Chapter 622 Running Out Of Patience

Both Valeria and the servant walked out to welcome Abbie in. She had two limited edition toys with her and said, “Valeria, look! I’ve brought some toys for my son and daughter.”
Valeria grinned and received the present from her. The servant then complained, “Miss Clark, please remember to address her as Val instead of Valeria. It’s a relief that Sir William is not here or else it would be a disaster.”
Abbie stuck out her tongue and apologized, “I’m so sorry! I have forgotten about it. Val! Val! I’ll remember to call you Val from now onwards!”
They headed into the hospital ward and Abbie took out the package. She proudly showed it to Valeria and asked, “Isn’t it gorgeous?”
“Yes, it is!” Valeria glanced at the toys and said, “Wow. This must have cost a fortune, right?”
“That’s a small matter. I had to pull many strings in order to obtain these.” Abbie chuckled satisfyingly and continued, “They would definitely be over the moon upon receiving this.”
“That’s for sure!” Valeria nodded.
“Where’s your husband?” Abbie suddenly realized that William was nowhere to be found.
“He went out to deal with something.”
“Isn’t he experiencing amnesia? Shouldn’t he rest at home for a few days and try to regain some parts of his memory?”
“There’s no need for that. I’m satisfied when he is able to recognize me.”
“Isn’t it strange that he managed to remember you? Your love is indeed unbreakable.” Abbie gasped and continued, “By the way, is he aware that you are pregnant?”
“Yes! He’s too meticulous and had predicted it accurately. I can no longer use my pregnancy to surprise him,” Valeria sighed.
“I think so too. The both of you are a good match when I saw him for the first time. I wanted to pull some strings as I think the both of you are a match made in heaven.”
“Pfft. Weren’t you the one who persuaded me to break up with him?” Valeria rolled her eyes.
“Haha, I didn’t think he deserved you at that time. I thought that he was a playboy and you were an innocent girl. It would be a disaster!”
“What?” A deep-toned voice emerged out of the blue. Abbie turned around and realized William had marched into the hospital ward. She stuck her tongue out and said, “Nothing. Val and I are just joking around.”
Valeria let out a sigh of relief upon seeing his return and asked, “Have you settled things accordingly?”
“Yes!” William grinned and sat beside her. He reached out and hugged Valeria in his arms before he continued, “I came back with your favorite dessert.”
“But, I do not have any appetite.”
William took the dessert from Bobby and offered, “Let me serve you instead!”
Valeria agreed while Abbie glanced at the couple being lovey-dovey and said, “Alright, this is too much for me to handle. I’ll be leaving now! I’ll come back to visit you soon!”
Valeria stood up embarrassedly and offered, “Let me send you off!”
“It’s fine. You shall continue enjoying your moment.” Abbie chuckled and eventually left.
Valeria then asked William, “Why would you meet with Declan out of the blue?”
“I wanted to obtain the formulation of the vermin as well as the antidote from him.” William grinned as he continued, “Declan told me that he has purchased it from someone and I am only able to obtain the information of the seller.”
“Declan is a piece of trash. What if he lies to you?” Valeria was not convinced by the words that came from Declan.
“I don’t think so, as I have some dirt on him.” William came clean and told her about Talitha being the daughter of Declan.
Valeria asked with a surprised look on her face, “What? This is… too over the top!”
“You’re right, and Bobby deserves the credit. We would have no idea about this incident if it weren’t for him.”
Bobby scratched his head upon hearing it and left the ward immediately with an embarrassed look on his face.
“Honey, isn’t it better to tell the whole world about it? Devon would be stripped of his position as a respectable public official whereas Raelyn’s reputation would be shattered into pieces. Natasya would also be faced with a hard time upon this scandal,” Valeria puffed with anger upon explaining her viewpoint.
“Sweetheart, this is not a simple matter as it has something to do with the reputation of the Saunders family. We have to take care of the feelings of both your father and your grandfather, right?”
William chuckled before he continued, “Besides, they would feel indifferent if their reputation was ruined. The best solution is to fight an eye for an eye.”
“Are you implying that you wanted the vermin to have a piece of Natasya?” Valeria frowned and voiced her discontentment, “Declan is a piece of sh*t and he would not simply come clean. It will be a disaster if he is planning to deceive you.”
“Declan is a smart man despite him being cold-blooded. It would be a hot mess if I were to tell the whole world about the scandal. He must have thought things through himself!”
William sneered and continued, “Besides, I am not intending to use the formulation to deal with Natasya. I deceived Declan as I am just interested in the antidote. There is no point to make such a big deal to get rid of a b*tch like Natasya.”
“I see. Do you think that seller has the antidote then?” Valeria knew that William had to get rid of the vermin inside his body as soon as possible.
“I have no idea and we will only know about it after checking things through. I’ve arranged for Marcus to pull some strings at Kenoland and hopefully we would hear from them soon.”
“I hope so too. We would not have to worry about anything if we are able to get our hands on the antidote.”
Talitha had waited in the private room for about an hour before Paisley and Hardy had finally arrived.
Hardy had a blank face whereas Paisley was feeling embarrassed about their late arrival. She tried to ease the tension and explained, “Talitha, we are so sorry for keeping you waiting. The traffic was terrible!”
Talitha had been feeling anxious but instantly felt irritated upon seeing Hardy. However, she composed herself and said, “It’s fine, but I’m starving already. I’ll ask them to serve the dishes now.”
The waiters entered into their private room and the table was soon filled with Hardy’s favorite dishes. Talitha smiled sweetly and took the initiative to serve Hardy, “You should try this! It’s really good!”
“Alright, you shall have some too.” Hardy was feeling disgusted but had to put on an act to obtain the exclusive information from Talitha.
Talitha was extremely delighted upon seeing Hardy serving her as well. She kept teasing and attempted to flirt with him as well.
Paisley was feeling uneasy as she felt that Talitha was behaving over the top.
Paisley would never have the guts to act this way although she was not an innocent woman. She was running out of patience with Talitha’s exaggerated behavior. She eventually picked up her bag and excused herself.
Talitha decided to take things further and moved closer to Hardy.
Hardy had the urge to give her a slap but resisted himself to act rashly. He composed himself as Talitha continued to flirt with him.
Hardy decided to expedite things swiftly and reached out to put his arm around her waist and asked, “Paisley told me that you wanted to tell me something, am I right?”
“Yes, you’re absolutely correct,” Talitha replied and grinned playfully.
“What is it then?”
“Let’s enjoy our meal first and we will head to the hotel later. I promise that I’ll tell you everything that I know.”
Hardy was feeling furious but he could not do anything about it. “Alright, we shall chat about it later then.”
