Natasya threw the club aside and laid on the ground upon hearing the footsteps emerging from outside.
The security guards were not concerned with Natasya at all. They hurriedly lifted Talitha, who was covered in blood, and headed straight to the elevator.
Bevon, who was in the car, had witnessed how Talitha was violently assaulted through the surveillance camera in the apartment. He felt a chill down his spine and said, “Natasya is indeed a ruthless person! Her viciousness is out of this world! She would not hesitate to strike seeing how she had the guts to get rid of her sister… Wait, what’s going on? Why would these security guards appear out of nowhere?”
“Hmm? What are you talking about?” Hardy swiftly opened his eyes and glanced at the phone screen in Bevan’s hand. A few men in security uniforms lifted Talitha up, who was covered in blood and exited the apartment. Hardy cursed, “D*mn it! What’s with these ridiculous security guards? They are going to ruin our plan!”
Raelyn panicked as she could neither get ahold of Natasya nor Talitha. She waited for a while in Natasya’s ward and could not sit still. She decided to head out and seek for both of her daughters.
An ambulance sound was heard just when Raelyn made her way to the entrance of the hospital. The vehicle parked there and Talitha was gotten out of the ambulance who was covered in blood while screaming in pain.
Raelyn felt familiar upon hearing the scream and took a glance at the patient. Her eyes widened and she immediately rushed over, “Oh My God! Talitha, what happened to you?”
“Get out of the way! The patient needs to undergo surgery right now!”
“She is my daughter! What is going on? What happened to her?” Raelyn bombarded a series of questions.
A man dressed in a security uniform hopped off from the vehicle and replied coldly, “She is suspected to have a miscarriage as she was being assaulted in the apartment!”
“Who could be so heartless to do such a thing towards a pregnant woman?” Raelyn raised her voice and screamed, “D*mn it! Who is it? I will seek revenge for Talitha!”
“We have no idea who had did this to her. The only information that we have is that the owner of the apartment goes by the family name of Anthony. He was heard to be a well-known businessman around the area.”
“Did Hardy do this to Talitha? Was he the one who assaulted her?” Raelyn aggressively asked as she could only think of Hardy who fitted the bill.
The man replied sternly, “She was being attacked by a woman! The suspect had a scar on her face!”
Raelyn was uttterly stunned and questioned, “What? Are you sure?”
“You can always ask the patient personally if you are feeling doubtful about it. Why do you constantly distract me and be so demanding?” The man snapped back at Raelyn and walked away. She dashed to the operating room and Talitha had already been pushed in by the doctor.
Raelyn was not aware of what had exactly happened to Talitha. However, she knew that her daughter was badly injured seeing how she was covered in blood.
It would be impossible for the child in Talitha’s stomach to make it through. How could Natasya be such a vicious person? How could she have the heart to attack her sister without showing any mercy on her?
Raelyn was heartbroken and felt intimidated seeing how both her daughters had turned against each other. She suddenly thought of Devon after wandering outside the operating room for a while. She immediately took out her phone and called, “Honey, Talitha has been met with an accident!”
“I am already well aware of it,” Devon sounded very calm.
“What? Was Natasya the one who had told you about it?”
“Yes, you’re right.”
“How could she be so merciless towards Talitha? How could she have the heart to do such a thing to her sister?” Raelyn kept questioning Devon.
“What should we do now? How can we help Talitha out?”
“How could I possibly come up with something now? It’s all because of you!” Devon was very stern and continued, “Do you know what was Natasya’s rationale behind this incident? She is doing Talitha a favor! Hardy is not the father of the baby in Talitha’s stomach!”
What are you talking about? Who could the father of the child be apart from Hardy? Talitha is an ill-tempered person but does not sleep around with others,” Raelyn was not convinced.
“She did a test-tube baby as a means to control Hardy but he is now aware of it. Do you possibly think that he would let things slide so easily? The baby would eventually not make it till the end, hence Natasya is indirectly helping her sister out.”
His words struck a chill to Raelyn’s heart. What was happening? How could such a tragedy happen to her daughter?
It was evident that the doctor had no choice but to let go of Talitha’s baby while undergoing surgery for her. Talitha was unconscious post-operation and was being arranged to rest at the hospital ward. Raelyn followed behind her closely with a distracted look on her face.
She felt utterly heartbroken upon seeing Talitha whose face was pale and still laid unconscious on the bed.
She had never regretted and felt a sense of remorse despite the things she had done in the past. However, she had a change of mind upon seeing the miserable look on her daughter’s face.
This tragedy would not have happened if she did not sow discord and had learned from her mistakes. Her family would have continued to live a peaceful and contented life.
It was not the end should her company go bust as Gavin and Archer would have her back. Besides, Devon would not end up in such a mess if they did not have ulterior motives in their mind.
There was no point crying over spilled milk. It was too late for Raelyn to feel regretful now.
Marcus had arranged for his men to disguise as security guards. They brought professional cameras with them and took photos of Talitha’s devastating look.
The tragedy was indeed terrifying. Marcus got ahold of the footage and took a glance at it before passing it over to Bobby. “I don’t intend to watch the entire video but you are free to check things out. I’m afraid that I would have nightmares in my sleep upon watching such bloody footage.”
Bobby chuckled and watched the video thoroughly. “The video is being captured perfectly. It is rather gory and relatively vicious. I am sure that this would provoke Declan to make up his mind.”
Marcus nodded and said, “Well, I hope so too. Let’s have it sent over to him and see how it goes.”
Valeria was sitting on the swing at the Howard Family’s old estate. William was gently shoving her from behind.
“Honey, you’re being too gentle as I can’t feel anything at all. Push me harder and don’t worry about it as I would definitely not feel intimidated.”
William smiled helplessly and said, “I would want to satisfy your request but we have to take into account your current situation. You’re currently pregnant and what if we would do harm to the babies due to the vigorous movement?”
“You don’t have to worry about anything as our little ones are brave. Push me a bit harder as I want it to swing higher!”
“Absolutely not!” William did not agree and continued to shove her gently. Valeria was upset and said, “I don’t want to sit on this swing anymore! This is such a soulless activity.”
William grinned and helped her down from the swing. “I’ll bring you to enjoy an interesting game sooner or later, okay?”
“I don’t think it would be anything nice since I am currently pregnant. Let’s scrap off that idea as I rather go for a walk instead!”
William nodded with agreement and said, “Alright then. Let me accompany you to have a stroll in the garden. I’ll pick some flowers for you as decoration at home. What do you think?”
“Okay!” They walked hand in hand and made their way towards the garden. William randomly picked a flower and placed it on Valeria’s hair. “My wife is the most gorgeous woman in the world!”
“I know you’re just buttering me up but I am loving it!” Valeria also plucked a flower and pinned it on his head. “Honey, you would be a stunning woman if you were one, wouldn’t you?”
“What are you talking about? I would always be mesmerizing regardless of my gender. Didn’t you got attracted to me and cried your lungs out as you desperately wanted to marry me?”
“Pfft! How could one boast about himself to such an extent?” Valeria reached out as she wanted to pinch him. William dodged and chuckled while she continued to get ahold of him. The couple laughed and joked with each other. Abbie suddenly called and spoke in an upset tone, “Valeria, I’m pissed off!”
