“Who else could it be apart from Raymond, that b*stard.” Gavin told Arthur everything that happened just now with an upset look on his face.
Arthur sighed but decided to be careful about his words. He said, “President Saunders and Raymond must be very busy. It would be best to think from their shoes for the sake of the company!”
“Arthur, I am still in my sound mind. They are deliberately causing a scene in hopes that I would beg for Valeria’s mercy! Don’t you think that it’s ridiculous for me in apologizing to my granddaughter?” Gavin was feeling upset.
“Well… perhaps you might have taken it the wrong way. They probably don’t mean that.”
“I know what is exactly going on in their heads. How dare they give me such an attitude! I shall see who would give way first,” Gavin did not feel that he was at fault. He could no longer bear with Raymond’s attitude as he was being utterly sarcastic just now. Gavin decided to show no mercy on him. He wanted to test the waters by purposefully being friendly with Raelyn and the others.
Gavin then asked Arthur, “You did go to the hospital just now, didn’t you? Have you received any updates yet?”
“I was wanting to notify you about this matter. It sounded utterly ridiculous! Mr. Saunders, you ought to prepare yourself for the bad news,” Arthur gave him a heads up.
“What is it? I’m dying to know about it right now!”
“Hardy was the one behind this. He secretly met with Natasya in an apartment but was caught by Talitha. Both sisters got into a fight because of him. Talitha had then suffered from a beating by Natasya and the child in her stomach did not make it.
“What? But… how could someone do such a thing? Where the heck is Raelyn right now? Is she planning to turn a blind eye regarding this matter?”
“I don’t think so. She must be feeling troubled as they are both her daughters. She wouldn’t have the heart to send Natasya into jail, would she? I also heard that the child in Talitha’s belly does not belong to Hardy. She got impregnated by an IVF and she had no idea about donor at all…”
“How can there be such a ridiculous thing? Have they gone bonkers? How could I have such a worthless piece of shit as my family member? I blame it all on Devon, that bastard, who lured Raelyn to run away from home. His daughter has inherited from his cunning personality!”
Gavin was so pissed off until he was out of words. He was upset at Archer for ignoring him but felt pity for Raelyn. He was feeling troubled as both his children had been holding a grudge against each other.
He was terribly sad upon thinking about how Raelyn cried her lungs out and begged for mercy.
He began to take pity on Raelyn and blamed it all on money upon her tragedy. Her family was living peacefully when her company was doing well and Devon was still a decent public servant.
Gavin was worried upon hearing Talitha being met with an accident. He quickly instructed Arthur to have a look but did not expect to receive such a devastating piece of news.
Why didn’t anything go his way?
“Mr. Saunders, what do you think?” Arthur knew that Gavin was feeling troubled and intended to lend Raelyn a helping hand. However, he was not in a position to comment on anything further. Gavin had the final say even if he chose to be blindsided as all the wealth belonged to him.
Gavin remained silent but had a bothered look on his face. A car engine emerged outside and the doorbell soon rang. It was Raelyn, “Dad! Dad!”
Arthur glanced at Gavin and did not move an inch to observe his reaction. Gavin was feeling annoyed and asked, “Why are you standing still and looking at me instead? Quickly let her in!”
Arthur followed his instruction and Raelyn surged into the house while sobbing, “Dad, I have lost the will to live! This is the end for me!”
“Raelyn, calm down! Why are you bawling your eyes out?”
“Dad, my heart aches for Talitha! You have no idea how miserable she is right now! She suffered from a miscarriage and is still in a coma… Dad… Is this God’s punishment for my sins? My twin daughters are fighting against each other and it’s all because of Valeria! She…”
“Alright, that’s enough as I’m already aware of Talitha’s matter! However, what does this have to do with Valeria? Your twin daughters were the shameless ones, isn’t it?”
“No! My daughters were being plotted against! Both Valeria and William were the masterminds behind this mess!” Raelyn pretended to be the victim and kept exaggerating Talitha’s sorrowful situation. She continued to throw Valeria under the bus and said, “I am now only aware that Talitha was impregnated through an IVF treatment. Valeria did this just to seek revenge on us! She did not feel an inch of guiltiness upon scheming against Talitha. She was the cause that made my daughters fight against each other in order to win a man’s heart!”
Arthur had enough of her nonsense and snapped back, “Do you have any evidence to prove your accusation towards Valeria and William?”
“How could I sit back and watch my daughters suffer if I have any dirt on them? I would have long tried my best to stop such a tragedy to happen! They have gone too far and would soon get rid of us all!”
Raelyn cried while continuing to play victim, “They were the ones who made my company go bust and caused Devon to be stripped off from his position. They deceived Talita to be a pair with Hardy and had even tricked her to be pregnant. They are at fault for causing my daughters to fall in love with the same man. We are already walking on eggshells but they show no mercy on us. Don’t you think that they have gone too far?”
Arthur’s patience had run out upon hearing about Raelyn’s bullshit. He chimed in…
“Wasn’t it you who made the first move against Valeria and William? The Anderson family were the ones who caused Raymond to suffer from a broken leg and almost got William killed. Natasya tried to flirt with William, who was suffering from amnesia, knowing that he was in a serious relationship. She intended to replace Valeria as his girlfriend. You guys reared blood vermin in hopes to get William under control. Your family was caught in such a mess as the vermin had backfired. This is the consequence you ought to face by doing such despicable matters. Why are you pointing fingers at the innocent ones?”
Gavin agreed despite feeling upset upon hearing about it, “Arthur is right. This is your fault and you need not blame it on others!”
Damn it! Raelyn gnashed her teeth with hatred as Arthur had ruined her plan. She decided to go all-in and wiped away her tears before screaming on top of her lungs,
“Dad, I admit that we were the ones who first made mistakes! However, shouldn’t they be the bigger persons and let bygones be bygones? We are currently hanging by a thread! Why are they still giving us a hard time? Are they planning to get rid of my family forever?”
Gavin remained silent and Raelyn continued to put on a brilliant act, “My company is gone and I have spent all my money away! I have a husband who is being fired, a daughter with a ruined face, and another daughter who is utterly fragile. We have no other ways left and I can’t even pay the hospital bill. Dad, death is my only option now! Hence, I come to pay you the last visit. I would like to bow to you for raising me up. I hope that I would be able to repay your kindness if we are fated to see each other again!”
