A few minutes later, Archer walked in with a smile and greeted, “Hi there, Hayden!”
Hayden nodded in a displeased manner while Andrew tried to brighten up the mood and said, “President Saunders, this way please!”
Archer ignored Hayden’s cold attitude and grinned while taking a seat, “I heard that William is finally back, hence I stopped by to see if there’s anything that I can help with.”
“There’s no need for that. The Howard family can handle it accordingly,” Hayden replied sternly.
“Well, I’ll cut straight to the chase. My father went to the hospital today and was told that Natasya’s spleen was badly injured due to the accident. Devon was also there and we all knew that Natasya and Hardy were the mastermind of scheming against William. However, we do not have any evidence to prove them guilty. Natasya has finally had a taste of her medicine as she is now hospitalized. Should we do something to make Devon into a bigger mess?”
“Isn’t Devon your brother-in-law? Are you sure that you would be able to get your hands dirty on him? Is your father in the same boat as you?” Hayden asked.
“My family would always be my number one priority. My daughter and son-in-law are more important than my sister and brother-in-law. I am finally aware of their ulterior motive upon this incident and I am willing to make them pay for what they have done!”
“How about your father? Does he share the same opinion with you?” Hayden asked with a fake smile on his face.
“To be honest, my dad is still hoping that I will get along with Raelyn. But, that is impossible as I have lost trust in her. I have also been keeping my mouth shut between William and Val’s updates from my father. I chose not to tell him that William didn’t completely lose his memory as I was afraid that he would be easily swayed and tell Raelyn about this.”
Hayden was feeling slightly better and said, “Let’s leave this matter to William instead. He should seek revenge for his own sake since he is now well and fine. He would feel much better if things go his way.”
Archer was being polite and was still up for discussion, “You’re absolutely right, but two is always better than one. I think it would be a good idea to talk things through with William. What do you think?”
Hayden knew that his intention was to meet with William but came here to ask for his permission beforehand. He was feeling satisfied as Archer was respecting him and agreed, “You shall proceed to find William. I should not stand in your way to meet him as he is your son-in-law.”
“Thank you so much! I shall leave now and bring Natalie to the hospital with me to pay him a visit now.”
Archer bid goodbye and finally left. Hayden sneered and said, “Isn’t he intending to visit William all along? He’s making such a big fuss out of it.”
Andrew chuckled and said, “Grandpa, you would feel displeased had he gone to visit William without your permission, right?”
“Of course, as William is my son. What right does the Saunders family have to speak with him so casually?”
“How about thinking from a different perspective? Valeria is also the daughter of the Saunders family. Why should she listen to you respectfully and obediently?” Andrew reminded him with a smile.
Hayden remained silent and finally instructed Lucas after composing himself, “Do keep me posted on what does Valeria desires. We shall fulfill her accordingly and not make a joke out of ourselves in the face of the Saunders family. I will take good care of my precious daughter-in-law and they should rest assured.”
Archer left the Howard Group and hopped into his car. Natalie was waiting for him inside the vehicle and asked, “How was the meeting?”
He grinned and said, “He finally gave us the green light to pay William a visit. Let’s head to the hospital now.”
“I’m so relieved! That means I am able to see my dear Val every day. To be honest, I’m really worried about her ever since she got pregnant,” Natalie heaved a sigh of relief, and the car hurled straight to the hospital.
William held Valeria’s hand while they strolled around the rooftop garden. “I’m feeling bored. Honey, I miss things back at home. Let’s go back!”
“Let’s stay here for a few more days, okay? I’m worried about your health condition.”
“They told me the same thing when you were away. Now you’re telling me to stay here again, I’m so frustrated!”
“Please calm down. Don’t forget that you have two little adorable babies inside your belly. They would be unhappy too if their mommy is feeling the same way.” William tried to brighten her mood and continued, “I’ll bring you around after you are being discharged from the hospital. You can go wherever you wish. How does that sound to you?”
“Alright then, I guess I am left with no choice.”
Bobby came over while the couple was in a middle of a conversation and interrupted them, “Mr. and Mrs. Saunders are here.”
“My parents are here?” Valeria was feeling excited and said, “Honey, my parents are here to visit us.”
William lost a year’s worth of memory and had only heard of Archer’s name but did not see him personally before. On the other hand, he had vague memories of Natalie but it was an unpleasant experience.
He was dragged out of the rooftop garden by Valeria. Archer and Natalie were waiting in the corridor and smiled upon seeing the couple. They walked towards them and said, “William!”
William hesitated upon seeing the charming smiles on the faces of Valeria’s parents. He was stunned as he did not know how to address them appropriately.
“Have you gone bonkers? Why are you standing here and smiling like an idiot? You should greet my parents, don’t you think?” Valeria teased and glanced at him.
William finally mustered his courage and greeted them politely, “My dear parents-in-law, how do you do?”
“William, I’m so delighted to see you!” Archer held his hand excitedly.
Natalie held Valeria’s hand instead and stared at her, “How are you feeling?”
Valeria nodded and said, “I’m doing fine. Mom and dad, let’s head over to my room.”
The servant gave them a cup of water and left the room alongside Bobby. Natalie was busy asking about Valeria’s health condition as they took their seats.
Archer, on the other hand, sparked a conversation with William, “William, I’m relieved that you managed to return home safely. Do you mind telling me what is your next move to deal with your enemies?”
“An eye for an eye, that’s for sure!” William answered with a grin on his face and continued, “Marcus had roughly told me about the incident. Devon was convinced that I have lost my memory and was busy making plans to rescue his brother, Declan, out of jail. It’s not wise for me to let him have his way, right?”
Archer agreed and said, “Yes, I think so too, and we should not show any mercy towards them. They are in the same team, but Devon is a meticulous man and I have yet to find any dirt on him. Let’s deal with Declan first as he must be gotten rid of before he does more bad things!”
“I plan to see him before his life comes to an end.” William grinned and continued, “I have something that I have yet to figure out!”
“What is it then?” Archer asked as he was curious about it.
“I can’t confirm it yet as I am just guessing things around. I’ll find out as soon as I pay him a visit.” William was not willing to spill the beans yet.
Archer knew that his mind thinks at a different pace than an ordinary person. He had always acted on an ad-hoc basis and it seemed that he had discovered something new.
“What! Didn’t he experience amnesia and struggles to recall his past? How could he manage to plan his next move despite coming back from abroad for just a few days?” Archer thought to himself.
