Valeria brought Abbie with her and stormed into the room. William and Mark, who were in the room, looked over when the door was pushed open. When Mark saw Valeria and Abbie, he stood up with a smile on his face and reached out his hand to Valeria, “You must be Madam Howard, right? You’re beautiful. How are you? I’m Mark!”
Valeria also reached out her hand. “Hello, Mr. Mark!”
William looked at Valeria with a faint smile. “Dear, you’re late!”
“I… Yes, I had some delays!” Valeria looked at the four sets of tableware on the table and said.
William must have seen the message that Abbie had sent to Valeria. Once he knew that she and Abbie were about to meet at the Mark, he set up a plan to intercept them in advance. He also predicted that she and Abbie would come over to his room, and he had even prepared tableware for them. Valeria was annoyed when she found that she had fallen prey to one of William’s tricks.
She sat down next to William and lifted her foot to step on him. He predicted that Valeria would do this, so he dodged silently.
Valeria sat down angrily when she lost the chance to step on William’s foot.
Mark smiled. “I really admire how well Mr. Howard treats you!”
William nodded. “Yes, everyone who met us would always think that we’re a perfect match. To be honest, my wife loves me very much!”
Valeria felt even more annoyed when she listened to William’s self-praise and she was about to think of a way to deal with him when Mark said, “I can tell that you love Madam Howard very much, and someone like you is hard to find these days. I’m honored to design a wedding dress for Madam Howard and witness your happiness!”
“Thank you, Mr. Mark!” Valeria smiled happily. She was in a good mood and she thought that it was all thanks to Abbie. She glanced at William and tilted her head to whisper, “Dear, since Mr. Mark is so sincere, I’ll let Mr. Mark make the design for my wedding dress. You can put your designer’s design aside for now.”
William smiled and didn’t say anything. He just picked up his cup and drank the tea instead. Mark continued, “I’ve already brought the wedding dress with me. I’ll let Madam Howard and Miss Clark try it on first. Tell me if you’re not satisfied or uncomfortable. I’ll change it right away.”
“Alright! Mr. Mark, you’ve worked hard!” Valeria said and found something strange. “Has the wedding dress been designed? This…”
“Yes, the wedding dresses and gowns have been completed. I designed and made them myself. Madam Howard, I hope you’ll be satisfied!”
Couldn’t Valeria understand what Mark had just said? She looked at Abbie in surprise and both of them were bewildered. Both of them understood why Mark would be so kind to them. It was because of William, not Abbie.
Valeria was so moved that she looked at William and subconsciously grabbed his hand. William put down the cup and held her hand. They held each other’s hands and looked at each other. Although they did not say anything, deep feelings were in their hearts.
Meanwhile, in the hospital. Natasya, who was in a coma, regained a little consciousness. She slowly opened her eyes and saw a ray of blinding light. It was so strong that Natasya couldn’t open her eyes, so she had to close them again. After a while, she heard a familiar voice, “Why haven’t you woken up yet?”
“According to my prediction, she will wake up soon. Mr. Anthony, don’t worry!”
A stranger was comforting Hardy, who was obviously annoyed. “Are you all ready? Will there be any problems?”
“Don’t worry, I’ve been doing this for decades. There won’t be any problems. Besides, it doesn’t matter even if there’s something wrong. You just need to take what you need.”
Natasya became even more awake as she listened to the conversation between Hardy and the stranger. Was Hardy visiting her because he was worried?
Natasya believed that he still had feelings for her, so she thought to herself and said, “Hardy!”
Hardy stopped talking and looked at Natasya with a trace of hatred on his face when he heard her voice. He ordered the man, “She’s awake! Keep the light down.”
The man immediately turned off the lights and Natasya could finally see what was going on around her.
Hardy looked down upon him with his hands in his pockets. Bevan was standing next to him while there was a doctor wearing a white coat and a mask next to him.
Natasya’s first guess was that Hardy had bribed a doctor to visit her. He wouldn’t abandon her and he must be here to discuss with her how to avoid the police’s interrogation.
Natasya smiled at Hardy when she thought of this. Her face was full of scars, so she looked extremely disgusting when she smiled. Natasya didn’t know it at all, and she even pretended to be coquettish to Hardy. “Hardy! I’ve been waiting for you for a long time!”
Hardy looked at her and smiled. His smile looked so vicious to the point that she shivered.
She wanted to sit up, but she realized that she was unable to move at all. She turned her head and found that she was tied to the operating table.
Natasya finally realized that something was wrong. “Hardy, why did you tie me up?”
“You’re sick, so the doctor is going to operate on you.” Hardy looked at Natasya and smiled again. He hated Natasya deep in his heart, but he was still controlled by the blood hex. He realized that he couldn’t hate her at all when he was with her. Naturally, he could not bear to see Natasya hurt, so he adjusted his expression and softened his voice. “After this operation, the police will no longer trouble you. You will regain your freedom.”
“Really?” Natasya asked in surprise.
“Of course! The surgery will begin very soon. It may hurt, but you need to bear with it. I’ll wait for the good news outside!” Hardy said while he glanced at Bevan and the doctor. “I’m going out. You guys may start!”
After that, he turned around and left. Natasya opened her mouth and tried to stop him, but Bevan went up to her and stuffed a towel into her mouth to shut her up. He sneered and said, “Let’s begin!”
The doctor nodded. Under the strong light, Natasya could not open her eyes at all and she heard the doctor’s voice. “If I don’t put her under some anaesthetics, she can’t hold on for long. After all, we’re operating on her heart.”
“We don’t care how long she can hold on. We only want the blood of her heart. We just need to ensure Mr. Anthony can drink it when she is awake. As for this vicious and shameless woman, she should have died long ago!”
When Natasya heard Bevan’s cold and cruel words, she was shocked to the extreme. She wanted to speak, but her mouth was stuffed with a towel. She tried to struggle, but her limbs were firmly fixed to the operating table.
Natasya watched as the doctor walked over with gloves and a cold scalpel. Then, he raised the scalpel at her.
