Madelyn’s face changed again after she listened to Emily’s words. Was Emily telling her that all these incidents were planned by Angel?
Was Angel so vicious? Impossible! She was Angel’s biological mother, so how could Angel be so heartless to her?
Madelyn did not believe Emily’s suspicion. “Are you crazy? How dare you suspect Ms. Floyd? I’m telling you that she will never do that!”
“Do you think you know Ms. Floyd very well? I’m telling you, everyone in Floyd family are not kind. They are cruel!”
“You can’t think badly of everyone just because your relationship failed. I don’t know the reason for what happened at that time, so I have no judgement towards Deborah and Fandrey. Ms. Floyd is kind-hearted and very good-tempered. She isn’t arrogant even to servants and she is a good person.”
A hint of sarcasm appeared on the corners of Madelyn’s lips. “You’re not going to leave after you’ve become a servant of the Floyd family as a servant, are you?”
“Yes, I won’t! Emily, don’t force me to leave the Floyd family! If you do that, you have to bear the brunt of my living expenses. I don’t want much, just give me five million dollars.”
The smile on Emily’s face widened. Madelyn knew that Emily couldn’t afford five million, so she stated that price. Indeed, she didn’t have that much money and even if she did, why should she give it to such a despicable and immoral person like Madelyn?
She had already spoken her thoughts, so Madelyn’s death had nothing to do with her.

Emily didn’t stay in the ward much longer because Madelyn didn’t look like she was seriously injured. Instead, Madelyn was happy because she could make her own choice. Emily was not related to Madelyn in any way, so she had no obligation to help the latter.
Madelyn heaved a sigh of relief after Emily left, and she thought about what Emily had just said to her repeatedly. She still did not believe that Angel would plot against her.
Angel must be resentful towards her after suffering so much today. Hence, Madelyn couldn’t sit by and watch.
She had to take the initiative to talk to Deborah to take the blame and fix her relationship with Angel.
Madelyn thought that she couldn’t stay in the hospital anymore. Her legs were fine, but her teeth and her nose was broken. She couldn’t delay going back to the Floyd family to tell Deborah that Angel was completely innocent.
After Fandrey finished scolding Angel and went to the company, Deborah sat on the terrace in a depressed mood.
She didn’t have a daughter and her granddaughter was so ignorant that she couldn’t find anyone to talk to.
Deborah missed Valeria very much. “It would be so nice if Valeria was in the country. I could give her a call and she would come over to chat with me.”
She sent a message to Valeria. “Valeria, when are you coming back with William?”
Valeria got up to have breakfast and William was ready to go. When she received Deborah’s message, she replied, “I’ll be back in a few days and I bought you a gift. You’ll like it.”
“How many days left? I miss you and I’m bored without you.”
“Angel can go shopping with you!”
“Don’t mention it. Angel has been doing stupid things recently and your grandfather scolded her just now. Alas, I don’t know why she could end up like this. How can our family have someone like her?”
Valeria had heard from William that Angel had schemed against Madelyn. She didn’t want to talk about someone as crazy as Angel, so she changed the topic. “Grandma, shall I ask my mom to drink tea with you?”

“Do you want Abbie and Braelynn to keep you company?” Valeria mentioned Braelynn, who was the legitimate daughter of the Floyd family. It was better to let Braelynn cultivate a relationship with Deborah so that it would be easier for them in the future.
Deborah didn’t have any good feelings for Abbie and Braelynn. “I’d better not and I prefer talking to you. You can enjoy your time with William now. I’ll wait for you to come back and we can have tea together.”
