Chapter 1119 Teach Her

Book:That Stranger Lying Beside Me Published:2024-6-1

The coldness in Fandrey’s eyes grew even more intense after he watched Angel’s clumsy performance.
The girl standing in front of him was obviously his granddaughter, but the more disgusted he felt the longer he looked at her.
How could she be so vicious and despicable?
He would have sent her to prison a long time ago if she wasn’t a member of the Floyd family.
However, Fandrey controlled himself when he remembered what William had said. “The police is interrogating the culprits now, and I believe there will be results soon. Let’s talk about Madelyn. She was beaten because of you, so shouldn’t you think of something to make it up to her?”
“I… I don’t know that Aunt Madelyn would really buy snacks for me. This is my fault, but I didn’t mean to…” Angel tried to defend herself, but Fandrey snorted and interrupted her.
“Shut up! Now is not the time for you to defend yourself! Haven’t you realized your own mistakes?”
Deborah’s heart ached when she saw Fandrey staring at Angel. “Dear, why are you so agitated? Angel didn’t do it on purpose.”
“You don’t have to speak up for her! I’m teaching her a lesson now!” Fandrey didn’t spare Deborah any pride and continued to lecture Angel.
“You didn’t stand up to clarify for Madelyn when you knew that she was beaten and wronged. Instead, you allowed the situation to develop to the present state and you even let your grandmother fire Madelyn even though you didn’t know the details. How can you do this?”
Fandrey scolded her harshly in front of so many servants. Angel’s face turned red in embarrassment and she immediately wanted to run away.
“Our family has always been virtuous. We have never wronged an innocent person and we will never forgive someone vicious. As the eldest daughter of the Floyd family, you did not reflect on yourself and admit your mistakes when you were in the wrong. You ran away from your responsibilities and failed to withhold justice, do you think it was right of you to do this?”
Fandrey was not going to let her off, and Angel didn’t know how he would deal with her. She could only apologize, “I was wrong! Grandpa, I’m sorry!”
“Your mistakes won’t be solved just because you repented! How are you going to deal with this? How are you going to compensate Madelyn?”
Angel never wanted to make it up to Madelyn and she just wanted to get rid of Madelyn in the first place. Now that Fandrey scolded Angel in front of so many servants, she wanted nothing more than to kill Madelyn.
She couldn’t show her hatred, so she said with a look of regret, “Grandpa, how do you think I should compensate Aunt Madelyn?”
“Madelyn encountered such a thing because of you, but you didn’t clarify the situation at all. She was misunderstood by others because of this and she suffered greatly. In order to show your sincerity, you must go to the hospital to apologize to her personally and ask her to forgive you!”
Fandrey wanted her to apologize to Madelyn? Was Madelyn qualified? Not only was Angel shocked, but Deborah felt the same as well and she immediately said, “Dear, is it necessary for Angel to apologize?”
“Don’t interrupt me. It’s all because you’ve spoiled her like this. Do you know that you’ve harmed her?”
Fandrey glared at Deborah, who was embarrassed by his gaze and she didn’t dare to persuade him any further.
When Angel saw that Fandrey was staring at her, she knew that there was no hope for her and agreed honestly. “I will go and apologize to Aunt Madelyn!”
“An apology needs sincerity, and it’s not a mere act! Our family didn’t rise to this status because of your capability, but it’s because we know propriety, righteousness, integrity, and justice. Your apology has to hold weight, do you understand?”
“Yes. I will personally go to the hospital to apologize to Aunt Madelyn.” Angel swallowed her hatred and replied.
“That’s more like it. Go to the hospital now and apologize to Madelyn! By the way, all of you must accompany Angel to witness her apology.” Fandrey ordered other servants to follow Angel to the hospital to apologize, which made her face turn pale with fright.
She would be humiliated if she had to apologize to Madelyn in front of so many servants.
Deborah looked at Fandrey with a worried expression. She wanted to say something, but she swallowed her words when she saw Fandrey’s cold expression.
Fandrey’s gaze swept across the faces of all the servants. “Remember, you have been part of our family the moment you worked for us. There is no social hierarchy in the Floyd family. As long as everyone works hard without cheating or gossiping around, all of you will be treated equally! Let alone Angel, even if Deborah and I are in the wrong, we will apologize!”
Angel was surrounded by bodyguards and servants when she went to Madelyn’s ward. When Madelyn saw Angel coming with so many people, she was surprised and happy. “Miss, you are here! I was wronged! I obviously went to buy snacks for you, but someone spread rumours that I was with my lover and slandered me. Fortunately, Miss, you can help me clarify it.”
Madelyn thought that Angel had asked Sammuel to come to the hospital, and it was good that Angel was her own daughter. When she knew that she was fired last night, she was desperate and she thought that Angel had given up on her.
She only felt relieved after Sammuel came to question her.
Madelyn thanked Angel sincerely, but the truth was that Angel was forced to meet Madelyn.
If Angel was alone, she would surely pretend to be confused and play along with Madelyn. But now, she was not alone and more than a dozen staff were following her.
All the servants already knew that Angel didn’t help Madelyn clarify anything, so her face burned with embarrassment.
She could hardly bear being in the room even before she began to apologize.
She was so humiliated that she wanted nothing more than to beat Madelyn to a pulp.
The servants and bodyguards did not speak at all, and they were all looking at Madelyn and Angel.
The muscles on Angel’s face trembled a few times and she struggled to squeeze out the words, “Aunt… Aunt Madelyn, I’m here to apologize to you!”
“Apologize?” Madelyn was confused.
“It was my fault last night. If I didn’t want to eat those rice balls, you wouldn’t have gone out to buy them and encountered such a thing. After I found out that you were beaten, I didn’t clarify the rumour at once even though you were humiliated. I’m very ashamed. Aunt Madelyn, please forgive me!”
Since this was the case, Angel was also in a bad situation and her apology was done very quickly.
Madelyn was dumbfounded when she heard Angel’s words. Did Angel mean that she did not help her at all? “Miss, you… what do you mean?”
