Gavin and Hayden left in their private plane. Since both of them were so famous, it was impossible for their actions to be unknown and the Floyd family found out soon.
Deborah had always felt ashamed to meet Valeria because Fandrey and William quarrel.
When she suddenly heard that Hayden and Gavin had gone to the wedding venue, she immediately became anxious and muttered to Fandrey, “William and Valeria are about to get married. Why hasn’t the invitation been sent over yet?”
“It hasn’t started yet. Why are you worried when it’s going to happen next week?” Fandrey was not anxious at all. After all, he and William hadn’t fallen out with each other for real.
However, Deborah was not as calm as him. “Will they not invite us because you fought with William?”
“No! These are two separate matters. No matter how angry William is with me, he wouldn’t be so rude. We are his real grandparents and his image would be tainted if he doesn’t invite us when he gets married.”
“That’s hard to say! William is not the kind of person who can be easily dealt with. If he is really angry, he might not invite us.” Deborah felt that William did not need the Floyd family at all. He was very capable and powerful, so why would he need the help of the Floyd family?
The more Deborah thought about it, the more worried she felt about the wedding. “It’s all your fault, you old geezer. Why do you have to go against William? I’m telling you, I’ll ignore you for the rest of my life if they don’t send me an invitation.”
Fandrey did not know how to react and he felt very upset. Was he to blame? He was just following William’s instructions.
Angel sat on the side and listened to their conversation. Since Fandrey couldn’t expose everything directly, he coughed and changed the topic.
However, Deborah did not allow him to do that. “Call William and ask about the marriage. I’ve already prepared the gifts and dresses. If he gets angry and refuses to invite us, wouldn’t that be wasting my effort? I can’t even personally attend the wedding to congratulate my only grandson. What’s this all about?”
Fandrey stroked his beard and said, “You have a good relationship with Valeria. Why don’t you call and ask her?”
“Do you think I don’t want to? It’s all because of you that I’m embarrassed to call Valeria.”
Angel was anxious when she heard this because she didn’t want Fandrey to really cut ties with William. After all, she still had some delusions about William.
William hated her so much right now. If he cut ties with the Floyd family, she would never be able to see him again. Angel was concerned and she took the initiative to ask, “How about I call William to ask?”
“What? Do you think that Valeria will talk to you?” Deborah denied directly. “You don’t have the right to ask about this matter. Dear, you should make the call.”
“No! That b*stard William was so fierce to me. It’s too shameful for me to call him!”
“I don’t care! You have to make this call. If you don’t do it, I won’t stop bothering you about this.” Deborah began to be unreasonable.
She grabbed Fandrey’s phone and dialled William’s number. The call was connected and William’s tone was the same as usual. “Is there something wrong, Grandpa?”
If not for the fact that Angel was in front of him, he wouldn’t need to put on an act. He had no choice, so he coughed and asked, “I heard that your wedding will be held next week?”
“That’s right!”
“Your grandmother wanted me to ask about the invitation. Why hasn’t it been sent over yet?”
“I forgot. I’ll get someone to send the three invitation cards over immediately!” William knew that Angel was beside him when he heard Fandrey’s tone.
He never intended to let Angel attend the wedding, so he took this opportunity to tell Fandrey now.
“Three?” Fandrey was stunned for a moment. The Floyd family now had four people in the country and Veronica was abroad. Shouldn’t there be four invitation cards?
What did William mean by giving three invitation cards?
The first thing Fandrey thought of was that William did not want Callum to attend. However, he realized that William did not mention his dislike for Callum at all in their conversation. Fandrey then thought of Angel. Did William not want Angel to attend his wedding?
Did William hate Angel to this extent? He didn’t even bother to do things out of formalities.
No matter what, Angel was the only daughter of the Floyd family. What was William thinking?
Fandrey immediately asked, “What about your cousin? You’re not going to invite her?”
Angel was not qualified to attend his wedding, but it was not the time to say it. William said apologetically, “Grandpa, the number of people I can invite for my wedding with Valeria is limited. I invited only my closest relatives. The venue has limited space, so I can only give you three seats.”
Fandrey was stunned when William mentioned his relatives and the latter seemed to be implying something.
Was he saying that Angel wasn’t his close relative? Weren’t they cousins? How could he hate Angel so much?
Did Valeria not want Angel to participate?
When Fandry thought of the shameful things that Angel had done to Valeria before, he sighed in his heart.
Angel indeed had a bad personality. William’s wedding was not a small matter and there was no room for any mistakes. He might not let Angel attend for Valeria’s safety.
Fandrey thought for a while and hung up the phone without saying anything. Angel and Deborah heard that they would only get three invitation cards clearly.
Both of them felt that it was strange, especially Deborah. When Fandrey hung up the phone, she asked, “What’s going on? Why are there only three invitations from William?”
“William said the seats were not enough and he didn’t invite many people.”
“What?” Deborah was confused. Was this obviously an excuse?
William was not poor at all, so why would his wedding have limited seats.
“Can’t they fit one more person?”
“I don’t know. We didn’t participate in the planning of the wedding, so only William knows the specific details.”
“That doesn’t matter. What will other people think if we only receive three invitation cards?” Deborah muttered.
“Who said we only have four members? Don’t we have five? Did you forget that Veronica is abroad?” Fandrey felt uncomfortable. He knew that William had his own principles, but he would never do such a ridiculous thing just because he hated Angel.
It was not the time to discuss this matter, so he looked at Angel and said, “Since William said so, I don’t think there’s a place for you and we can’t make any requests. You don’t have to attend the wedding.”
