Ronald closed his eyes and pretended to be asleep. Savannah went to the kitchen with a satisfied look as she thought she had successfully drugged Ronald with the milk she had given him.
She did not have to worry about anything right now, as Ronald would be dead asleep for the entire day.
Savannah felt hungry after a long night yesterday, so she opened the fridge to see what was inside for her to choose from. Suddenly, Raelyn’s phone call came through while Savannah was filling up her stomach.
“Have you seen the announcement?”
“Yeah!”
“My brother spared no efforts indeed. I reckon that his wife and daughter would be in all the headlines these few days. What are you planning to do today?” Raelyn asked.
“I’ll follow your plan accordingly and send the video over to my father later tonight. Don’t worry about it.”
“Well, where do you intend to put on your show?” Raelyn asked once more.
“Of course it will have to be at my brother’s place,” Savannah replied.
“Is there anything that I can do for you?”
“No, I’m good. I’m still at Ronald’s and I’m waiting for the drug to kick in. After he’s asleep, I’ll head home. There’s still plenty of time.”
After Raelyn heard her reply, she felt assured but gave Savannah a few more reminders before hanging up the call.
Then, Savannah went to the bedroom after ending the call to check on Ronald. He was snoring, which meant that he was fast asleep. She went over to the bedside with a disgusted look and nudged him while saying, “Honey?”
Ronald did not have any response and the snores did not subside. Seeing this, Savannah smirked and cursed Ronald, who was deep in his dreamland, “B*stard!”
Savannah intended to scour through his phone that was on the bedside table. Unfortunately, it was password-protected.
She threw his phone away furiously and changed out of her pajamas to leave Ronald’s apartment. Suddenly, she felt dizzy as she went out of the bedroom and tried to poise herself by holding on to the door frame. However, the dizziness didn’t go away, and she gave her last ounce of strength to reach the sofa before she passed out eventually.
Ronald went out immediately as soon as he heard the loud noise to see if his plan had worked. When he saw that Savannah had fainted on the sofa, he let out a cold chuckle and went back to grab his phone from the bedroom. He texted William, “William, the witch has fainted and she will most probably be unconscious for the entire day. There won’t be any drama today.”
Meanwhile, the sun was blazing hot at ten in the morning by the beach. Valeria was dressed in a floral swimsuit and was swimming in the sea while holding on to a duck-printed lifebuoy.
On the other hand, William wore beach shorts, slippers, a short-sleeved T-shirt, and a pair of sunglasses. He watched Valeria as she swam across the sparkling blue ocean. He raised his phone to take photos of her now and then.
While taking pictures, he saw the text message that was sent by Ronald, to which he replied, “You did well!”
After that, he continued taking pictures of Valeria, who was posing while enjoying the swim. At that moment, footsteps could be heard as Michael, who had the same outfit as William, walked over towards William leisurely with his arms crossed.
William turned around. He squinted his eyes at Michael and smiled, “Where is Abbie?”
“She is still asleep.”
“Way to go, man. She can’t even get up after just one night of action?” William teased him.
“I haven’t touched anyone for three years so it’s taking a toll on me, alright? I needed to make up for the moments that we have missed out on,” Michael replied as he glanced over at Valeria, who was swimming in the sea.
Seeing the direction of his gaze, William glared at him and asked, “Why are you staring at my wife?”
“Come on, I just had a look, and isn’t beauty deserved to be admired upon? I’m just appreciating her charm from afar, and I can assure you that I don’t have any other thoughts! So stop being so sensitive.”
“Get lost! Don’t interrupt us,” William drove him away impatiently.
Michael rolled his eyes at William and left while Valeria dragged her lifebuoy out from the ocean as she was done swimming. She panted, “Ah! I’m so tired!”
“Does your stomach still feel uncomfortable?” William asked while he wiped her body with a towel.
“Not at all, it’s towards the end of my period,” Valeria replied.
“Looks like I could have a taste of heaven very soon then!” William grinned.
“Get lost! I’m heading back to check on Abbie.”
“I don’t think you should. Michael said she was still asleep after a steamy night. Isn’t it rude to interrupt her sleep?”
“F*cker!” Valeria glared and cursed in Michael’s direction while William wrapped her body tightly with a bath towel. He said, “Alright, let’s call it a day and head back. I made some soup for you. It’s good for your health, so be sure to have plenty.”
“My husband is too good to be true! Not only that, you look dashingly handsome in every angle and every outfit. I love you so much!”
“What? I thought you like me more when I’m not covered with anything,” William teasingly replied.
“Is that so? Why don’t you strip everything off now? I want you completely naked,” Valeria raised her eyebrows and challenged him. William moved to take off his clothes immediately, but was halted by Valeria, “Are you for real? Have you gone mad?”
He looked at Valeria innocently and said, “I’ll do anything that my wife says!”
“Hah! You’re lying! You were enjoying yourself when doing stuff that I’ve specifically told you not to.” Valeria rolled her eyes at him. In a blink of an eye, her attitude changed as she whined, “Honey, I’m too tired to walk back!”
“Do you want me to carry you or do you want a piggyback?” William buttered her up and asked.
“Carry me!”
“No problem! My wife will always have the final say,” Then, William carried Valeria in his arms and headed back to the villa. Michael shook his head and smiled upon seeing them being lovey-dovey with each other.
Bobby and Marcus had arrived at William’s villa and laughed uncontrollably at the sight of the pair of lovebirds as they returned from the beach.
“What are you guys laughing at? Have you brought what I told you?” William glared at them and asked.
“Yes. I have brought over Mrs. Howard’s dress and jewelry,” Marcus hid his smile away and answered immediately.
“Head over to my father-in-law’s place to give them a hand. Oh, bring along my wife’s dress and accessories over as well. She will change into them there.”
“Yes, sir! Do we need to tighten our security level?” Marcus asked.
“No, let’s just proceed as normal,” William looked at Marcus before he continued, “She won’t be able to cook up something big tonight.”
Marcus nodded while he stepped into the car and left the place with Bobby. Valeria asked curiously, “Honey, who do you mean by ‘she’? Is it Raelyn or Savannah?”
“It’s Savannah. She wanted to cause a ruckus tonight but ended up making a fool of herself. Speaking of which, Ronald had been a great help. What a pity!”
“Why do say so?”
“He had wasted his ability on the wrong things.” William replied as they entered the villa, and Valeria immediately went upstairs to check up on Abbie before heading for a shower. In the guest room, Abbie was still sleeping soundly and was not awakened by the sound of Valeria opening the door. Seeing that she was still asleep, Valeria shook her head and headed back to her room.
Meanwhile, Raelyn was accompanied by bodyguards to pick someone up from Juxemburg airport. The flight from overseas had arrived punctually at half-past one in the afternoon. Upon arrival, Natasya wrapped herself in a black trench coat with her mask on alongside a pair of sunglasses and made her way out of the airport while carrying a limited-edition Chanel handbag.
It was always a pleasant feeling when both mother and daughter reunited again. Raelyn gave her precious daughter a big hug before taking off Natasya’s sunglasses. She had a good look at Natasya, “You have lost some weight! Oh, look how gorgeous you’ve become!”
Natasya and Talitha were twins, but they did not look alike at all as Natasya had better features and was a sweet-talker, “Thanks, mummy! You seemed to have age backward!”
“Oh, stop it! I’m no longer energetic and passionate. How could I not feel old?”
“Don’t you know that you’re the most beautiful woman to me? Natasya held Raelyn’s hand affectionately. “Mummy, let’s hop into the car. We will have ample privacy to talk about things when we reach home.”
