Natasya was successfully sent to the hospital for treatment and the relevant personnel of the hospital reported to Hardy at once, “Mr. Anthony, Natasya has been sent to the hospital and has now entered the intensive care unit. What do you think we should do next?”
Hardy was overjoyed to hear that. “Okay! Keep tabs on her and I’ll call you later.”
Hardy got up and went to look for Paisley after he hung up. He smiled and said, “Paisley, the plan went very well and Natasya has been sent to the ICU!”
“Really?” Paisley applauded and laughed. “How can she be so obedient? Hardy, the opportunity has arrived!”
“Yes, finally!” Hardy smiled sarcastically. “I thought that this b*tch was smart, but it seems that she’s a fool.”
“Now that she has no way out, she would be desperate for a chance to escape. To put it bluntly, she dared to do this because she thought that she could completely control you.” Paisley’s face was full of disdain. “Since she volunteered to come to us, then we don’t need to be polite as well. Let’s start preparing. Let’s not wait any longer and carry out the plan at night!”
“Wait a minute! Let’s check on the Saunders family first. Although Archer and his family hates Raelyn very much, Gavin is different. No matter what, Raelyn is his daughter and he would not just sit by. We have to find out Raelyn’s situation before we take any action.” Hardy picked up the phone and said, “I’ll call Bevan and ask him to confirm the situation just in case.”
Paisley knew that Hardy was being cautious, so she did not stop him. Soon, Hardy dialled Bevan’s number and asked, “What’s going on with the Saunders family?”
“Mr. Anthony, I just got the news that Raelyn was hospitalized. She was seriously injured last night and I heard that it was self-inflicted.”
“What? How could she do such a revolting thing to gain Gavin’s favour? How did Gavin react?” Hardy immediately asked.
“Gavin went to the hospital with her last night, as did Archer and his family. He didn’t go home until after midnight and William also went to the Saunders family early this morning. However, no one knows what they are going to talk about.”
“William also went to the Saunders family? Why does it sound so strange?” Hardy felt scared when he heard William’s name.
William would not go to the Saunders family just to stand up for Raelyn. He would be the first to deal with her after all of her vicious schemes. Therefore, William would never go to the Saunders family to save Raelyn.
Gavin could not ignore his own daughter, and William would not save Raelyn as well. What were they going to do if they met?
Hardy couldn’t figure it out, so he asked Bevan, “What’s Raelyn’s current situation?”
“She just woke up. I asked around and they said that she was seriously injured with dozens of slashes all over her body. It was not fatal, but it was enough to make her feel excruciating pain.”
Hardy was shocked. “How could she be so cruel to herself? This can’t self-harm!”
Bevan agreed with him. “I don’t think so either. Raelyn is not a fool, so how could she be so cruel to herself? I’m pretty sure this is part of William and Archer’s plan”
“If so, wouldn’t Gavin ask William about the truth?” Hardy guessed.
“I don’t think so. William left the Saunders family soon after he arrived and he looked relaxed when he came out. He’s taking Valeria to accompany the elders of the Floyd family to have a barbecue in the villa,” Bevan added.
“That’s weird! What on earth happened there?” Hardy frowned and whispered. Paisley immediately interrupted after hearing his conversation with Bevan. “Hardy, William is full of tricks and he would never show mercy to the people who harmed him. I think Raelyn was stabbed dozens of times and it must be part of William’s plan.”
Hardy was confused. “Yes, I think so too! Raelyn was covered in wounds and it’s impossible that Gavin didn’t suspect him. He must’ve felt suspicious, so he asked William to go there. However, William was completely relaxed when he went to the Saunders family. This proved that he didn’t have a conflict with Gavin. Why?”
“He has always been sophisticated in his schemes. Did he persuade Gavin to believe him?”
“If Gavin trusts him, he must be disappointed with Raelyn. What did William do to make Gavin feel that way?”
Hardy couldn’t figure it out, and so did Paisley. She pondered for a moment and said,
“In fact, there is a way to prove whether Gavin has given up on Raelyn or not.”
“What is it?”
“Keep an eye on the hospital. Raelyn has been seriously injured, so Gavin will definitely visit her if he still cares for her. If he doesn’t go, it means that things have changed.”
“Yes!” Hardy came to his senses. “Bevan, get someone to keep an eye on Raelyn in the hospital and see if Gavin will visit her.”
“Mr. Anthony, Raelyn has already woken up and she was shouting wildly in the ward. The nurse gave her a sedative. Raymond brought Arthur to meet her when she was awake, but Gavin was nowhere to be seen.”
“Is that so? It seems that our guess is correct. Mr. Saunders is so disappointed with his daughter! But it’s hard to say since he is extremely protective of her. Let’s wait and see. Since Raelyn is under control for a while, it’s safer to take action after making sure of the situation.”
Meanwhile, in the Saunders family, Arthur reported to Gavin about meeting Raelyn. “When she saw me and Raymond, she shouted and said that it was Raymond and I harmed her. She wanted to complain to you, so Raymond called you.”
“Haha!” Gavin sneered, “I would protect her at all costs if she were my daughter. However, she’s not related to me and she still expects me to stand up for her. Is she crazy?”
“Maybe she is! When I came back, I heard Raymond and William talking about her mother on the phone. Laila seemed to have died because of Raelyn and she was injected with a deadly drug.”
“What?” Gavin was shocked. “Didn’t you suspect that Raelyn was Laila’s daughter? Laila has always treated her so well, so why did she kill her?”
“I heard from Raymond and William that maybe Raelyn found out who she was, or maybe Laila told Raelyn her real identity. She was afraid of being exposed, so she killed her!”
“Is she even human? How could she be so heartless?!” Gavin was shocked and angry. “Is this William’s assumption? No, tell me honestly, was it William plan?”
“Sir!”
“I’m not confused and I’m not stupid. I thought about it carefully last night. It’s impossible for Raelyn to hurt herself like this and she wouldn’t be so foolish. Someone did it to her, right? The only possible culprit is William!”
