In the study room at the presidential suite in the Wolf Group, Marcus came in with some documents after Richard left.
As soon as he entered the door, he told William, “Sir William, you’re trending on the internet!”
“Is that so?” He frowned, “Who did it?”
“Madam Valeria, I think.” Marcus answered with uncertainly.
“What is she trying to do this time?” After hearing that Valeria was behind it, he relaxed.
“All the shopping malls and hotels under the Saunders Enterprises will publish your birthday wishes in advance.” Marcus said as he sat down with a smile, “Not only the companies under the Saunders family, but also the billboards in various business centers will publish it.”
“Why so grand?” William’s face lit up with joy.
“I know, right! In addition to the Saunders enterprises’ properties, it must also cost a lot for the other places.”
“Look at you. What’s the point of worrying about such a small sum of money? This small amount won’t affect them at all.” William laughed.
Marcus rubbed his head and said, “What is Valeria trying to do? Does she want to announce to the whole world that you’re her man?”
“Probably!” William shook his head with a smile, “I think this whole set up is just a gimmick. She’s probably doing this to target Natasya.”
“How do you know?”
“I just guessed it. Natasya messed with Abbie yesterday, so Valeria probably wants to regain her dignity by dealing with Natasya. Previously, she had a strong urge to get physical with her, but I kept holding her back. However, I don’t think I can stop her anymore.” He shook his head and continued, “She’s too violent! I’m really worried that the twins in her stomach will also have a violent tendency.”
Marcus laughed foolishly as William picked up the document and signed it. Then, he asked Marcus, “Is there any news about Emily?”
“Yes, I was about to bring it up to you. The person who’s investigating her said that she was pregnant once.”
“Oh? When was that?” William put down his pen in shock.
“It was when she came back from abroad. She used to be very capable and went on a business trip overseas. However, she had a pre-marital pregnancy, so she lost her job and got into a bad state.”
“How about the baby? Did she manage to give birth to it?”
“I think so.” Marcus continued, “I heard that her stomach was very big at the time, and it looked like she was going to give birth any time soon. A month later, her belly disappeared, but her child was no where to be found, and she looked like a totally different person. She looked very gaunt.”
William murmured, “So she gave birth… Whose child is it?”
Marcus replied honestly, “I don’t know!”
Hearing his words, William came to his senses and said, “I was talking to myself.”
William naturally linked her pregnancy to Callum. She got pregnant after returning to her home country, and Hayden had told him that she used to be in a relationship with Callum, so the child might be his.
Then he thought about his cousin, Angel, who was brought into the family from outside, and her biological mother was unknown. Was Angel Emily’s daughter?
Angel was 26 years old this year, so William immediately asked Marcus, “When did Emily give birth?”
Marcus told him the date, and it matched with Angel’s age. His heart sank. She was Emily’s daughter?
He thought about Angel’s appearance in his mind, but she looked like neither Emily nor Callum. Generally speaking, children should look somewhat similar to their biological parents, right?
If Angel did not look like Callum, then she should at least look like Emily. However, they had no similarities in their features, so who was the child that Emily gave birth to?
William looked at Marcus and said, “Focus on investigating the male friends around Emily.”
In Bricksburg, Meadow was lying on the bed for an infusion. There was only one servant in the ward, so she asked impatiently as she lay on the bed, “Have you notified the chairman yet?”
“Yes, he is in a meeting right now, but he will come over as soon as it is over!”
“Hmph!” She snorted and ordered her servant, “Pour me a glass of water! You know what to say when he comes over later, right?”
“Don’t worry, madam. I know what to say.” As the servant finished speaking, the door of the ward was pushed open, and Azalea walked in with a bunch of flowers in her arms. When she saw Meadow, she put on a look of concern and asked, “Auntie, are you feeling better?”
“Better?” Meadow frowned. “I’ve been enraged by Valeria, and my chest is still sore.”
“Valeria went too far this time. She’s been acting wildly because Archer is her father. Last time, she asked someone to stop my notice, as if she’s the only one who gets to make the decisions!” Azalea was furious, “It’s fine if she just bullied me for having no power or status, but she arrogantly talked back to you! She is so ill-mannered. Aunty, you can’t let this go. You must teach her a lesson!”
“I know how arrogant she can be! Today, I will teach her a lesson and let her know that she can’t mess with anyone she wants!” Meadow sneered. When she thought of Valeria scolding her as a mistress, she became even angrier. This time, she couldn’t suppress her anger anymore, so she decided to teach her a lesson.
“Yes, Valeria has become too unruly, so you must let her know the power you hold. By the way, what are you going to do with her? Are you going to call the Saunders family to complain about her?” Azalea asked tentatively.
“I won’t call them to complain. I want them to force Valeria to call me to apologize,” She replied.
“You want Valeria to apologize to you? That’s impossible! They dote on her very much, and she is the apple of their eyes! I think her arrogance and rudeness were a result of them spoiling her!” Azalea said deliberately to find out more about Meadow’s plan.
As expected, Meadow sneered after hearing what she said, “Let’s wait and see. The Saunders family has a huge cooperation with our family in Bricksburg, and it’s not a small amount of money, so we’ll see if Archer prioritizes his business or his daughter!”
Azalea was extremely happy when she heard what Meadow said.
