William frowned as he read the message. Who was the one who had given Evelyn his number?
However, Evelyn sent a second message before he could figure it out, “You should put off all your plans at night because I want to treat you to dinner. I’ll wait for you in the Wolf Group.”
Had Evelyn gone mad? Why did she think he would have dinner with her? Who gave her the confidence to think so? William ignored her and directly blocked her number.
William ordered Bobby to stop the car when they drove past a dessert shop because he wanted to buy Valeria’s favourite dessert.
Valeria walked out while she held her tummy when they got home. She licked her lips when she saw the dessert in William’s hand, but she had a bitter expression on her face. “Honey, how can you do this to me? I’m so fat, but you still bought dessert for me.”
“It’s okay. I prefer it if you’re plumper!” William smiled and took her hand as he walked in. “It must be tough, right?”
“Of course, they moved around in my stomach so much that I couldn’t even have a peaceful afternoon nap.”
“I’ll teach them a lesson and make them behave themselves!”
“Humph, are you trying to fool me? Shouldn’t they listen to me as well?” Valeria said in a low voice, “Honey, I have something to tell you.”
“Why are you being so secretive? There are no outsiders here anyway, so let’s go in and talk.”
“I’ll just tell you now.” Valeria insisted.
“You’re going to do something bad, aren’t you?” William stopped and looked at Valeria with a look of understanding when she had a mischievous look on her face.
Valeria forced a smile and said, “Grandma asked me to find an etiquette teacher for Azalea and I think this is a good opportunity to deal with her. I want to find a very capable person to deal with Azalea, but I can’t think of a suitable candidate. Do you have someone in mind?”
“Really? Isn’t this a very simple matter?” William laughed. “How do you want to deal with Azalea?”
“Of course, I’m going to make her suffer. I’ve seen the etiquette instructors who would torture their students in those soap operas, so I want you to look for someone like that. I want Azalea to live in pain every day.”
William burst into laughter. “No problem. Let’s go into the room first!”
William pulled Valeria to sit down on the sofa with a smile and he took out some dessert for Valeria. Then, he immediately massaged her legs when he saw that her legs were swollen. Meanwhile, Hayden came in with his hands clasped behind his back.
When he saw William massaging Valeria’s legs, he asked, “Do your legs hurt?”
“No, it’s just a little swollen. It’ll be better after I massage it.”
Hayden looked at Valeria with concern. “Why don’t you go to the hospital and ask the doctor for his opinion? If not, we can discuss whether you should perform a C-section before your due date?”
William shook his head. “She’s only in her 34th week, so how can she have a C-section when the babies aren’t fully developed?”
Hayden scratched his head in embarrassment. “But Valeria looks so uncomfortable…”
“I feel alright and I only have six weeks left. Everything will turn out fine if I stay strong.”
Hayden laughed when he heard Valeria’s words and he asked a maid, “Is the soup for Madam ready? Bring it over for her if it is.”
“Dad, I can’t drink the soup because I ate dessert.”
“You can just drink a little and give the rest to William.”
William looked at Hayden and asked, “Do I really deserve to eat scraps now?”
“It’s already more than enough for you. You didn’t even give me a penny of the money you earn, so why should I let you live here for free?” Hayden retorted. Valeria couldn’t help but laugh out loud when she saw how upset William looked.
The auntie served two portions of the soup. Valeria continued to drink the soup with a smile and she did not forget to tease William. “How can you be so shameless to eat for free! Hurry up and pay for the food!”
William ignored Valeria’s provocation and drank the soup. His phone rang after he finished it, but he found that it was an unknown number after he took a look at it. He directly blocked the number immediately.
However, another unknown number called him in less than a minute. “William, did you block me? Why did you do that? You can block me all you want because I’ll just keep using different numbers to call you. The only way out is if you change your number, so you can just wait and see if you don’t believe me.”
Did Evelyn really lose her mind? William felt confused and frowned.
Valeria asked with concern when she saw William frowning, “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing.” William shook his head.
Evelyn sent another message as soon as he answered Valeria. “I just want to have a meal with you to catch up with the old days, so why are you avoiding me like this? Is it because you feel guilty? Are you hiding from me because of what happened that year?”
What the hell happened back then? Was it just because he saw her once that year? Evelyn might really be insane to actually use this to threaten him.
Was he the kind of person that would be threatened like this?
William did not hesitate to block Evelyn again and he even disabled incoming messages from unknown numbers on his phone.
Evelyn sent two messages in succession because she thought that William would fall for her plan, but the third message was blocked. Did William try to block her again?
Evelyn was so angry that she immediately changed her SIM card and called again. This time, she couldn’t get through, nor could she send a message. She was so angry that she gnashed her teeth. “Damn it, William! How can you be so heartless! Just you wait, I’ll never let you go!”
Azalea immediately began to come up with a plan when Meadow told her that Callum was going to meet Michael in the evening.
She called Emily and said, “Mom, I’m bored. Grandpa and Grandma don’t let me, but it’s too boring for me to stay here. I want to go out for a walk to relax. Can you convince Dad to let me go out?”
Emily didn’t agree. “Your grandparents want you to stay at home for your own good, so why don’t you listen to them? Why do you want to go out?”
“I want to see Michael. I haven’t seen him for a long time.” Azalea acted like a spoiled child. “He told me that he’s going to meet Dad tonight and I really want to see him. Mom, can you ask Dad and take me out?”
Azalea was spouting nonsense, but Emily didn’t doubt it and thought that Michael had asked Azalea out. Emily naturally wanted to help them since they were loving towards each other. “I’ll ask your father, but there’s nothing I can do if he disagrees.”
“He’ll will definitely agree if you tell him! Mom, please!”
Emily called Callum and asked him to take Azalea out for her to relax. Although he really didn’t want to, he agreed to it for Emily’s sake.
Deborah did not object when Azalea wanted to leave since Callum was around, so she began to dress up happily. She was going to go to see Michael tonight and create a sensational scandal with him to make Abbie furious!
