her bodyguards and servants for a check-up. The wounds on his body were just superficial. Abbie felt particularly uncomfortable, so he went to the orthopaedics department to have a check-up.
When the doctor who treated her heard that Abbie had a stomachache, he carefully asked her a few questions. He heard that Abbie’s period was delayed for 15 days and the fall caused pains in her stomach. The doctor immediately asked her if she had been sleeping with her boyfriend. Abbie was stunned and nodded to admit it.
The doctor asked Abbie kindly, “Are you pregnant?”
