When William agreed, Marcus felt relieved. Then, he went out to call Callum.
William sat on the chair and fiddled with his pen, he was feeling a little unhappy. He really didn’t want to deal with the Floyd family anymore. He figured he would show up tonight and if the family behaved like they used to, he would never show them any respect.
After Valeria rested for a while in the lounge, William walked in and said, “Honey, we can go now!”
“So early?” Valeria got up in surprise, her eyes were basically shining when she said, “I want to eat lots of delicious food tonight!”
William rubbed her head with a smile and said, “It’s too early to go to the night market now. Let’s visit my grandparents first, and then we’ll go to the night market!”
When Valeria heard that they were going to visit the Floyd family, she frowned slightly, “Honey, did something happen?”
“Nothing happened. It’s just that my uncle called us and told us to please go. Don’t worry, nothing bad will happen when I am with you.”
With William by her side, Valeria naturally felt at ease. After that, she did not say anything and followed William out of the company to the hotel.
In the hotel room, Fandrey and Callum were both very serious. Deborah and Angel were sitting on the sofa on the other side. Angel cried for a long time. Her eyes were swollen and she was still sobbing. Deborah was looking at Angel worriedly.
She was also distressed when she looked at Angel. But it was truly Angel’s fault. She couldn’t help her even if she wanted to.
After a while, Sammuel gently pushed the door open, “William and Valeria are here!”
The whole family looked at the door simultaneously. Sammuel turned sideways and said, “William, Valeria, this way please!”
William nodded and entered the room with Valeria. When both of them saw the scene in the room, they had the same thought at the same time, “What’s going on this time?”
William tried not to think too much about it and greeted, “Grandpa, grandma, uncle.”
“You guys are here, come, have a seat!” Fandrey forced a smile. He felt very embarrassed, but there was no other way, he had to face them.
William pulled Valeria to sit down with him. Fandrey sighed and spoke, “William, I invited you and Valeria to come over today is that we wanted to apologize to Valeria.”
When William saw Angel’s expression, he already knew what was happening. However, he still couldn’t figure it out. How would Angel admit her mistake if she was such a vicious person?
“What had happened to the Floyd family to make them finally realize Angel wasn’t a good person?”
William thought to himself and smiled faintly, “Grandpa, how come I don’t understand your words?”
Fandrey felt even more ashamed when he heard those words. Since he couldn’t hide it anymore, he might as well tell the truth, “What happened to Valeria before was Angel’s fault, she also admitted that it was her fault. It was us who neglected the seriousness of the problem. I didn’t expect that Angel would lie to us to make the situation become like this now. Your grandma, your uncle, and me, we’re all feeling very guilty. Valeria, we’re very sorry!”
Fandrey looked so guilty when he apologized, Valeria was very shocked when she saw that. Then, she took a glance at William and said, “Grandpa, you, grandma, and uncle weren’t the ones who made the mistake, you don’t need to apologize.”
“It’s our responsibility, however, it’s us who didn’t teach her well,” Callum said, “Valeria, I am sorry, I hope you can forgive me.”
After that, Callum glanced at Angel coldly. Angel was still sobbing when she spoke, “William, Valeria, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it. My feet were numb at that time, that’s why I stretched my foot. I didn’t expect to make you fall. It’s all my fault. I shouldn’t have been afraid of being punished and covered up the truth. I was wrong! Valeria, please forgive me!”
Although Angel was crying very hard, her apology wasn’t that sincere. Until now, she was still looking for excuses to pass the buck. Obviously, she apologized not because she realized her mistake, but because she was forced to.
Valeria sneered in her heart. After glancing at William, she looked at the crying Angel and said, “Angel, you said that your feet were numb so you reached out and you made me fall unintentionally. Since it was unintentional, why did you apologize?”
“I…” Angel definitely did not expect Valeria to say this. The Floyd family believed that her feet were numb at that time, but why did Valeria didn’t believe her? “Why is she being so annoying!” Angel thought to herself angrily.
Angel was crying on the outside but she was actually cursing Valeria on the inside. Deborah cared about Angel a lot, so she couldn’t help but defend Angel, “Angel was indeed wrong. Although she didn’t mean it at first, she hid everything that she did and tried to cover up the whole thing later, which caused such a situation. So, she must apologize for this!”
William, who had been silent the whole while, saw that Deborah was obviously leaning towards Angel. He was furious but he said lightly, “Do you guys have anything else to say? We still have things to do, if there’s nothing else, we’ll have to leave first.”
William reckoned that Angel was the one who made the mistake so she had to apologize no matter what. Yet, to forgive Angel or not depended on him and Valeria. Seeing that William and Valeria did not say anything about forgiving them and instead wanted to leave, Fandrey glared at Angel and said in a very harsh voice, “Is this what you call an apology?!”
Angel really hated Valeria. Even though she said that she would try every means to make Valeria forgive her earlier, she did not mean what she really said.
Angel had thought that Valeria and William would not be too hard on her and maybe they would forgive her for the sake of the Floyd family. She did not expect that both of them would ignore her totally.
Therefore, Angel figured that she would have to play some tricks. She knew that Fandrey and Callum obviously hated her since they looked mad and they didn’t defend her at all. But, she knew that Deborah wasn’t like them; it seemed that she was still standing on her side now.
Also, Angel thought that she was embarrassing enough anyway, so she had nothing to lose anymore.
What she thought and what she said were totally different. Angel spoke after a while, “Valeria, it’s definitely my fault! I know I was wrong, please forgive me! Valeria, please give me a chance, I will correct my mistake!”
Both Valeria and William still remained silent. Then, Angel stood up and dropped to her knees in front of Valeria, “Please forgive me, Valeria!”
No one expected Angel to kneel down. No matter what, Angel was still the elder daughter of the Floyd family, so, she couldn’t kneel down easily since that would be very humiliating.
Both Fandrey and Callum were stunned. Both of them just fixed their gaze on Angel without saying anything.
Valeria did not expect Angel to do this. She and William could choose not to forgive Angel if she was playing self-pity when she apologized just now. However, kneeling down was a different story. Valeria knew very clearly that if she did not forgive Angel after she knelt, the Floyd family would hold grudges against her.
