Raymond was astonished after knowing someone died in his room.
“How could this happen in my room? She didn’t do it, right?” Raymond lost his mind and grabbed William’s hand. “Uncle, there must be someone else. You must know it, right?”
William patted his shoulder. “I don’t know who is it, but I’m sure that the dead person is also sinful! This is his karma!”
“So that means two groups of people wanted to kill me tonight?” Raymond murmured.
If William had not interfered tonight, he would have definitely stayed in that room without any precaution.
In the end, he would be the one dead inside. This thought made his face turn pale. “Oh my… Who was it? I just told her alone… She can’t arrange a large group of people to attack me though, so who hates me so much? Is it my dad?”
He even suspected Archer. William shook his head and said, “Don’t talk nonsense. It’s not him. You wouldn’t be here now if he was behind this.”
“Then it must be my mom. Urgh! Why did she do this?” Raymond couldn’t understand. As a mother, how could she kill her own son? Was she even human?
However, the main point was that he hadn’t done anything against Savannah.
“Calm down! The police will come and ask about the situation soon. Don’t hide and say whatever you know,” William sighed when he saw Raymond looked depressed, but he couldn’t tell him the truth.
The dead person and the person who had put the drug were either the helpers of Savannah or Natalie. One of them was Raymond’s biological mother, while the other was his stepmother. However, both of them had evil intentions. Natalie would harm Raymond as he was Savannah and Archer’s son, but why would Savannah harm him?
To marry Archer, she had tried her best to get back Raymond. Since she could tolerate him for so many years, she wouldn’t kill him at this time because she would have nothing in Saunders family if he died.
Thus, what did Savannah’s helper do in his room? Was he possibly helping Raymond?
William did not believe that she arranged for someone to help Raymond. He felt that she had other purposes instead.

Since a murder had happened, the resort was closed and police guarded all entrances and exits.
The murder had taken place in Raymond’s previous room. The police checked the room and there were fingerprints on props that left inside. Obviously, the dead man had not entered the room with good intentions.

A forensic expert dissected him and proved that he died after smelling excessive toxic drugs. Experts had also come to extract and test the smell that was still left inside the room.
There was no doubt that the police would question Raymond first since he had organised the party. And now, there was a dead person in this room.
However, he told the truth. He had only stayed in his room for a few minutes since he entered the resort. Then, he had spent time at the barbecue party near the lake until now. Thus, he had no suspicion at all as the other attendees acted as his witnesses.
However, the police were curious about the person that had put the poison in Raymond’s room. They requested to investigate the security cameras, but they had been broken coincidentally.
This incident was getting more complicated. Everyone was ordered to stay and wait for further information from the police.
The resort was cleaned up. Other than the staff, the other people who were in the resort were Raymond’s guests. They were well-known upper-class people, so the police arranged for some important people to investigate this case.
No one dared to interrogate them. Instead, they drank tea and chatted together to ask some questions regarding the incident politely.
When it was William’s turn, he casually said, “Everyone knows that there’s nothing wrong with us. It would be easy for us to kill a person with our status, right? We are not stupid enough to dig our own graves and alert the police ourselves. ”
“Yes, you’re right. After all, we’re only following the general procedures. If you know the situation, perhaps you can tell us more about what happened so we can solve the case.”
“I don’t have many details about it because I came later. By the time I arrived, this person could have already died. However, I encountered the resort’s owner at the entrance when I arrived. I almost fought with him.”
“Is that so? Mr. Howard, can you tell me more about it?”
“Well, he was speeding even though it was midnight, and he almost bumped into my car. I’m not a person who would let others bully me, so I was about to hit him after getting off the car. However, since he was humble, I let him go.”
The police sensitively realized the problem and asked, “Did you let him go?”

While they were teasing each other, Archer came out from another room. He stopped, and his facial expression seemed complicated when he saw both of them.
