Fandrey and Deborah returned to their room with sour expressions on their faces.
“Fortunately, that waiter was well-trained, otherwise, it would’ve ended so badly today.” Deborah clutched her hands to her chest in relief. It would’ve been bad if the hot soup spilled on either Valeria or Azalea since they both had gorgeous faces.
“What happened back then? Why did that happen?” Fandrey asked with a frown.
“I don’t know. I was listening to Thomas so I wasn’t paying attention to my surroundings.” Deborah looked at Angel, “Do you know what happened, Angel?”
“Valeria fell onto the waiter for some reason.” Angel answered.
“Why did that happen? The room is flat, so there should be nothing to trip her. This doesn’t make sense at all?” Deborah questioned.
“Who knows? Azalea was lucky. Otherwise, her face would’ve been burned by the boiling soup.” Angel paused for a moment, “Grandpa and grandma, did you find that Valeria and Azalea looked strange tonight?”
“What do you mean?” Fandrey asked.
“Valeria looked at Azalea with hostility, while Azalea didn’t dare to look at Valeria and kept her head down the whole time as if she was afraid of her.”
Deborah nodded, “Yes, I did notice that! When Valeria wasn’t here, Azalea was talking, laughing, and looked very lively. However, once Valeria appeared, she seemed to have changed into another person. She avoided eye contact and didn’t dare to look at Valeria. She was so quiet and even looked a little timid.”
“Maybe they had a conflict with each other?” Angel immediately chimed in, “Grandma, if Valeria and Azalea used to be in conflict, then the accident tonight could’ve been done on purpose, right?”
“On purpose? What do you mean by that?” Fandrey asked unhappily.
Angel immediately said what she wanted to say, “I was thinking that if Valeria and Azalea were in conflict, then Valeria might have wanted to spill the soup on Azalea on purpose. Otherwise, there would be no explanation to what had happened tonight!”
“Nonsense! I hope you don’t bring this up again! Stop making such wild guesses if you don’t have evidence, do you know how much impact this will have on others? This can cause death!” Fandrey berated.
“It’s fine, Angel is just talking to us about it. Why are you getting angry?” Deborah tried to smooth things over.
“This is not a small matter, and it’s rude to make such wild guesses! As the young lady of the Floyd family, you represent us! Why would you speak nonsense without evidence? How will people think of us if they found out about this?”
Fandrey’s face darkened, “Azalea also brought today’s tragedy on herself. If she hadn’t stood up herself and bumped into the waiter, she wouldn’t be in any trouble today.”
Angel had originally wanted to sow discord between Fandrey and Deborah’s suspicions of Valeria, but she didn’t expect Fandrey to not follow her thought process at all. Instead of slandering Valeria, she was scolded, so she did not feel good about it.
She went back to her room angrily and sent a message to Natasya, “Valeria is fine, but Azalea has burns on her body. I wanted to push the blame to Valeria, but my grandfather scolded me for talking nonsense. I can’t take it anymore. You have to find a way to help me take care of this!”
“It’s very simple. I can help you push the blame to Valeria, but I need a little money. You know my situation now, and I don’t have much money, so what do you think?”
“How much do you want? What do you plan to do? Don’t hesitate and tell me everything.”
“This is what I’m thinking. Since Azalea and Valeria used to be in conflict, we can pay someone to write about it on the forum and imply that Valeria tried to ruin Azalea’s looks. Then, you can ask Azalea to play along with your plan and get her to talk about it in front of your grandparents. This way, Valeria will get all the blame.”
Seeing Natasya’s reply, Angel thought for a moment and felt that this method was feasible, “Fine, we’ll do as you said, and I’ll pay for it! You can start the plan now!”
Angel immediately transferred some money to Natasya and asked her to find someone to write the article. After the latter received the money, she immediately went to prepare for it.
On the other hand, Azalea was treated by a doctor in the emergency ward. The doctor cut her clothes with scissors and found that a large bubble had formed on her body. In order to treat her injuries, the doctor wiped the burnt area with an ointment and gave her an IV drip to prevent infections.
Azalea was sent to the hospital in tears, while the manager of Wolf Group followed her to ask about the condition of her wound. The doctor said that he needed to observe her for a little longer, and he didn’t rule out the possibility that there would be a scar. Fortunately, it was not on her face. As long as it did not get infected, nothing would happen.
Thomas also told Emily about Azalea’s injury. When Emily heard that Azalea was burned, she was shocked and immediately asked more about it.
Thomas told her everything and said that it was just an accident. If Azalea did not move, nothing would have happened at all. Emily sighed, “It’s my fault. I should have let her leave instead of staying for dinner.”
“Auntie, don’t blame yourself. No one expected such a thing, and she will recover.”
After hanging up the phone, Thomas went to Azalea’s ward and asked her a few questions. Azalea did not dare to talk nonsense with tears in her eyes, so she just sobbed. Later, William and Valeria came over.
Although William hated Azalea, she was hurt this time, so he asked her about her condition and asked her to take care of herself. He also promised her that he would pay for the medical fees and told her that he would try his best to satisfy any other requirements she had.
Azalea’s wound was burning with pain, and she was also scared out of her wits. When William was talking to her, she did not say anything but sobbed. However, deep inside, she was making a fuss.
Although she had suffered a lot from this injury, it happened at the Wolf Group, so she would receive a hefty amount of compensation, right?
She had to find a chance to discuss the compensation with Prisca, and she continued to weep without saying a word.
William naturally did not have the patience to talk to her, so he ordered the manager to arrange for someone to take care of her and left with Valeria.
Thomas and Callum also left, leaving Azalea and the people from the Wolf Group to take care of her in the ward.
Azalea’s bag was also sent over. After William and the others left, she stopped pretending and took out her mobile phone to send Prisca a message.
Unexpectedly, she saw the message sent by Natasya, “I heard that you were burned? Is it serious?”
