Azalea didn’t manage to ask anything on the phone, so she didn’t feel relieved. Meadow sent her a message, “I solved your mother’s problem. The Floyd family didn’t fire her and they kept her instead.”
“What’s going on? Didn’t the Floyd family get very angry last night?”
“I don’t know the specific reason, but I just called your mother. She proudly told me that the Floyd family was very concerned about her. Miss Floyd didn’t come over last night, but she especially apologized to Madelyn. The culprits were caught as well. Azalea, call your mother and take care of her. I know that you don’t like your mother, but you still have to put on an act.”
“I have already called her, but she was very angry and she told me not to contact her in the future. Meadow, why does the Floyd family want to help her?”
“I don’t know much about this. Does it have something to do with your aunt? Since your mother is fine, you can just call her every now and then. Remember that you have to take good care of your aunt. Your mother can be neglected, but your aunt must be prioritized.”
“I see. I’ll treat my aunt to a nice dinner tonight.”
Azalea agreed, but she had hidden intentions in her heart.
The Floyd family would not help someone as insignificant as Madelyn. She must have been able to have a comeback in such a short time because of Emily.
It seemed that her guess was correct. The reason why Emily asked Madelyn to go to the Floyd family as a servant must be that it was convenient for her to meet Angel.
What would Angel think? Should she test Angel?
When Azalea thought of this, she switched to another phone number and sent a message to Angel.
“Angel, do you want to know about your biological mother? I’m an insider. If you want to know more, we can schedule a meet-up and I’ll tell you everything.”
Azalea waited for Angel’s reply and waited for a long time, but she didn’t receive any response.
It was strange. Why didn’t Angel react? Didn’t she see the message?
Or was it that she didn’t care about her own mother at all?
Angel had been angry since she had been humiliated in the hospital. She had called Ornard many times during this period of time, but she couldn’t get through.
Ornard had taken too many drugs last night to have sex with Paisley, so he turned off his phone and slept. However, Angel thought that Ornard did not want to answer her phone.
Angel couldn’t find anyone to complain about her feelings, so she had no choice but to return to the company.
Angel did not have the mood to work while she sat in the office and she had been sulking.
She was angry that Fandrey had humiliated her and she hated Madelyn.
When she saw the message as soon as Azalea sent it, she glanced at it and sneered.
Angel thought that Emily was the sender. Emily pretended to have a high moral standing and she didn’t want to be involved in any feuds at all, but she finally showed her true colours.
Emily sent Madelyn to the Floyd family and secretly sent Angel a message to expose the obvious truth. However, Angel would not let Emily get what she wanted.
Didn’t Emily pretend to be be haughty? Well, Angel had to show Emily her power.
Angel originally wanted to show this message to Fandrey and Deborah and have them deal with Emily. However, she felt that it wasn’t appropriate to do so after thinking about it, so she decided to ask Ornard and Veronica about her next move.
Ornard couldn’t get through, so she forwarded the message from Azalea to Veronica.
“Mom, Emily finally made a move and she sent me a message. What does she mean?”
Angel wanted to show her loyalty and make veronica think that she had no other thoughts. However, Veronica had a different thought when she saw Emily’s message.
Veronica also thought that Emily had sent the message and she was furious. “Is Emily, that bitch, going to visit my daughter?”
Fortunately, Emily and Callum’s child had been killed. Although Angel was not Emily’s child, Veronica was still as furious as ever.
Emily must have a death wish for having this thought. Was she looking down on Veronica?
Veronica knew that this was not a small matter because Callum was still in love with Emily. If Emily recognized Angel as her daughter, it would make things even more complicated.
Angel was not a good person and she had no regard for her mother at all. Would she fall out with Veronica in the future?
She had to probe Angel’s thoughts before she said anything, so Veronica replied with a hypocritical message, “Veronica, since Emily sent you that message, you should meet her at the appointed time. No matter what, she is your biological mother. She has a bond with you that can never be severed!”
Veronica was obviously testing her with this message and this made Angel a little annoyed with Veronica’s act. She even openly told Veronica her thoughts, so what did the latter mean by doing this?
Angel replied her mother in annoyance. “Mom, you don’t have to test me. I’ve said that I will never acknowledge Emily as my mother, so you can rest assured.”
“I really didn’t try to test you and I’m just telling the truth.” Veronica was embarrassed after Angel saw through her act, so she could only continue to pretend.
Angel chuckled. It was impossible for Veronica to actually feel that way. She needed to show her loyalty in order to get Ornard and Veronica’s support. However, it seemed that Veronica didn’t fully trust Angel and it was true that she was not Veronica’s biological daughter. It seemed that she had to be on her guard against Veronica in the future.
Angel’s heart was filled with unhappiness, but she suppressed her anger and sent another message to Veronica. “I’m sick of Emily’s little tricks. Do you think I should show this to Grandma and Grandpa to let them deal with her?”
Veronica replied vaguely, “The decision is in your hands. You can do whatever you want.”
Angel swore when she saw Veronica’s message. She wanted to show the news to Fandrey and Deborah, but she was afraid that they would tell this to Callum. Her father would definitely get angry with her if he found out.
Judging from Veronica’s behaviour, she obviously didn’t want to intervene and she just wanted to see Angel punish Emily herself. How could she stand by as Angel went against Emily alone?
Angel had been dying to gain approval from Veronica and Ornard before. However, she now realized that they were not as sincere to her as she thought.
Since Ornard and Veronica were not related to her, it was very likely that they would turn against her and kill her. Such cunning people like them would never put all their eggs in one basket, so she couldn’t solely depend on Ornard and Veronica. She needed a backup plan.
Since she was Callum’s daughter, he would not harm her no matter how much he disliked her.
Since Emily took the initiative to contact her, she would seize the opportunity to use Emily to gain Callum’s favour. This way, she would be able to achieve her purpose as well.
Angel immediately had an idea. She did not want to show this message to Fandrey and Deborah, but she should send it to Callum first.
She wanted to see what Callum would do.
