Valeria and Abbie were drinking juice and enjoying their afternoon tea in the spacious private room of the hotel. They were watching the video of Natasya, Talitha, and Raelyn being targeted and chuckled at it.
Abbie burst into laughter and was gasping for air when she saw how Natasya fell onto the ground and rushed to the elevator as her life depended on it. “Hahaha! This is such a pleasure to watch!”
“Yes, I didn’t expect it to be so satisfying!” Valeria pressed against her stomach and giggled.
“Are you happy? You feel at ease now, right?” Abbie asked.
Valeria nodded and said, “I feel much better indeed!”
“You are such a fool as you should have told me earlier about this. I would be able to come up with ideas to mess with her,” Abbie was feeling confident.
“I’m telling you, I’m good at this game especially when it comes to dealing with shameless b*tches and I always strike precisely.”
Valeria chuckled and asked, “Why don’t you do the same to Azalea?”
“It’s a different situation, okay? She’s a great actress and is my parents’ cup of tea. They favor her more than me as I am too dauntless. I can’t lay a finger on her as she would make a fuss about it to my parents. However, your husband would not give you an earful if you mess with Natasya, right? Your grandfather and your parents would not scold you either, right?”
Valeria was a bit worried when mentioning her husband, “Abbie, my husband had told me to remain patient for a few days. Would my impromptu decision mess up his plan? Would I be in trouble if it really happens?”
“Do you think so? Your father-in-law would have your back as you have two babies in your tummy, right?” Abbie was not concerned about it at all.
“I’m worried that he’ll eventually give me an earful.”
“Look at you being a coward. Are you scared to go back home? I’ll accompany you and tell William that it was me who did it as Natasya is an eye-sore to look at. You would then be safe and sound, okay?”
Valeria’s phone suddenly rang right after Abbie finished her sentence. Valeria looked at it and said, “It’s my husband.”
“Are you afraid of accepting the call?” Abbie asked.
“No, I’m not. Why should I be scared?” Valeria answered the call and said, “Honey!”
“Why aren’t you back yet? It’s getting late and don’t you know that someone is missing you dearly?”
“I’m currently at the Saunders Enterprise’s hotel and I’ll be right back. Would you want something to eat when I make my way home?”
“Nope, I’ll be happy as long as you return safely.”
“Are you sure? I’m telling you, the food here is relatively good.”
“Yes, I’m sure. Sweetheart, did you get yourself in trouble considering that you have been very attentive to me?” William asked in a serious tone.
“No, what kind of trouble could I do? Do I look like someone who does bad things judging by my fragile state?” Valeria retorted.
“Well, I’m feeling glad and do come back soon! You have been gone for a few hours and I am missing you dearly.”
Valeria chuckled delightfully and hung up the phone. She stood up and told Abbie, “Let’s head back home as my husband is missing me already.”
Abbie curled her lips and said, “Pfft! Are you proud of yourself? Who was the one feeling worried just now?”
“Are you sure? Who could it be? Why do I have no idea about it?”
Abbie was so frustrated that she wanted to pinch her. Valeria waved her hand and said, “I am a pregnant woman. You won’t cruelly lay a finger on me, will you?”
They made their way to the parking lot while joking around with each other. Bobby was seen marching towards them as soon as they walked out of the elevator. He respectfully greeted Valeria, “Ms. Valeria, Mr. William had informed me to give you a ride home.”
Valeria gladly accepted his arrangement and followed Bobby after bidding goodbye to Abbie.
She then realized William was sitting in the back row of the car as soon as she got into the vehicle. She was taken aback and asked, “Why are you here?”
“Are you unhappy to see me?” William asked with a grin on his face.
“No! Of course not! I’m glad to see you,” Valeria pretended to stay calm while taking a peek at William.
He then pulled her into his arms and lowered his head to kiss her lips. He felt that her lips were as sweet as honey and he asked, “What did you have? Why are your lips like candy?”
“I had fruit juice!” Valeria replied vaguely and continued to kiss William a few times.
He grinned and held her on his lap. He gently caressed her belly with his hand and asked in a gentle tone, “Why are you being so obedient today?”
Valeria was feeling anxious as she had got herself into trouble and said, “I’m always well-behaved, okay?”
William chuckled and said, “You would only take the lead when you have messed things up while remaining as cold as ice when you are behaving normally. So tell me, what trouble have you got yourself into?”
“Nothing. I was just busy collecting some rental fee and settled things regarding an ill-mannered and despicable female tenant.”
William burst into laughter and asked, “Since when did you become a landlady? Why was I not aware of this at all?”
“There are many things that you have no idea about me. I’m telling you, do you know that this hotel is now my dowry?”
“Whatever that is yours would be shared with me. Does it mean that I would also be the legal owner of this hotel in the future?”
“How thick-skinned of you! Why would you need something that is of little value?” Valeria rolled her eyes at him.
“Alright then, let’s talk about the hotel later in the future. I would like to know more about you teaching the female tenant a lesson.”
“I don’t want to talk about it as I’m not in the mood.”
“Didn’t you pressed against your belly and burst into laughter? Why would you say that you are feeling blue when I’m curious about it?”
How did William know that she and Abbie exploded into laughter in the private room? Valeria was surprised and asked, “Were you following me all along?”
“Don’t put it in such an unpleasant way. I’m protecting you instead of tailing you!”
“Pfft!” William would have known about Natasya as his men had been following Valeria and Abbie throughout the entire time. She then came clean to him and admitted, “I’ve taught Natasya a lesson. You are not planning to give me an earful, right?”
“Nope. Honey, I hope that you could be bold as my wife and there is nothing that you can’t do. You are free to do anything that you wish and I would always be ready to clean up with your mess!” Valeria chuckled joyfully as she was initially afraid that William would be upset about it.
“Honey, would you want to have a look at Natasya being a mess?”
“Yes please!”
“It is satisfying to watch,” Valeria turned on her mobile phone and showed him the footage of Natasya being taught a lesson. He giggled blissfully and Bobby, who was taking the wheel also let out a grin as he was influenced by the couple.
William stopped laughing after a while and said, “Honey, dad had invited us to have dinner at home.”
“Something must be up judging by his impromptu decision, right? Honey, have you got any idea about it?” Valeria asked.
“Nope, but you don’t have to worry about anything as I’m always here to have your back,” William comforted her to avoid Valeria from feeling pressured.
The car finally came to a halt at the entrance of the Howard family’s mansion. Hayden and Lucas came to welcome them as soon as they heard the engine sound. Bobby opened the trunk and took out a gift while William grinned and said, “Dad, your daughter-in-law has bought some supplements for you.”
“Valeria, you’re so considerate! You’re much better than Wiliam as he would always come here empty-handed but I’m now receiving gifts instead,” Hayden was feeling delightful and reached out to accept the gifts.
Valeria was a little embarrassed as she had forgotten to prepare something for Hayden. However, she was relieved that William had settled things accordingly to avoid a potentially awkward situation from happening.
She glanced at William and he squinted his eyes back at her. He then reached out to hold her hand and the couple followed Hayden into the mansion with a cheerful atmosphere brewing in the air.
