William’s eyes instantly turned cold after hearing Angel call Valeria a whore on the phone, “Shut up! Angel, I’m warning you to show some respect to Valeria. If not, don’t blame me for what I might do!”
Angel became even angrier after he chose to defend Valeria, so she could not help but make a scene, “What can you do? Beat me? I dare you!”
There was no way to communicate with an unreasonable person, so he hung up swiftly.
Valeria clearly heard everything Angel had said on the phone. She immediately understood why William didn’t want to answer her calls because she wouldn’t want to talk to such an unreasonable person either. She shook her head and said, “What happened to your cousin?”
“Who knows? She was acting up today!” His face darkened, and he felt extremely uncomfortable when he thought of how Angel had scolded Valeria on the phone. She was merely his younger cousin, not his biological sister.
Even if she was his own sister, how dare she scolded his sweetheart?
“Honey, what’s the matter? I heard her call me a whore, but I don’t know her at all and have no conflict with her.”
“She’s mentally ill!”
“No, maybe someone’s trying to stir things up between us? Otherwise, she would have no reason to view me in that light!” Valeria tried to make it make sense.
William laughed coldly, “This is just how she is. Didn’t I tell you about her vicious deeds in the past? Natasya had tried so hard to please her but ended up being plotted against, and it’s obvious that Angel’s naturally evil. Maybe it has something to do with how she was raised… ”
“How she was raised? Is your aunt raised her?”
“More or less! Since she is not my aunt’s biological child, she was probably treated differently, right?” William sneered when he recalled that Veronica was a spy.
If Angel was not born evil, then she would have been spoiled by Veronica. Although Angel was insignificant in the Floyd family, William had to remind his grandparents to keep an eye on her, just in case.
He reached out to hold Valeria’s hand and said, “Let’s go for lunch together, my dear.”
Angel, who was hung up and scolded by William, was extremely angry. Natasya was telling the truth after all! Valeria was too vicious.
William liked her so much before, but now he ignored her calls because of Valeria and even scolded her! This was too distasteful.
Anyone who dared to go against her would not end up well, and she would spare no effort to chase Valeria away from William.
As she began to think about it, she realized that Valeria was not easy to deal with. First of all, there was no need for Valeria to please her. As she lived in the country, she had no dealings with Valeria and it was impossible to make her suffer as she did with Natasya.
Furthermore, William doted on her so much, so he definitely wouldn’t give her a chance.
Therefore, there was only one way for now. She had to use every possible method possible to trash talk Valeria in front of Fandrey and Deborah so that they could pressure William into breaking up with her.
What she was going to do now was ruin Valeria’s reputation. Since she didn’t know Valeria personally, she could only ask Natasya for help.
She actually hated Natasya very much before, but the enemy of the enemy was a friend.
Angel called her without beating around the bush and said, “I know you hate Valeria, and I hate her too now, so I must get her to break up with William. Tell me everything you know about her, and I’ll deal with her.”
Natasya did not expect this to happen so soon, so she agreed immediately, “Wait for me, I will be ready right away.”
Natasya collected all the negative news about Valeria and sent it to Angel, then the two of them stayed up the whole night.
It was late at night for Natasya, while it was early in the morning for Angel.
Angel carefully read everything Natasya had sent her and kept them in mind, then she opened her door with a yawn.
Downstairs, Deborah was returning back to the house after sending Fandrey out. She jumped in fright when she saw the dark circles under Angel’s eyes, “What’s wrong with you?”
“Grandma, I didn’t sleep at all last night. I was busy reading up on Valeria’s scandals. Do you know how vicious she is?”
Angel exaggerated Valeria and Mason’s scandal and even said that Valeria fought with Ashley to be with him. She continued saying that Valeria immediately ditched Mason when she realized William’s true identity and plotted against Ashely, which resulted in her death.
Deborah frowned after hearing the story, “Where did you hear this from? Who told you all this? Let me tell you, the person who told you this is a bad person!”
Deborah didn’t believe her, so Angel had to use her trump card. “Grandma, not only does Valeria have a bad reputation, she is also our enemy.”
“Enemy? What do you mean by that?”
“Her mother, Natalie, murdered my aunt!” Angel told her what Natasya had told her, and Deborah had a terrible expression on her face.
“I see. I’ll look into this.”
“Grandmother, she must have ulterior motives to deceive William. You have to call him immediately and ask him to keep his guard up around her. It’s best if he stays away from her.”
“Alright, I know what to do.” Deborah was not a stupid woman, so she would not blindly believe a rumor if there was no evidence.
“I will send someone to investigate this. We’ll see what to do after we get to the bottom of this.”
Valeria did not know that Deborah was investigating her. After Natasya was dealt with, she was relieved and got up early in the morning to prepare for William’s birthday party.
Although there were designated companies to organize the party on the day of the birthday, Valeria insisted on personally verifying each detail.
Seeing that she was so serious, William shook his head and said, “It’s just a birthday. Is this necessary?”
“Of course it is! I want to let you experience a unique birthday.”
“Hmm, then we should celebrate it with just us two! Isn’t it better that way. You have to deal with so many guests if you planned something this big… Aren’t you tired?” William had a simple mind.
She looked up at him with a serious face and said, “William, this is your first birthday I’m celebrating with you with our child! It’s such an important day! Or do you still want to live your single life even after you have a wife and children?”
She did not use nicknames on him whenever she was mad, so William was stunned to see how serious she was and found her anger rather baffling.
“I didn’t say anything much. Why are you so angry?”
Seeing him looking at her in a daze, she was even angrier, so she pushed him out and closed the door.
He knocked on the door a few times, “Wife, let’s talk it over. What’s the point of chasing me out?”
She ignored him and sulked by the bed.
The problem was not his birthday!
She had her own plans, and she wanted to celebrate William’s birthday with him. She wanted to use this as an opportunity to show everyone that he was her man so that nobody else would dare to ruin their relationship.
Men were fools. Even though William regarded himself as extremely intelligent, he was still a fool in this aspect by not understanding her intentions. This was too infuriating!
