EPILOGUE
THREE YEARS LATER
JAYDEN DMIEN’S HOME, NEW YORK.
Jayden stared at the WhatsApp media that was sent to him on his phone. They included pictures and videos of Jaylen playing around with his daughter named Ramaya. His niece is an adorable young girl that lights up every where. Most times he is forced to indulge in a video call with the family because she always cries about wanting to speak with him.
It amazed him every time because he had never seen Ramaya before aside her images and videos being sent to him. Jaylen had pleaded for him to pay them a visit but Jayden had refused. However, he ensured gifts was sent every time to her. Jayden, knowing how much he was still attached to Lorelei, he didn’t want to be reminded of how much of a loser he was.
Jayden handling his father’s chain of businesses had kept him away from suicidal thoughts. However, he was no longer feeling comfortable with the situation. Not only did the silver poisoning ruin his legs and make his wolf useless but also he still wasn’t over the fact that it was his fault that Juno’s life got cut short.
Jayden discovered he was impotent six months after arriving New York. The blow was too much that he had visited several best doctors that he could reach to at least help him with the impotency. He preferred being disabled than having to lose his manhood too.
Everyday Jayden woke up feeling bitter and cursing at Liam for betraying him so much. If he wasn’t dead by the time Jayden had regained consciousness he would have killed Liam himself but he was long dead before then. He would have never known about it if he hadn’t threatened the Iotas in charge of his treatment to tell him.
It was obvious the family didn’t want him to be bothered about it. The discussion he had with Jaylen three years ago in that infirmary bed had made him realize his brother was never his enemy. Jayden was the one with the insecurity and he was the one that had harbored listening to the whispers of people who were practically just running their mouths.
Wheeling himself away from the phone, Jayden reached out to a glass of juice that he had poured himself. He picked up his phone again and he stared at the screen for a long while. He had been confined in the wheelchair since the incident and he hated everything and even himself the more.
Taking a deep breath, Jayden dropped the phone at first before pulling at the document on the table and a pen and he scribbled down his signature. Jayden picked up the phone again and he began to type.
After typing out several words, a smug smile grazed his face on what he had written and he clicked the send button.
Jayden dialed his physician line after some minutes passed in silence. ‘It’s time.’ He mumbled into the receiver.

MOON STONE FORTRESS
Jaylen raised his brow as Sebastian and Rex fumed at each other. The both of them have become more vocal about their feelings towards each other. It took Jaylen a whole year to realize the both of them actually indulge in a silent contest for his attention. It would have been nice to bask in if the both of them don’t act like children.
“Can you both keep your voice down? You are fathers and you still act like this.” Jaylen bellowed at them.
Sebastian smoothened his suit. “Soon to be.” He mumbled under his breath.
“And I am still an intending father!” Rex glared at Sebastian
Jaylen shook his head as he laughed both of his friends amuse him every time. Sebastian and Rosalyn had gotten married six months after they got engaged and she just got pregnant about six months back. Rex was waiting on Claire to turn twenty one before getting married to her. Jaylen felt it was a good idea, so as to tame her bratty nature and since he knows just how his sister can be.
He was about to say something when his phone message notification came in. Jaylen beamed widely when he realized the sender was no other than Jayden. But his smile dropped immediately when his eyes read the first line of the message.
Sebastian tapped at Rex to look at Jaylen. “What’s wrong man?” He asked.
Jaylen glanced up at them with tears in his eyes as he raised his phone up in the air. “Jayden.”
Not understanding what he meant, Rex snatched the phone from him and read it out loud.
Hey brother, if you are reading this I must be long gone. Now don’t panic, this isn’t about you or anyone. It is me deciding this is exactly what I want. Jaylen, I am grateful for your heart. You have been the only reason I have stayed alive for this past years. Not only did you love me wholeheartedly but you also made your family love me too. May the Moon Goddess bless Ramaya’s tender heart, that little girl would become a great woman. And for Lorelei, plead with her on my behalf to forgive me for being such an asshole in the past. She is a good one and I am glad you were the one who ended up with her. I love you too brother, maybe I have never got to say it to you. Every year I remembered the day you left the Fortress and deep within me I missed you so much but I was always too egoistic to admit the truth. I regret waiting till this point before admitting this to you. I hope this still covers up. About my death, I had asked for an assisted suicide from my physician and I promise it’s all legal. Some drug overdose and it will be all peaceful in the end. The inheritance document handover is on its way to you right now, I have signed everything all to Ramaya. Tell her uncle Jayden loves her very much and would love for her to grow into a wonderful person. Thanks for loving me brother. I love you right back. As you are getting this, Claire, mom and grandma too must have gotten theirs. Do take care of them and yourself too.
With love, Jayden.
Silence engulfed the whole room with each person’s panting heavily. Jaylen’s phone began to ring. It was mother was calling.
“She knows.” Jaylen gulped.
Claire barged into the study with her eyes darting around the room. “Jayden…” She sobbed. Rex stood up to hold her to himself immediately.
Lorelei had Ramaya on her side as she walked in. “What’s going on baby?” She inquired.
“Daddy!” Ramaya blurted out with her arms stretched out and wriggling against her mother.
Jaylen sighed heavily as he took Ramaya from his wife at the child’s insistence. He sniffed back his tears as he smiled at his daughter before burying his face in her fluffy hair.
“Jayden is with the Moon Goddess now baby…with the Goddess…” His voice broke off.
If his twin brother had finally found peace within himself and that was enough for him.

Chapter 1 The newly turned wolf
MYSTIC SHADOWS FORTRESS
Sometimes Logan Odell did hate his job, but can’t change anything or complain about it because he had worked so hard to get to this point. His butts burnt half way in a bid to prove himself that he is worthy to rule Mystic Shadows Fortress.
Staring down at the stack of files that laid in front of him, Logan growled inwardly at the realization that some of the other lesser packs weren’t paying their dues right. He snorted, thinking of how much they are all playing with fire and he wouldn’t hesitate to burn them.
Closing the files, Logan stood up to grab drink from the fridge he had purposely installed there for situations like this in his office. He felt exhausted by the work his Beta had compiled for him for the week. Removing the cap of the beer, he gulped the content with his hands in his pants pocket while watching the whole city as it bustled with activities. To deviate his attention whenever the work starts to get to him, all he does is that he stares out the thoughts taunting him.
Questions of if he was doing enough nagged at the back of his mind. His thoughts revolved around too much darkness and they had began to consume the totality of him.
Logan Odell had grown up knowing what if feels like to be neglected and treated like a nobody. His mother was an Omega wolf, discarded by her pack and later enslaved by the Alpha of the Mystic Shadows Fortress where she had him. Logan was born into a life of torture and slavery and being spat on by everyone despite his royal identity. The same man his mother loved dearly, he watched him put a silver blade through her heart and laughed deviously as she died. He hated his father with every fiber inside of him. However, he knew he had to stick to him just to gain the possession of being a prince-The Alpha Title.
Logan was doing great as an Alpha and he wished his mother was alive to see how far he had come and how much he had achieved in his life.
Logan Odell hated the idea of love. The struggle his mother had gone through made him believe loving someone was a weakness. No one ever respected the fact that he was a prince when he was little. But everything changed the moment he became the Alpha of Mystic Shadows. His late father being the descendant of a long lineage of first Lycans to ever walked the face of the earth had no other heir to take his place aside Logan.
So to keep people from running their mouths which ever way they like, Logan had braced up and made himself unaccessible, strict and tough skinned. He is less concerned with whatever it was anyone said and he ruled the pack with an authoritative type of rule. He got the derogatory label; The Ruthless Alpha. Logan is merciless, fierce and could kill anyone who gets in his way. He doesn’t care about other people’s emotions. Nothing freaked Logan and since he became the Alpha, he made sure the members of Mystic Shadows paid deeply for the humiliation they made he and his mother go through before her death….
