EPISODE HUNDRED AND THIRTY NINE
THEME: Blended Silver
MOON STONE FORTRESS
AT THE BORDER
Jayden turned and twisted on the bed as he tried to adjust his eyes to the room brightness and made an attempt to remember where he was. When his brain did reckon with it, he tried to sit up but his whole body ached badly at the effect. Jayden heaved a sigh as he stared out into space. The happenings of the day before came to his mind. He would never forget the embarrassment he was made to face.
His brain was fogged on what to do to get back to Jaylen and get everything that belongs to him and most especially Lorelei. He was no longer interested in the Alpha post considering the fact that the Fortress members themselves don’t want him there on that throne.
Jayden shut his eyes tightly as he tried to clear his mind. The door clicked open and when he reopened his eyes, he saw Lisa standing by the door.
“Hi Jayden. How was the rest?” Lisa questioned as she walked farther into the room and sat next to his legs.
Jayden smiled lightly. “I am fine I guess.”
“Are you sure?” She asked again.
Jayden nodded his head positively. “I feel quite better now.”
Lisa leaned towards him, letting her lips tickle his face before she whispered in his ears. “Let me know if you need anything else. I would be here to attend to you.” She winked.
Jayden grinned knowing exactly what she meant. As much as he would love such relief at the moment but there was a need for him to attend to more important things.
“Where is Liam?” He asked her.
“In his usual spot.” Lisa responded, slapping her butt as she stepped out of the room.
Jayden chuckled at how hard she was trying to seduce him. The last thing he needed was involve in anything that would make Lorelei have some doubts in him. He would gather the needed to help to get her back. If he wasted too much time, Jaylen would get married to her and end up owning all that he ever wanted.
Liam sat on a long couch with his arms and legs thrown out like he was drunk out of his mind. The thoughts of past years swirled through his mind most importantly the very year he had lost his father who was the leader of the Werewolf Rogues. His father only fought for recognition in the Moon Stone Fortress. He still couldn’t believe that the Moon Goddess had brought Jayden his way.
The day they had helped him out, the first time Jayden had come out to the borders, Liam had no clue who he was and they had only wanted to help a fellow werewolf out of depression. The moment he told his story, Liam believed his good deeds had earned him more than he can ever imagine and the Moon Goddess was surely on his side.
Liam chuckled to himself as he swirled a silver dust content in a small drug bottle around his finger. Glancing up towards the direction of footsteps, he grinned when Lisa walked towards him. One thing he took pride in was the beauty of his sister and he feels she deserves the very best of everything.
“How is my lovely sister doing?” He smiled widely.
“fNot bad.”
“Jayden? My dear baby sis.”
Lisa stared blankly at him, his flattery not moving her a bit. “He is awake now and would come to you soon.”
“That’s perfect. He is making his way just in time.” Liam said as he snapped his hands at a guard. “Get freshly made tea for me.”
“And what is that with you?” Lisa inquired about the bottle.
“Oh this?” Liam chuckled dryly. “This is the beginning of our revenge. Right here, is a fully blended silver bullet.”
Lisa gasped out in shock. She looked around fearfully and lowered her voice. “Why would you have such deadly thing with you?”
Every werewolf knew the effect of the silver bullet on them. No matter how powerful a werewolf is, he or she would go down the minute a silver bullet penetrates the fur and it is also known that the powdered form of the bullet causes damage to such person and its wolf.
“You would find out soon. Just wait and see.” Liam assured. “This is going to be fun!”
The guard returned some minutes later with the tray of tea and Jayden walked in just in time.
“Hello my dear friend! How are you feeling today?” Liam enthused.
Jayden smiled lightly. “Very well, thank you.”
“You should have some tea please.” Liam offered as he poured out the tea in a cup. And within some split seconds when he noticed Jayden wasn’t looking, he opened the small bottle he had in hand and poured a minimal amount of the blended silver in Jayden’s tea. “Here.” He handed it to him.
Jayden whose throat had been feeling dry gulped half of the cup at a go. “This taste really good. Thank you so much.”
“Anything to ensure you are well taken care of.” Liam winked at him.
They kept silent for a while before, Jayden sat up a bit with his expression serious. “Liam, how do you intend to help me out as it is? I would need your men to help execute the plan I have in mind.”
Liam sighed. “I understand how urgent this is to you but there is no way I can let my men go on a mission that isn’t well planned. You do know how tight and guarded the Fortress is so we would need someone from the inside to keep us informed, especially as regards getting to sneak into the Fortress. No one has ever been able to achieve it only if they have the secret passage map in hand.”
Liam’s words bothered Jayden a whole lot. He knows no one is willing to associate with him. As it is only a crazy person would and he isn’t familiar with such person. The secret passage was something he had learnt about the early years of him training to be an Alpha but had never been shown the map or the secret passage itself. No matter how much he pestered his father to, he never revealed it probably because he already knows the position wouldn’t be taken by Jayden.
“That would be hard.” He said.
“Then we would have to wait for something to happen.” Liam added.
Jayden’s phone rang. He had almost forgotten about the gadget. In his haze when he arrived at the place he had left it in the car but someone had left it next to him when he woke up. The caller was Juno.
Jayden groaned inwardly. ‘Let me answer this call real quick.’ He said.
“Take your time my dear friend.” Liam grinned a bit too widely which resulted in a glare from Lisa. “What?”
“What the hell is going on in that head of yours?” She mouthed.
Liam rolled his eyes. Sometimes he worries about how slow Lisa catches on things. He raised the bottle up. “You see this, it would be applied to any of his drink from now on and you will be the one to ensure he takes it.”
Lisa shook her head in disagreement. “It would cause him great harm so I don’t want to.”
“Now, enough of your tantrums, Lisa!” Liam gritted. “You would do what I ask you with no complain. Is that clear?” His face had morphed into an unfriendly one.
“But Liam-”
He cuts her off. “I am only doing this for us to have a good life.” Liam threw the bottle at her and he walked out of the room leaving Lisa disoriented.
