Mason ran away from the apartment quickly. He hid in a small apartment that only he and Elizabeth knew.
span class=”update-style”He didn’t rest and kept reading the news because he saw Elizabeth’s car accident was on the news this morning/span.
Charles desperately wanted to hide the news of Elizabeth getting into an accident. However, William did not give him a chance to do so.
span class=”update-style”William had spread the news widely/span, span class=”update-style” and he had announced the hospital that Elizabeth had been sent to as he was hoping the Mason would visit her/span.
However, Mason was too timid. He was afraid that this was a trap that Charles had set up. He did not even dare to go out after reading the news.
Instead, he anxiously waited in the small apartment for several hours.
He believed that Elizabeth’s car crash was not an accident. Instead, he was sure that Charles did it. Now that Charles had attacked Elizabeth, he would not let Mason off either. Mason had to find someone that could support him before that happened.
Mason thought about Valeria. She was now the daughter of the Saunders family, and they were a powerful family that could protect him. Besides, she was so naive and kind. If he begged her to help him and give her Charles and Savannah’s secret in return, perhaps she would help him.
Thus, he made an appointment to meet her. He was worried that an accident would happen to him, so he dressed up to avoid anyone recognizing him and arrived at the dessert shop half an hour earlier. After ordering a meal, he checked the surroundings carefully through a pair of binoculars.
After waiting for a long time, Valeria finally appeared.
She drove here on her own without bringing any drivers or bodyguards. He waited for a few more minutes to make sure that there was no one suspicious. Then, he kept his binocular and went to meet her.
After Valeria sat down and drank coffee for a while, Mason secretly opened the door and came in.
She saw how protective he was and laughed, “Haha! Who are you hiding from now?”
“Charles! Didn’t you watch the news? I’m sure he was the one who planned my aunt’s accident. Now, he must be looking for me. So, I had to disguise myself so that I won’t get caught!”
“Haha! Mason, are you trying to disguise yourself by dressing up like this? People will look at you more often because you look weird. Wouldn’t that increase the possibility of you being discovered?”
After hearing Valeria’s words, Mason seemed to have realized his mistake. He took off his hat, sunglasses, and mask. Then he said, “Anyway, you’re here, so I don’t need to hide my identity anymore. So, I came here today to make a deal with you.”
“Oh?” She looked at him indifferently.
“I’ll tell you that all the crooked things that Charles and Savannah have done. However, you need to help me to get revenge and Charles and Savannah. Also, please keep my aunt safe.”
“Hmm… I guess we’ll have to see whether the information you have is valuable then,” Valeria answered coldly.
Mason was a little anxious when he saw her uninterested. “Of course. Your mom was murdered because of Savannah. Aren’t you going to investigate it?”
“That’s it?” Valeria retorted.
“What’s more, I also know what caused the death of Andrew’s mother. Also, aren’t you dating William now? Savannah killed his mother too!”
Valeria’s expression became upset after hearing his words. “Are you telling the truth?”
“Yes. If you can guarantee my safety, I’ll tell you the truth.”
“Where is the evidence? I need to see it. Otherwise, how can I be sure whether you are telling the truth?” Valeria was surprised, but she managed to calm herself down and retort.
“If you can guarantee my aunt safety, I’ll hand over the evidence I have to you.” Mason became hopeful when he saw that Valeria was slightly interested now.
“I will certainly help you if you really have it. After all, I will make sure that this is a fair deal. Besides, I need only a little bit of evidence, not all of them.”
Even though Valeria was trying to get him to show the evidence, Mason could not do so. After all, he had only heard Elizabeth talk about it casually, so he could only reply, “I don’t have the evidence, but my aunt knows the truth. If you manage to send us overseas, she’ll hand over the evidence to you.”
“Hah! Are you trying to trick me when you have nothing? Valeria sneered, “Tsk! Mason, you are always shameless. Did you think that I would do you a favour because you came to beg me?”
“No… Although I hurt you before, I saved you once, so you can’t just ignore me when I’m in trouble, can you?”
Valeria was speechless. How could he bring this issue up? “Mason, can you stop being so shameless? Why are you bringing up this incident at such a situation? Do you think I don’t know the truth? I don’t believe that someone as selfish as you would put yourself in danger to save others! What bullsh*t!”
Now that Valeria had exposed Mason, he was embarrassed, so he could only say, “Well! Even it’s fake, what I said just now is true. I don’t have any evidence, but my aunt just told me a little bit about it.”
“Heh. Who can prove that she is telling the truth then?” Valeria retorted.
“She blackmailed Savannah by asking for 50 million dollars and eventually received it. Isn’t this enough to prove it?”
“Show me the text she sent to blackmail her then.”
Mason then opened his phone to show the contents of the extortion to her. After reading the message once, Valeria shook her head and said, “Mason, this text only mentioned my mother. What about Andrew’s and William’s mothers?”
“We planned to blackmail her a second time, so we only brought up this one incident. Valeria, you know that Savannah murdered your mother, so don’t you want revenge? In fact, we can throw her in jail with this, right?”
Valeria narrowed her eyes and sneered, “Heh. Of course, that’s not enough.”
Natalie was not dead, so she could not do anything to Savannah with this message only. What she needed now was other evidence.
When Mason saw how emotionless Valeria was, he lost all hope. Before he came to meet her, he thought that he could convince her with the information he had, but she was too calm right now.
Thus, he had no choice but to try to persuade her. “Look, my aunt really has the evidence with her. What’s more, Charles caused the accident that killed Andrew’s mother, and William’s mom’s death was not due to blood loss. In fact, they added something in her drip, so she ended up dying because of that.”
What? Didn’t they kill Natalie using the same method? They were too vicious! Valeria was secretly stunned when she heard this news, and she needed to report this information to William so he could decide what to do with it.
She looked at Mason and said, “Okay, I can help you, but you have to listen to me. From now on, you are not free anymore. You must stay in the place that I arranged and wait for my news. Can you do that?”
span class=”update-style””Yes!” He immediately nodded/span.
“Alright, I’ll get someone to pick you up then!” Valeria said and picked up her phone to call Lamont.
