Chapter 851 Sincerity

Book:That Stranger Lying Beside Me Published:2024-6-1

Veronica thought for a moment and said, “Since they are all suspicious of you and you have indeed done it, then you should admit your mistakes. You need to apologize to your grandparents and ask Valeria to forgive you.”
“What? How can this work? I still haven’t admitted that I framed Valeria. If I change my stance now, what will they think of me? I won’t be able to regain my footing after this! This won’t work. Mom, think of a new idea!” Angel disagreed.
Veronica pondered for a while and sent a message. “I have another idea, but it’s a little risky and it’ll harm you greatly. It depends on whether you are willing to let yourself suffer.”
“I can do anything apart from apologzing,” Angel replied.
“Well, since Valeria has no evidence to prove that you’ve hurt her and you have never admitted it, you should be feeling very wronged now because you were bullied by them as well. You feel that you have nothing to live for because no one stood up for you, so you can only prove your innocence by death.”
“What? You want me to fake my suicide?”
“Yes! In order to save your image, you should pretend to commit suicide and die with clear will! You must force them to believe that you are innocent!”
“Is this okay?” Angel was a little scared.
“That depends on your determination. With your father and your grandfather’s understanding, they completely believe in your cousin’s words. They will never believe that you are innocent if you don’t do that.”
“Then how am I supposed to commit suicide?” Angel asked.
“Cut your wrist? Or take as much medicineas you can! However, that would require you to buy some pills. I don’t think it’s a good time for you to go out, so I think you should cut your wrists directly.”
Angel thought about it and agreed. She was now lying in bed motionlessly. It seemed that it was not right for her to suddenly buy medicine, and it was uncertain whether she could buy it or not.
Cutting her wrists was the most convenient, but it would hurt a lot. Anyway, she would try out Veronica’s instructions.
Meanwhile, in the Howard family’s old estate. Valeria, Braelynn, and Abbie put in a lot of effort to prepare a fragrant hot pot feast.
Without anyone else around, the three of them ate and chatted happily.
The three of them were foodies. The hot pot was spicy and tasty. They ate to their heart’s content while a maid made some tea to feed them as well. After that, Braelynn and Abbie dragged Valeria to the garden to rest.
The three of them strolled around the garden while Hayden returned with three limited-edition handbags.
Valeria, Braelynn, Abbie, and the others were given a share of the bag. Just then, Abbie immediately began to open the handbag when she saw it and she did not forget to flatter Hayden.
“You’re amazing! How did you order this bag? Last time I went to the counter, the salesperson told me that it would take a month to arrive.”
Hayden kept her in suspense. “I have my own ways, so I won’t tell you.”
“What? Tell me so I can use it in the future as well.” Abbie said.
“Would I tell you just because you asked? I am so thirsty…”
“Okay, I will make tea for you! I haven’t even made tea for my parents before.” Abbie went to make tea.
“She’s so likable!” Hayden laughed heartily as he looked at Braelynn. Braelynn was a little closed off, so he smiled as he gestured at her, “Sit down, don’t be nervous. From now on, treat this place as your own and you can come over to play with Valeria whenever you have time!”
“Okay!” Braelynn nodded.
“You did a good job today, and I was thinking about how I should seek revenge for Valeria. I didn’t expect you to take the initiative to help me. If you want a reward, you can ask for anything.”
“No, this bag is already very expensive! I don’t even use such an expensive bag usually,” Braelynn replied.
“You’re a really sincere girl. Aren’t you running a company? Why don’t you need it? Girls like beautiful jewelry and bags, don’t they?”
“I don’t like these things,” Braelynn answered sincerely.
“What? Then I’ll ask Valeria to raise your salary by ten percent. I’ll pay for it.”
“No, my salary is already very high!” Braelynn waved her hand.
“I’m a very stingy person and such generosityfrom me is rare. You won’t have a chance again if you refuse,” Hayden said with a smile.
Braelynn was about to speak when Abbie’s scream came from the kitchen, followed by the sound of a cup falling to the ground.
Raelyn and the maid immediately ran over. Abbie raised her hands as the floor was covered with water and the cups were rolled to the side.
Abbie had been burned by the hot water. so the maid quickly rushed over and turned on the tap to cool her hand down. Abbie frowned and said, “Ah, it’s so hot! I’m so sorry my hand slipped!”
Valeria and Hayden also came over. When they saw that Abbie’s hands were burning red, Valeria was very worried. “Take her to the hospital right now!”
“There’s no need, right?” Abbie was a little embarrassed. “This is just a tiny mistake. Don’t make a fuss.”
Hayden and Valeria had the same intention. “Send a doctor over. There isn’t a professional doctor at home, so let’s go to the hospital to see if there would be any wounds on her skin.”
Abbie was sent to the hospital to treat her burns. Hayden, Valeria, and Braelynn sent her to the hospital together.
The vehicle stopped at the hospital gate and an ambulance whistled before it stopped beside them. Then, many doctors and nurses rushed out of the hospital straight to the ambulance.
Soon, a person covered in blood was rushed to the emergency room from the ambulance.
A car followed from behind and Valeria exclaimed, “Isn’t this my husband’s car? Dear!”
Everyone looked and saw that the car was indeed William’s car and he was inside it as well.
When he saw Valeria William striding over, he asked, “Dear, why are you here?”
“Abbie is burnt, so we took her to the hospital. Dear, what are you doing here?”
“Angel tried to commit suicide!” William replied.
Everyone heard William’s words clearly and they were all shocked.
“How could she commit suicide?” Valeria was extremely shocked.
“I don’t know. I’ll accompany grandpa to take a look first. My uncle and grandma are right behind them. Grandma is very emotional right now, so you’d better stay away from her and don’t confront her head-on,” William said as he hurried into the hospital with Fandrey.
Everyone was shocked by Angel’s suicide. Hayden, Abbie, and Braelynn also got down from their car. They all felt very strange as Angel didn’t look like someone who would commit suicide.
It was late at night and there were not many people in the hospital. Valeria and the others were about to deal with Abbie’s wound after entering the burn centre. When they walked to the hall, there were hurried footsteps behind them accompanied by Callum’s voice, “Mom, slow down! William has already arranged everything, so you don’t have to worry!”
