Natasya had been carefully observing his expression. She realized that he was taken aback upon seeing her and his tone was much gentler than before.
His body movements were also different this time. William used to distance himself and treated her coldly. However, it was clear that he had taken interest in her as he took the initiative and paced towards her first.
She was delighted about it and replied coyly, “I have been waiting for you!”
“I apologize for keeping you waiting. Is it okay if we head in and have a chat?” William made the first move and invited her. Natasya was feeling over the moon and replied, “That sounds good. William, I have a gift for you.”
She took the paper cranes with her when she got out of the car. It was a present that she had prepared for William.
Bobby, who stood next to William, was one step ahead of him and paced forward. He grabbed the gift from Natasya and threw it aside.
Natasya was taken aback by the sudden move of Bobby. She felt heartbroken as the effort that she had spent throughout the night was thrown away by a reckless bodyguard.
Natasya hurriedly picked up the paper cranes to avoid the gift from being ruined. However, a car unexpectedly drove over her gift package and caused a dent.
She was astonished as her efforts had all gone down the drain. She felt sulky and let out a cry, “No!”
William’s gaze had flashed a hint of mockery towards her but he scolded Bobby instead with a stern voice, “What on earth are you doing?”
Bobby replied blankly, “Mr. William, she is a despicable and ill-mannered woman. We can’t accept her gift as it must have been contaminated with her ulterior motives towards you.”
Natasya was feeling irritated and agitated upon hearing about it. Her eyes watered as she tried to defend herself, “Stop spewing nonsense! I genuinely wanted to give him a birthday present. William, I will never do harm to you!”
“I believe in you! He is at fault and needs to work on his attitude!” William was secretly enjoying the show and decided to continue his act. He then glared at Bobby with a stern look on his face and said, “How could you be so rude to a beautiful lady like her? You need to apologize to her right now!”
“Sir William, your father wants you back home immediately as the guests are currently waiting for your arrival. Let’s go!” Bobby ignored him and tried to persuade him.
“No. I would like to have a word with her.” William gestured to Natasya and suggested, “We shall have a chat at Wolf Group’s cafe. Let’s go!”
Bobby persisted and halted him, “No! You have more important things to do. Let’s head back home now as it is getting late!”
“Did you not hear what I just say? I would like to spend some time with her and let’s head back home a bit later.” William pretended to put on an eager look to have a chat with Natasya.
“No, this can’t do! Sir Hayden had given me instruction that you are prohibited to have any contact with her. She is as shameless as her mother and has always wanted to do harm to you. You must be protected to be safe from her at all cost!” Bobby halted him and continued, “Sir William, let’s go! She is not worth the effort! Stop wasting your time to hang out with her!”
William continued his act and put on a displeased look on his face, “What if I insist to meet with her?”
Bobby followed his act and replied sternly, “You have given me no choice but to do things the hard way! Guys, William is not listening to us and we shall take him away immediately!”
“You bastard! You guys have crossed the line!” William cursed while being forced into the car by Bobby and his bodyguards. Natasya wanted to follow him but was violently pushed to the ground by one of his men and cried in pain.
The car instantly hurled away and no one bothered to check up on her.
William burst into laughter as soon as her figure had disappeared from the rearview mirror, “Well done, boys!”
He knew what she had planned upon hearing that Natasya had been waiting for him at the entrance of Wolf Group since dawn. He decided to put on an act in hopes to convince her that he was being controlled by the blood vermin.
Natasya was a thick-skinned woman and dared to give him paper cranes as his birthday present. He felt disgusted upon thinking about it.
Bobby knew William too well that he would not be pleased to receive such a despicable gift from her. Natasya had a worried expression on her face when Bobby snatched the gift from her and threw it away. William was feeling delighted as he thought about it.
Bobby commented with a disgusted look on his face, “She does not stand a chance at all, be it from looks or family background. The only thing that stands out is her pathetic and wicked personality. It’s a shame that she is not aware of it and is so full of herself.”
“Yes, I agree. Has she gone mad? How dare she seduce me when she does not even have the right to become a servant for my wife? Does she think that I am blind? Pfft. I would not have fallen for her judging by her disgusting behavior if that was really the case,” William replied harshly.
Bobby grinned and said, “Sir William, you came over to see her just to pave things for a better show tonight, am I right?”
“Yes, you’re absolutely spot on. I did it for the sake of Valeria. How pity of me to deal with such a disgusting piece of shit just to coax my wife. I deserved to be handsomely rewarded!”
Bobby and the bodyguards burst out of laughter at William’s words.
Natasya got up from the ground and realized William’s car was already long gone.
She hobbled back to her car and was feeling extremely displeased.
Her wish would have come true to give the birthday present to William if it wasn’t for those damned bodyguards.
He would have treated and interacted with her in a kind and gentle way. She had never held his hand before and thought that she was able to do it today. However, she was once again met with disappointment.
It was all the fault of those bastards! Natasya thought to herself. She was convinced that William wanted to spend more time with her. He tried to open the window in hopes to have a chat with her when he was violently forced into the car by the bodyguards. However, he couldn’t do so as he was swiftly halted by the bodyguards.
Natasya was heartbroken upon seeing the paper cranes that she had put much effort in. She cursed angrily, “Damn it, I won’t forget the faces of those bastards! You guys shall be met with hell real soon!”
She had confirmed that William was interested in her after this incident. She felt slightly relieved and decided to head to the Howard Family to cause a scene tonight.
Natasya then swiftly went back to the Saunders Enterprise’s hotel to get things ready.
She eventually made her way to her suite’s living room and realized Talitha was dressed elegantly as she came out of her room.
Talitha raised her eyebrows and questioned Natasya upon seeing her, “Have you met with William? How was his attitude towards you?”
Natasya was displeased upon seeing the sight of her sister. She felt that Talitha was trying to show off and replied vaguely, “It was better than before.”
“Really? Why did you come back then? It is his birthday today, right? Didn’t he invite you to the party tonight?” Talitha questioned her further as she knew that things did not go smoothly based on Natasya’s uncertain response.
“I’ll show up at the party tonight,” Natasya replied while containing her temper.
“Oh, I see. Keep me posted but I have to go now. Hardy has invited me to have dinner together! You have no idea how gentle his tone was towards me when he called me just now. He would pick me up at the entrance of the hotel.”
Talitha left with a confident look on her face. Natasya murmured to herself upon seeing Talitha being so full of herself, “Pfft!”
