At the door, a few tall and sturdy bodyguards came in, but William stayed still and remained calm on the sofa. He asked, “What’s this?”
When Hayden saw his calm demeanor, he laughed coldly. “This is for real, William. And I’m not afraid to tell you what’s happening. From now on, you’re under house arrest, and you are to stay in this house obediently. You can leave when you agree to break up with Valeria!”
William looked at him calmly and said, “Dad, don’t you know that restricting a person’s freedom is against the law?”
“Don’t talk about the law with me. You are my son. This is my house. I am the law!”
Then, Hayden ordered the bodyguards, “Confiscate his phone!”
He did this to prevent William from calling for help. William took his phone out and fidgeted with it as he looked at the bodyguard who was approaching him with a smile and said, “Let me remind you, my things are not to be touched without my permission. If you touch my phone, then you would have to bear the consequences. You’d better think about it carefully.”
The bodyguards hesitated after hearing him say this with that smile on his face. Hayden roared angrily, “What are you waiting for? Take his phone!”
With no other choice, the bodyguard took the phone from his hands tentatively, but William leaned back and kept the smile on his face. “You’re hopeless. Did you not understand me?”
He was smiling with no trace of anger on his face, but the bodyguard felt an inexplicable chill down his spine.
Seeing the bodyguards staying silent out of fear, Hayden was furious. “Take him upstairs to rest. Arrange for someone to send him three meals a day, and he is not allowed to step a foot out of his room!”
The bodyguards didn’t dare to disobey Hayden’s orders, so they had no choice but to step forward. “Sir William! Please!”
However, William did not move an inch. Instead, he leaned back into his chair lazily and said, “I don’t want to go upstairs. Why don’t you guys carry me up?”
The bodyguards looked at each other, but they did not dare touch him. William snorted and said, “At least you guys know better! I’ll be leaving first, you guys have fun.”
He stood up as he spoke, but several bodyguards blocked his path. He frowned and said, “Let me remind you that you will be put in jail if you illegally detain someone. I won’t be happy if you guys are only locked up for a few days, so I might make you stay in there for several years. Are you guys going to be cool with that?”
“You b*stard! How dare you threaten them! Ignore him! Take him upstairs and lock him up!” Hayden was infuriated and his eyes were bulging. Outside the house, the sound of sirens could be heard. Soon, Lucas came rushing in.
“Sir Hayden, more than a dozen policemen have arrived! They have received a report on illegal detainment here, and they are here to arrest the suspect.”
“How dare they cause trouble in my house!” Hayden didn’t expect that William would be prepared for this, so he roared in anger.
The police officers had already come inside the mansion with weapons. They spoke sternly as they barged in, “We have received a report that suspicious activities of illegal detainment are being carried out here. Please follow us to the police station immediately for an investigation!”
Hayden didn’t recognize any of the police officers, so he was furious. “No way am I going! I’ll give your boss a call right now!”
“You don’t need to call him. The main department had sent them here, so their boss does not have a say in this!” William lazily passed by the bodyguards surrounding him. “They illegally locked me up just now and beat me up too. I might have some internal injuries. Oh… I can’t stand up anymore. Help, I’m going to die!”
As he said that, he fell backward and Bobby appeared behind him to help him up. Meanwhile, Michael and Marcus also came in and said righteously, “I am the victim’s lawyer. I’ll be suing them for illegal detainment and physical harassment!”
“You b*stard! Don’t tell me that you want me to go to jail too?” Hayden stomped his feet furiously.
“We are doing everything in accordance with the law, and only the people who are involved in the physical harassments are subject to criminal arrest.” The police answered seriously.
“By the way, why do you have my client’s phone in your hands? This phone is a custom-made model and is worth millions. Are you hurting him and robbing his belongings too?” Michael said seriously.
“This stupid phone is worth millions?” Hayden glared at Michael.
Michael didn’t say anything, so Marcus came over with a smile and reached out to hold William as he looked at Bobby and said, “That phone is valuable, so you’d better take it back from them!”
Bobby took a step forward and reached out for the mobile phone. Seeing this, the bodyguard who was holding the phone handed it over to him immediately. However, Bobby did not take the phone but targeted the bodyguard’s wrist instead. With a loud click, the bodyguard let out a bone-chilling yell.
After Bobby fractured the bodyguard’s wrist, he caught the mobile phone in his hands. In front of so many policemen, he said lightly, “Sir William had already said that an expensive phone like this cannot be taken by anyone. Why didn’t you guys listen?”
“Yes, was it worth it for you to fracture your wrist? You’d better think it through before doing anything in the future!” Michael did not forget to add fuel to the flame. “Now, it’s just your wrist. If this happens again in the future, you might lose your life!”
Soon, the bodyguards were taken away by the police for investigation, and William pretended to be unconscious as Marcus and Michael carried him away.
Hayden chased after them, cursing, “You heartless b*stard, how dare you trick your father!”
“Shh! Hayden, you shouldn’t scold him like that. You might violate another law!” Michael smiled.
“You’re not a good person, either. You and William are just birds of the same feather!”
“Calm down, Hayden! We won’t do anything to you, but we can’t say the same for the people who follow your orders. For the sake of the people around you, you shouldn’t do anything improper anymore!” Marcus interrupted.
“Are you threatening me?” Hayden glared at Marcus.
“I’m just stating the truth. William is your son, so why are you doing this to him?”
Then, Bobby opened the car door as Marcus and Michael helped William onto the car.
Hayden stood in front of his house as he helplessly watched the car drive away. Lucas, who was standing next to him, sighed. “Hayden, Marcus has appeared today, so William’s identity is quite obvious…”
“So he really is the president of the Wolf Group! That b*stard! How dare he hide this from me! What is he thinking?”
Hayden felt that he had been humiliated. As William’s father, shouldn’t he have informed him firsthand about his current status?
Now, it seemed like he was the last one to know about this, which showed that William truly looked down on him.
“The Saunders family is shameless. How could they blindly help William with his plans? It’s obvious that they are only interested in his status. I think he was behind Savannah’s incident. How could he betray us like that for a woman!”
“What do we do now? He’s so arrogant… You won’t be able to stop him at all. Do we just let him do as he pleases?” Lucas asked.
“There will always be a way! Let me think about it! I’m sure I can come up with a plan.”
