Meanwhile, Raelyn woke up after being in a coma for more than ten hours in the hospital. As she regained consciousness, she felt pain from every part of her body and she couldn’t stop herself from screaming.
The nurse pushed the door open and came in after she heard Raelyn’s scream. She frowned and said, “Why are you screaming!? Don’t you know that you’re disturbing the other patients? Why did you stab yourself in the first place? You deserve it!”
Raelyn was scolded by the nurse coldly. “Who said that I stabbed myself? I was hurt by someone else! I want to call the police!”
The nurse smiled and said, “What? No one’s stopping you!”
Raelyn was covered with wounds on her arms and legs, so how could she lift her hands? There was no way for her to make a call at all, so she could only ask the nurse, “Miss, can you help me call the police?”
“I’m not obligated to do so. What if they think you’re making a false report? How can I explain it to the police? If you want to call them, do it yourself!”
Raelyn could do nothing when the nurse blatantly ignored her. Just then, what happened the previous night came to mind.
She went to complain to Gavin. However, she was stopped by Arthur, who insulted her harshly. Then, he also arranged for someone to beat her up. Did Gavin know about this?

And this might be kept in the dark by Gavin, so she had to ask him to publicize this news and stand up for her. Raelyn thought about this and begged the nurse, “Miss, can you call my dad for me?”
“Who is your dad?” the nurse asked.
“I’ll tell you the phone number. Please help me make a call!”
As Raelyn said that, the door of the ward was pushed open before Arthur and Raymond came in.
Raelyn shrank back when she saw them. Raymond waved his hand to usher the nurse out before walking slowly to the bedside and looking down at Raelyn. “Is it excruciating? Do you want to tell me what’s going on with you? Did you want to be pitied so much that you stabbed yourself dozens of times?”
“You did it, didn’t you?” Raelyn looked at Raymond with hatred. “How cruel can you be?! Raymond, I will not let you go!”
“Oh, why are you still so arrogant now?” Raymond laughed. “I’m so scared! Raelyn, you’re foolish enough that you dare to threaten me. Do you have a death wish? Since you don’t know what’s good for you, why don’t I hire someone to make you experience the pain from last night again?”
Raymond’s threat frightened Raelyn, who was in unbearable pain. If Raymond continued to injure her, she would lose her life. She was so afraid that her tone softened involuntarily, “You… Aren’t you afraid that Dad will know about this?”
“Hm? What’s there to be afraid of? You hurt yourself in order to gain sympathy, so what does it have to do with me?” Raymond said while he shrugged his shoulders.
Raelyn trembled with anger after hearing Raymond’s words. In the past, she was the best at using this method to deal with people. She would make them suffer and with no way to resist her. However, she did not expect that such a thing would happen to her one day.
Raelyn was so furious that she glared at Raymond fiercely and gnashed her teeth. “How dare you say that? Do you think everyone else is a fool? I’m telling you, the truth will definitely come to light!”
“Hm? Raelyn, do you still think that you have a chance to regain your success? You’ll never get such a chance ever again! We will never allow that to happen!” Raymond’s eyes became cold.
He had always been gentle, but his face suddenly had a murderous look. Raymond felt like a fearsome stranger at the moment, which made Raelyn shudder in fear.
“I’m telling you, Dad won’t believe you unless you kill me! Even if you do that, he will investigate this matter. What’s the benefit of killing me? I’m your aunt. Raelyn was still living in her fantasy and she still had schemes up her sleeves. Did she think that he was an idiot?
Raymond laughed and said, “Raelyn, you think too highly of yourself. Do you really think that Grandpa will always believe you unconditionally? You will never give up until the day you die, right? In order to satisfy you, I will ask Grandpa to call you. Tell grandpa that I did it to you and listen to what he’ll say.”
Raymond called Gavin with a sneer on his face. “Grandpa, it’s me. I came to the hospital to see Raelyn. She just woke up and she wants to call you now.”
Raymond said with confidence, “Hey, you can talk to grandpa now!”
Raelyn did not expect that Raymond would actually dare to make the call. She even suspected that he was playing a trick on her, so she tried to call out, “Dad!”
Gavin’s cold voice could be heard, “Did you wake up? How are you doing now?”
Raelyn burst into tears after she confirmed that it was Gavin’s voice, “Dad, I don’t feel good! My whole body hurts and I can’t move! Boohoo!”
If Gavin had heard Raelyn cry in the past, he would be very distressed. However, he felt nothing after knowing that Raelyn was not his daughter at all.
This woman was not his daughter. It would be alright if it were an honest mistake, but he couldn’t accept it because it was done deliberately by someone with ulterior motives.
Raelyn’s parents had exchanged their child because they wanted a share of the Saunders family’s wealth. However, she was still ungrateful even though she had lived a luxurious life in another family. She even spitefully framed Gavin’s own son and his grandchildren. If he felt still felt pity for such a vicious woman, he would be a fool!
