Azalea thought that she had gotten hold of Abbie’s weakness, and Abbie would not dare to challenge her. Yet, Abbie laughed and said, “Is this all you’re capable of? Should I be afraid?”
She stretched out her hand and pointed at Azalea’s face. “Azalea, I’ve tolerated you in the past and let you slander me in my house without trying to defend myself. Did this give you an illusion that I was helpless against you? Did you think that I was easy to bully? You’re wrong! I don’t want to teach you a lesson because I don’t think you deserve it. As I am the eldest daughter of the Clark family, it’s degrading for me to discuss these things with a maid’s daughter like you!”
Abbie calling her a maid’s daughter made Azalea’s face turn red. This was what she hated the most.
Although she had lived with the Clark family for so many years, she always knew she was different from Abbie.
Although the servants of the Clark family were seemingly polite to her, they were all gossiping about her. They said she was of lowly birth. Her mother was a temptress, and her father was a driver.
Azalea felt that she wasn’t much inferior to Abbie. If she were in Abbie’s position, she would be much more outstanding than her. Abbie would not be fit to even carry her shoes.
Azalea felt that since she was no longer a maid’s daughter but the eldest daughter of the Floyd family, Abbie had no right to speak to her that way. So Azalea explained immediately, “Who says I’m a maid’s daughter? I’m not. My father is Callum Floyd, and I’m the eldest daughter of the Floyd family!”
“You? The eldest daughter of the Floyd family? Hahaha! Do you think you’re qualified?” Abbie laughed.
Azalea’s face was flushed as Abbie laughed at her. “What are you laughing at? What’s so funny about that?”
“Since you’re the eldest daughter of the Floyd family, why are you not with them? The Floyd family has properties all over New York. Why are you not fucking staying at the Floyd’s family’s properties but my house instead? Don’t you know that I don’t welcome you? You fucking shameless thing?”
“Why are you scolding me?”
“What’s wrong with me scolding you? I tolerated you before, but I don’t want to anymore. Fucking go back to where you came from. Don’t tell me that my mum asked you to stay. My mum is nice, and she’s only tolerating you. But not me. So get lost!”
“Abbie, aren’t you afraid that I’ll tell Aunt Helen about Michael and you?”
“If you dare to tell my mum, I’ll tear your mouth apart! Aren’t you short of a finger? If you have a gash in your mouth as well, won’t you look absolutely adorable?”
“How dare you? It’s against the law. If you dare to do this to me, I’ll let you go to jail! Let me tell you. I’m not the Azalea like before. I am the eldest daughter of the Floyd family, and our capital is not smaller than the Clark family. They are not people you could mess with. Besides, there is also William, who is my cousin. If you dare to bully me, he will not let you go easily.” Azalea was desperate, so she bluffed and mentioned William to gain some respect.
“Are you afraid?” Abbie laughed and said, “You can try to see if I dare so! Don’t even mention the Floyd family or William. In William’s eyes, you are as disgusting as a maggot. He won’t even spare you a glance, let alone help you!”
Azalea was speechless. Abbie took a step forward and said, “I’ll tell you one more thing. My brother has arranged a few personal bodyguards for me. If I instruct them to kill you right now, they will do it immediately. Do you want to try me?”
Azalea did not dare to try and she subconsciously took a few steps back. “Don’t mess around. I’m telling you, Aunt Helen is inside.”
“Using my mother as a shield again? Do you think my mother will still help you? Stop dreaming. My mother will never help you now because she knows you are an ungrateful wretch. No matter how good she is to you, you will pay back her kindness with hatred!” Abbie was straightforward, and she then took out the diamond ring that Michael gave to her. “Look at this diamond ring. Are you envious of it? Do you like it? This is the diamond ring that Michael gave to me. A proposal ring!”
Azalea looked greedily at the enormous diamond ring in Abbie’s hands. Her heart was filled with jealousy, envy, and bitterness.
Abbie waved the ring in front of Azalea a few times. “I know you came after Michael, and I know you are trying to sow discord between Michael and me to break us up. I would have been provoked by you in the past, but now, don’t even think about it! I would not listen to anything you say. So if you’re looking to deceive me, no way!”
Azalea naturally wouldn’t admit that she was jealous and wanted to scheme against Abbie. “I didn’t try to scheme against you!”
“Then what are you doing here? Are you so kind to come and visit my mum? You won’t even believe the lie you said. Azalea, let me be straight with you. from now on, if you fucking dare to gossip in front of my mum about Michael and me, I will get my bodyguards to screw you up!”
Abbie then pointed at the door. “Are you going to get lost on your own? Or should I ask someone to throw you out?”
“Aunt Helen allowed me to stay here…”
“Throw her out!” Abbie raised her voice, and two bodyguards suddenly appeared. They grabbed Azalea and dragged her out like a dead animal.
Azalea opened her mouth and wanted to shout, but her mouth was immediately stuffed with something smelly. The bodyguard’s voice was cold. “I don’t want to break your hand. If you don’t want to be disfigured, get out of here obediently. No one here will help you!”
Azalea was so frightened that she didn’t dare to speak anymore. She had never thought that Abbie would be so ruthless. As a wise man would not fight when the odds were against him, Azalea was thrown out of the mansion by the bodyguards.
Abbie then entered the living room without looking back. Before entering the living room, she had a smile on her face. “Mum, I’m back!”
Helen was sitting in the living room. When she heard the voice, she turned around and frowned. “Why are you back so late? Where have you been? And why is your phone off?”
“I went to see a friend and had a meal together! My phone was turned off because the battery was depleted.” Abbie lied with a straight face.
Helen knew that the so-called friend Abbie went to see was Michael. When she thought of how Abbie spent the whole day with Michael, Helen felt anxious and uncomfortable.
She wanted to question Abbie, but she held back when she thought of Richard’s words. “Azalea is here.”
“Yes, we met at the door. She said she had something to do and left first!” Abbie replied as if nothing had happened.
“She left? Didn’t she say that she wanted to stay here?”
“She is the eldest daughter of the Floyd family, and they have so many luxurious mansions. Why would she want to live in our house?”
“Is that so?”
“That’s right. Azalea has become someone of a higher status. The Floyd family won’t mistreat their only daughter. So, mum, we don’t need to bother about Azalea.”
“I got it. But her luggage is till here.” Helen reminded Azalea.
“Her luggage? Get someone to send it to her. I almost forgot about it. She mentioned it to me just now.” Abbie then instructed the servant. “Go. Send Azalea her luggage.”
