Talitha immediately called Raymond after hanging up Hardy’s call, “Raymond, he promised to meet me! Oh my god, I’m so happy. If you hadn’t given me advice, I wouldn’t have been able to see him at all!”
“Don’t be too happy about it. It’s fishy that he wants to meet you now after avoiding you so much. He must have some ulterior motives. Be careful!”
To be honest, Talitha did not fully believe that Raymond’s advice would help her, but no one else was helping her, so she decided to cling to her only hope.
Now, after his suggestion was proved to be useful, her trust in him increased a lot. She put aside her initial doubts and fully trusted in him now.
She immediately asked him, “Raymond, I have already made the arrangements to meet him at the tea house, what shall I do next?”
“Just meet him and go with the flow. Anyway, you have to insist to give birth to the baby and see his reaction towards it. If he’s willing to accept your opinion, everything will be fine. If he’s unwilling to, then tell me about it!”
She was extremely grateful, “Thank you! I am very grateful that you are willing to help me like this. I will not forget you after I succeed!”
He sneered and said in a soft and warm voice, “We’re family. It’s my duty to help you!”
After dealing with her, he put on a disgusted expression and sent Hardy and Talitha’s meet-up location to Marcus.
Marcus was discussing matters with William when he saw Raymond’s message. He smiled and said, “Mr. Howard, Talitha and Hardy have already made an appointment to meet up. I’ll arrange for people to wait at that location.”
“Wait, let me come up with a good plan first,” William lightly tapped the table with his slender fingers.
“We must be extra cautious tonight! Hardy must have his guard up after what happened last time, and he’ll definitely bring some people with him tonight.”
“That’s what I’m thinking as well. Since he’ll bring his people with him, we have to take them down first. I will arrange our most skilled people to go so that there won’t be a chance for failure,” Marcus promised.
“That isn’t the main point since it’s easy to deal with his men anyway. We have to focus on the secrecy of our plan. He cannot find out that I am behind this! If he thinks that it’s Raelynn and Devon who are scheming against him, it will be easy for us in the future!”
Marcus nodded after hearing that, “I see. Then I’ll arrange everything after you think of a good plan.”
William thought for a moment and told Marcus, “If Hardy is meeting Talitha tonight, his men must be waiting in the parking lot or outside, right? Arrange for our men to beat them up with official reasons. Isn’t there a protest for a crime campaign going on right now? Ask them to use that as an excuse to take them down. Then, we can ask Devon to arrest them for violence, and we’ll kill two birds with one stone!”
Marcus nodded and said, “Alright, so we’ll take down Hardy’s men no matter what!”
William pondered for a moment and said, “I think that Hardy has his own plans for meeting up with Talitha so hurriedly tonight. He will never allow her to give birth to his baby, so there must be something fishy about this meeting. Are there any updates on Bevan?”
“Let me ask!” Marcus called the man who was keeping an eye on Bevan and reported, “I’m following Bevan right now, and he’s in the hospital.”
“Which hospital? Do you know why he’s there?” Marcus asked.
“He’s in a small, unknown hospital in the suburbs, and he went to the gynecology department. I don’t know what a man like him is doing there.”
Marcus put the phone on speaker mode to let William listen to the conversation. The latter frowned and the former asked the man to continue to keep an eye on Bevan. Then, they hung up the phone, and Marcus asked, “Mr. Howard, why is Bevan at the hospital right now?”
“I have an idea, but I’m not sure,” William leaned back and said, “Maybe he’s arranging for a doctor to perform an abortion on Talitha?”
“Abortion? That’s…” Marcus was shocked.
“I think that’s what’s happening. There’s no way Hardy will ever marry Talitha judging by how disgusted he is by her, and her pregnancy is very threatening to him. He has never cared about ethics, so I’m not surprised that he comes up with a plan like this!”
“That sounds very plausible,” After listening to William’s explanation, Marcus realized what was happening, “If that’s true, what shall we do?”
“If my prediction is true, then we’ll have to change our plan!” William narrowed his eyes, “Let Hardy carry out his plan in the tea house first, then we’ll have a good reason to go against him openly.”
“What about the old prostitutes we arranged for him?” Marcus asked again.
“This doesn’t obstruct the original plan, so we’ll proceed with it!”
At six o’clock in the evening, Hardy went to the tea house accompanied by Bevan and several trusted bodyguards. He ordered them to wait outside the parking lot, while he went to meet Talitha alone.
She arrived half an hour earlier than him, and she excitedly dressed up and put on makeup in order to look presentable to him.
Seeing him coming in, she immediately smiled and called out sweetly, “Hardy!”
Hardy looked at her appearance and only felt disgust. However, to achieve his goals, he suppressed his feelings and said, “Sorry, have you been waiting for a while? The traffic was bad for me on the way here!”
“It’s okay, I just arrived too,” she couldn’t control her excitement when she saw him. When he sat down, she immediately moved to his side and grabbed his hand.
“You look much thinner! I heard from Paisley that you’ve been very busy during this period of time. Your workload must have been heavy!”
“Yes!” he nodded and wanted to pull his hand away, but he controlled himself and held her hand instead, “When I heard my sister say that you are pregnant, I was very shocked.”
“Just shocked? Aren’t you happy?” she asked.
Shocked was an understatement since he was literally frightened. He suppressed his disgust and said, “Of course I am. How are you doing now? Do you have morning sickness or other symptoms?”
“Not yet. Maybe it will happen in the future,” she was overjoyed when he showed concern for her body, “Hardy, what do you think of my pregnancy?”
