After Natalie and Gonzalec left the resort successfully, Gonzalec immediately called one of his trusted subordinates in the resort. He asked them to arrange another room for Raymond and to remove any fatal items in his room.
The confidant immediately agreed and decided to remove the items in the room first. He put on the gas mask and was going to open the window, but only to see a man lying on the floor!
He was shocked and opened the window immediately when he saw that the dead man’s mouth was full of white foam. Then, he called Gonzalec quickly, “Boss, someone broke into the room! I’m not sure when he did it, but he’s now dead!”
Gonzalec did not expect this to happen. He looked at Natalie, who was next to him and said, “There’s a dead man in Raymond’s room. I don’t know when he got in. What should we do now?”
Natalie didn’t expect such an accident too. This dead man could not be a resort staff. Then, who was he?
Could it be Raymond’s bodyguard? If so, it would be troublesome. Natalie was worried. “Since it’s already happened, we can’t hide it. Call the police.”
“What if the police start investigating… D*mn it, if we didn’t meet William tonight, he wouldn’t have found you. Now, it will be troublesome if they ask about your whereabouts.”
“Don’t worry, I have a plan.” Natalie picked up her phone and called someone. “Arrange for someone to wait in the hospital with the same clothes as me. We’ll be there soon.”
Gonzalec immediately understood and arranged for Natalie’s doppelganger to wait for them at the hospital. Thus, they could reduce any suspicion on Natalie when the police came to question them.
It was twelve o’clock, and the barbecue had ended. Valeria sent a message to William. “Honey, shall we continue to barbecue by the lake or go back?”
After that, she didn’t receive his message reply, so she was worried. When she was about to call him, a man put his hand on her shoulder and said with a smile, “Hey, gorgeous, are you looking for me?”
“Honey! Why are you here?” Valeria hugged William’s waist happily.
“I was worried, so I came to see you!” He replied while hugging her.
Raymond and Andrew also came over to greet them. “Hey! Uncle William!”
“It’s all right. You can hang around as much as you want!” William waved his hand to Raymond and Andrew.
“Uncle… Nothing happened tonight, right?” Raymond asked tentatively.
“Just a minor issue. Your dad is here. Why don’t you follow Andrew to meet him?”
“My dad? Why is he here?” Raymond asked.
“I don’t know. Why don’t you ask him yourself?”
“No!” Raymond shook his head. Archer didn’t like him, so why should Raymond force himself to meet him?
“It’s up to you!” William didn’t care about him anymore. He caressed Valeria’s head. “Darling, did you miss me very much?”
“Of course. We’ve only been separated for a while, but it feels like I haven’t seen you in ages!” Valeria replied with a smile.
“Good girl. I miss you too!” After hearing them flirting, Raymond and Andrew looked at each other, “Urgh! Isn’t this too much? Can’t you get a room if you all want to act lovey-dovey with each other? How can you torture single people like us?”
“I have an easy solution for you! Why don’t you find someone so you can show off your relationship too?” William’s words were convincing.
Raymond and Andrew walked away silently. Valeria smiled and said, “Honey, are you hungry? I’ll make some barbecue for you, okay? What do you want to eat?”
“I’ll accept anything that my darling roasted!” William replied with a smile.
“Then I’ll do it according to my taste.”
She went to barbecue happily. Richard and Michael came over. “You’re finally here!”
“You had a good time, didn’t you?” William said with a smile.
“Urgh! What do you mean by having a good time? I’ve been staring at your wife all the time while Michael was staring at Raymond. I didn’t manage to drink any wine till now.” Richard sat down and poured the wine, “Since you’re here, now I can eat and drink freely. Besides, you’ll handle any trouble that comes our way!”
“Hah! You sound upset, don’t you?” William squited and smiled.
“Okay guys, enjoy yourselves! We’ll be able to witness a good show soon.”
“Ooh! Where is it going to be?” Richard looked around and asked, “Wait… where’s Bobby?”
“Don’t worry about him. Now, you should eat and drink as you like. When the police arrives, we can’t do so anymore!”
“The police are here? Have you found him?” Richard asked in surprise.
“Oh yeah… He’s dead!” William replied faintly.
“What’s going on?” Richard and Michael were shocked.
William shrugged. “I don’t know the details, so we need to wait for the police to know more about it. However, I guess that someone sneaked into Raymond’s room to arm him, but that person was unlucky. He died due to the poisonous drug in the room. It was probably placed by someone who originally wanted to harm Raymond, but he became the sacrifice in the end!”
“If so, are there two groups of people who want to kill Raymond?” Richard was astonished.
Michael was also shocked. “Who else could it be other than Savannah?”
“Well… I don’t know.” William shrugged. He knew the truth, but he couldn’t say it out.
“She’s too vicious!” Richard sighed.
William took a sip of wine, and Valeria brought the grilled meat and potatoes. “Honey, here, taste this.”
He picked up the roasted potato that Valeria made with a smile and ate it in large mouthfuls. He had a casual smile on his face, but he felt blessed. Thankfully, he had taken action to prevent any serious trouble from happening. Otherwise, Raymond would be the one dead in the room tonight!
If Natalie knew that she had killed her own son, would she be able to live with it?
After William ate more than half of the barbecue that Valeria had made, they heard the sounds of a police siren.
Valeria was going to continue barbecuing, but she stopped after hearing the siren. Then, she looked at William and said, “Honey, they’re coming.”
“Well, don’t worry. It has nothing to do with us.” He patted her shoulder to comfort her.
“That’s good. I’m just worried. Has the person who entered Raymond’s room been caught?”
“He can’t run away. Don’t worry.”
“Huh? Did you send someone to catch him? Do you know who is he working for?” Valeria asked excitedly.
“I don’t have to know because he is dead!”
Valeria opened her eyes wide. “What? He’s dead? We’re in big trouble now!”
