They were still in the café of the hotel that was owned by the Anthony family. Raelyn was wrapped in a black coat as she rushed into the private room with a mask covering her face. Just then, she saw Paisley leaning against the soft leather sofa in a comfortable position.
She pulled down her mask and said, “I’m late!”
Upon seeing Raelyn, Paisley nodded with a smile. “No, I was early instead. Please have a seat, Mrs. Saunders!”
Raelyn took off her coat and put it away. Then, a waiter came in to deliver coffee before he closed the door and went out. Raelyn said with a grateful face, “Thank you very much for you and Mr. Anthony’s assistance.”
“It’s nothing, it’s just a piece of cake. My brother just called me and told me that everything has been taken care of. Right now, Hayden will definitely think that William is scheming against Savannah for Valeria’s sake. He would no longer believe William.”
“That’s good to hear!” Raelyn let out a sigh of relief. “Both you and Mr. Anthony were very capable to help me think of such an idea. Otherwise, I would be in trouble this time.”
“Mrs. Saunders, you flatter me too much and you’ve overestimated my capabilities. I just happened to have some contacts in Juxemburg,” Paisley replied humbly.
Raelyn spared no efforts to establish a good relationship with Paisley. “I think that you are truly capable, and there are not many beautiful and talented girls like you.”
“Mrs. Saunders, I do not think so. I wouldn’t have lost to Valeria if I were really capable. Wait, forget about her, let’s discuss about Savannah.”
Paisley didn’t want to waste time on boring and pretentious social etiquette. “Savannah’s existence is posing a dangerous threat. Mrs. Saunders, you would have to get rid of her to have a peace of mind, right?”
“Yes, Savannah is indeed a big threat. I’ve been thinking about this for a long time, but I have not made any moves yet. Paisley, do you have any good ideas or recommendations?”
“I have roughly told you about my suggestion on the phone, and we should make a move on the day of Valeria’s party. I am able to provide assistance to help you ruin the party successfully. However, you have to think of a way to lure Savannah into your trap.”
Based on Raelyn’s understanding, Paisley’s plan was to kill Savannah at the party and put the blame on Valeria. However, Raelyn was uncomfortable with this idea. “The party will be arranged by my brother and the security would be very tight. The sight of Savannah at the party will definitely attract attention, and killing her there would put us at a large disadvantage. I think it’s too dangerous as a single mistake would ruin the entire plan.”
“Mrs. Saunders, do you know the reason why I proposed to let Savannah die at Valeria’s party? I’m not trying to push the blame to Valeria! Savannah’s cause of death would not be murder, but it would be suicide instead! After all, Valeria and Natalie will have strong alibis, and they would not have to get their hands dirty over a mere peasant. I’m only doing this to create a misunderstanding.”
“What? Are you trying to make Hayden think that Savannah’s death was indirectly because of Valeria and Natalie?”
“Yes, Savannah’s death would not just solve your problems. I also reckon that her death would play a much more important role. At the very least, I’d have to make Hayden think that Savannah was being pushed to suicide, and the culprits would be the both of them. By doing so, the Howard family will despise them to the very core. We can just sit on the side lines and watch how it progresses, can’t we?”
It should be noted that Paisley’s move was not an ordinary plan, but a vicious one. Raelyn pondered for a moment before replying, “If it’s just to get Hayden to pin Savannah’s death on Valeria and Natalie, I have a better idea.”
“Mrs. Saunders, please tell me about it!” Paisley knew that Raelyn was not easy to deal with, and she wanted to see what the better plan was.
“Savannah is at the end of her rope now. She had the guts to kill her father, and she will definitely be willing to go to extreme lengths. Therefore, the aftermath would definitely be extraordinary if she records her own suicide and uploads it to the internet.”
“Mrs. Saunders, you are indeed brilliant. However, would Savannah be willing to shoot such a video?”
“Yes! I’ll find a way to get her to do it!”
“I shall anticipate for your good news then!” Paisley raised her coffee cup towards Raelyn.
When William and Valeria returned to the villa, they were surprised to see that the lights in the villa were still on. Furthermore, Marcus’ car was also parked in front of their doorstep. William muttered, “Didn’t he arrange for someone else to send it over? Or did he send it personally?”
They entered the living room while holding each other’s hands. Just then, Marcus was laying on the sofa while watching TV in the living room. There was a glass of red wine on the coffee table in front of him.
Just as Marcus saw William and Valeria, he stood up with a smile and said, “I have something to tell you, so I brought them over myself.”
“You’re just sending over some clothing, but why are you drinking the wine from my cellar as well? Are you not planning to go back after enjoying the wine?” William looked at Marcus with a slight smile.
“Yes, I have an idea to propose. You would not send me away, would you, Valeria?” Marcus asked Valeria with a smile.
“No, I won’t.”
“I’m relieved to hear that!”
William and Marcus wanted to have a conversation with each other, so Valeria took the jewellery and dress away before she went back to her bedroom. William sat down on the sofa in the living room and said, “Tell me then, what’s the matter?”
“Mr. Howard, Raelyn secretly went to a hotel which belongs to the Anthony family to hold a secret meeting with Paisley tonight. Our spies did not get to follow her further because Raelyn was in the Anthony family’s territory, hence we have no idea what they were talking about.”
“Paisley has agreed to be on Raelyn’s side? Hence, Hardy must have participated in it too, right? Hardy is a man who would commit murder ruthlessly. Could this weird incident today have something to do with him?” William was being cautious and he sensed that something was wrong.
“I have another thing to tell you. After that, I carefully inquired about the person who was following Lucas at the entrance of the testing centre. He said that a child ran into him at the entrance with milk tea spilled all over him. Furthermore, he always felt that someone was following him when he went back, but he didn’t find any concrete evidence.”
“A person’s sixth sense is the most accurate, and I’m pretty sure his intuition is correct,” William’s expression became serious.
Marcus then said, “Yes, you are right. I’ve sent someone to investigate the surveillance video of the centre. As expected, something was not right and he has indeed been spied on. Who do you think the suspicious man is working for? Raelyn, or Savannah or Charles?”
William shook his head. “It’s not them. It’s probably Hardy’s men.”
“Hardy? What benefit would he reap by intervening in this matter? ”
“This issue happened due to my negligence, and I didn’t expect that Hardy would intervene. Since Paisley was set up by Andrew last time, I’m pretty sure that the Anthony family may be interested to seek revenge now.”
“What should we do now?” Marcus asked.
“Let me think about it!” William leaned back and gave it a deep thought. After a while, he slowly said, “Savannah is going to bear grave consequences soon!”
