Angel was confused. “Why should I inform Paisley? That bitch is not a good person and she bullies me every day. I hate her more each time I see her!”
“You have to tell her about this even if you hate her. Don’t you want to make use of Paisley?”
Ornard had a headache when he realized how stupid Angel was. He didn’t keep her guessing and continued “Do you know why you need to tell Paisley about this? It’s because she likes William. As long as she still refuses to let him go, she would take advantage of every chance to break Valeria’s heart.”
Angel understood instantly after she heard Ornard’s explanation. She also liked William very much from the first time she saw him. She couldn’t hide her dirty thoughts even after she knew that he was her cousin. The reason why she hated Valeria and wanted to go against her was all because of jealousy. She was envious because Valeria could become William’s wife.
Angel felt that there was nothing wrong with telling Paisley, but she was still a little worried. “Do you want Paisley to take advantage of Evelyn? Paisley is so cunning. Will she refuse to cooperate when she sees that we want to take advantage of her?”

“I have something to do with your boss, so I want to go in.” Angel pushed Danya aside and entered the living room. Paisley came out of her bedroom when she heard voices and she was also very surprised when she saw Angel. “To what do I owe the pleasure of your visit?”
“Don’t put up an act. I need some help. Can you lend me some clothes and two matching bags? I’ll return them to you after I’m done.”
“What?” Paisley looked up and down at Angel. “Are you so down and out?”
“Didn’t you know? I didn’t bring any of my clothes or bags from the Floyd family. I need to meet someone, so how can I dress simply?”
“Who are you meeting? Richard?” Paisley asked with a faint smile.
“No, I’m seeing Miss Gurney.”
“What? Are you talking about Evelyn? How dare you think of trying to get close to her?” Paisley’s tone was full of contempt. “Let me remind you, Evelyn is too arrogant and you won’t be able to get anything from her.”
“What are you talking about? Why do I have to get close to her and who does she think she is? Let me tell you, she was the one who took the initiative to look for me.”
Paisley shook her head. “I don’t believe it!”
“Suit yourself! She wanted to meet me herself.” Angel looked impatient. “So can you lend me some clothes and bags?”
“Angel, are you lying to me? Why would Evelyn want to see you? Does she find it entertaining to see you so miserable?”

Angel took a deep breath. “I felt humiliated because Evelyn kept judging the way I dress the last time I saw her. That’s why I came to borrow some clothes from you, so can you lend them to me?”
“I’ll gladly agree if what you said is true, but how can I believe you?”
“Don’t you have connections? You’ll know if you send someone to keep an eye on Evelyn.”
Paisley rolled her eyes and said, “Okay, I’ll give you two sets of new clothes. I say, Angel, you’re too pitiful now. Let me give you a piece of advice. You should abort the child something before it’s too late. Otherwise, your fate will be terrible if you can’t return to the Floyd family in the future.”
“I know what to do, so just give me the clothes.” Angel reached out impatiently. Paisley got up and went to the bedroom to get two sets of new clothes and two matching bags. Then, Angel left quickly after she took them from Paisley.
Paisley sneered and ordered Danya as she watched Angel walk away, “Ask someone to keep an eye on Evelyn.”
Meanwhile, a driver opened a car door at the entrance of the Wolf Group. Evelyn took out a makeup mirror and looked at it carefully. She was sure that her makeup was impeccable, so she got out of the car.
She entered the door gracefully in her high heels and went straight to the front desk. “I want to see Mr. Howard!”
The lady at the front desk smiled politely at her when she looked at how domineering Evelyn was. “Do you have an appointment?”
“No! I came to see him on the spur of the moment.”
The young lady had a professional smile on her face. “I’m sorry, Mr. Howard’s schedule is full. You won’t be able to see him if you don’t have an appointment.”
Evelyn snorted. “Tell Mr. Howard that I’m sending a document on behalf of the Gurney family. This document is very important and I must hand it over to Mr. Howard personally.”
The receptionist smiled and asked, “What’s your surname?”
“My surname is Gurney and Mr. Howard knows who I am. If you don’t believe me, just call and ask.”
The receptionist had no right to call William. When she saw how arrogant Evelyn was, she could only call and ask, “Please wait a moment. I’ll call him!”
The young lady at the front desk immediately called the secretary, who immediately reported it to Marcus. Marcus was very surprised to hear that Evelyn had come to deliver a document.
