Raymond did not have the slightest sympathy for Raelyn upon witnessing her crumble. One would die miserably should one show mercy on such a cruel person.
He came here today to let Raelyn have a taste of her own medicine. He immediately continued speaking…
“You are well aware whether I am just spewing bullshit or telling the truth, aren’t you? Declan wanted to carry this secret to his grave before being betrayed. He did not expect Devon and Natasya to frame me for murdering his daughter. He decided to come clean for the sake of his only daughter that he adores so much. I have Declan’s recording with me and do feel free to have a listen!”
Raymond took out the recording device and Declan’s voice soon emerged. All the past events were eventually being told by Declan. He confessed to exchanging masks with his brother just to sleep with Raelyn and also talked about Talitha’s background. Raelyn sprung up madly and tried to get ahold of the recording device. However, her plan had failed as she was being pushed away by the bodyguards.
Gavin’s face was as pale as a ghost and said, “Those b*stards! How dare they mess with our family!”
“Well, it takes two to tango. Why would the blame be put on others when she is the shameless one? Besides, what does this matter have anything to do with the Saunders family? We have nothing to do with her personal matter!”
Raymond sneered and looked at Raelyn with a mocking gaze. “You kept pointing fingers at me for getting rid of Talitha. In fact, she has always been targeted by your husband, Devon, as well as Natasya. They not only want to frame me but also intend to obtain the ownership of Saunders Enterprise. Your objective would have been achieved should I arrive later. You must be utterly mad at me, right?”
Raelyn had been long in the game and personally saw Talitha’s corpse. It was impossible for her daughter to come back from the dead. Hence, she needed to blame it all on Raymond in hopes to turn the tables around.
She swiftly snapped back, “Nonsense! It would be ridiculous for both me and my husband to lay a finger on Talitha. Have you been planning this all along by getting rid of the evidence? Raymond, you are such a cruel person and I demand you to bring Talitha back alive! I promise to never obtain Gavin’s share should you fulfill this request of mine!”
“Mummy, are you telling the truth?” A female voice suddenly emerged and continued speaking, “Are you sure in keeping your hands off from grandfather’s company shares if I’m well and fine?”
Talitha took off her hat, sunglasses, and mask. She pushed open the door and walked into the study room. Raelyn was taken aback upon seeing Talitha in excellent condition. Gavin was also stunned and asked, “Talitha? Is that really you?”
“Yes. I am well and doing fine!” Talitha nodded and continued, “Grandpa, Raymond has come to my rescue. I would have been murdered by both Devon and Natasya if it wasn’t for him.”
“But… this is impossible! How could Natasya do harm to you? Talitha, have you been drugged by Raymond?” Raelyn instantly questioned.
“You have still chosen to slander both Raymond and me. Are you really my mother?” Talitha’s eyes turned watery.
“How could you have not known that I’m not the daughter of Devon? You should be well aware that Natasya wanted to get rid of me, shouldn’t you?”
“Why would I lie to you? Talitha, cut it out with your nonsense and you can’t believe Raymond at all. He deliberately wants to sow discord between us and make our relationship increasingly tense. His end goal is to see our family in chaos.”
“I was actually hoping that Raymond is the troublemaker. However, it is a fact that Natasya instructed someone to lay a finger on me. Evidence would soon be provided if you’re feeling skeptical about it.”
Talitha chuckled helplessly and continued, “Raymond is telling the truth! Don’t you think that it’s absolutely ridiculous to get married to both Devon and Declan at the same time? Haha! Devon is still intending to use you in obtaining grandfather’s company shares. He is clearly uninterested in you judging by his behavior. You are worth nothing in his eyes!”
“Shut up!” Raelyn charged forward before giving a slap on Talitha’s face. “You worthless piece of shit! How daring of you to cross the line just to get rid of us! I will give you h*ll for being so foolish by joining forces with Raymond!”
The bodyguards pushed Raelyn away. Talitha giggled and said, “Why can’t I sense any sadness from you even if I have faked my death? Why would you demand the company shares and money from grandpa then? You’re absolutely right in commenting how foolish and worthless I am. Care to know why? Because I have followed your footsteps! How unlucky I am to be born into this family. Why would I have to be the daughter of a senseless mother like you?”
Talitha questioned and her tears rolled down. “Grandpa, my parents have the same personality which portrays them as shameless and vicious persons. There is no family affection towards her and she would take advantage of the people that care about her. Grandpa, it would be a big mistake should you continue to side with her!”
Gavin glanced at Talitha before shifting it over to Raymond. His gaze finally fell on her daughter, Raelyn.
Gavin unexpectedly remained calm instead of fuming in anger. He shook his head and sat down with a smile, “How would I… haha, I must be out of my mind to be fooled by you. Get lost right now! I have decided to disown you as my daughter from now onwards! You will no longer be part of the Saunders family!”
Raelyn still tried to defend herself by saying, “Dad, you can’t believe their words as this is all Raymond’s fault. They are intending to sow discord…”
“That’s enough and cut the bullshit! You should start cooking up some ideas to save Natasya as her attempted murder case has been established. The police would be coming for her real soon! Declan finally comes clean just to save his daughter and it’ll definitely be a chaotic scene. You should know really well about the illegal things that Devon, your husband, has done and he would be enjoying his time in prison in the future!”
“But… dad…” Raelyn’s face turned pale. She knew too well what would happen if Declan turned his back against her.
She tried to turn the tables around and raised her voice, “You’re just trying to make me feel intimidated. I don’t believe you at all!”
“Be my guest then!” Raymond sneered and continued, “Not only your husband and daughter would be faced with punishment, but you would have nowhere to hide as well. The scandal between you and the two brothers will soon make it into the hot topic. You would definitely be a laughing stock when the time comes.”
“How… How can you be so heartless?” Raelyn could imagine how serious the impact of spreading this scandal was. Her reputation would be ruined and it will definitely be game over for her. She tried to persuade Gavin to side with her as she was not ready to live such a tragic life.
“Dad, Raymond is taking such extreme measure… Is he trying to destroy my family once and for all? You should know that it will affect you too since we are related, right? You will be cursed and frowned upon in the future.”
Gavin had a displeased look on his face upon hearing about it. The burst of Raelyn’s scandal would certainly affect the Saunders family. He glanced at Raymond and said, “Raymond… don’t you think that…”
