EPISODE HUNDRED AND THIRTY-FIVE
THEME: Jaylen’s Girl
MOON STONE FORTRESS
Rosalyn mumbled incoherent words under her breath as she made her way back to Jaylen’s room with Adriel’s clanking heels putting her on the edge as it made noise behind her. Opening up the door, she had hoped fervently that the view would sink Adriel’s heart. Unfortunately, Jaylen was on his feet standing by the window, while Lorelei sat on the couch.
“Jaylen!” Adriel screamed as she moved past Rosalyn and she ran towards Jaylen and hugged him tightly from behind.
Everyone looked on in shock except Rosalyn who looked bored. Jaylen hugged Adriel back stiffly as he glanced towards Rosalyn.
“I don’t know.” Rosalyn spread out her hands in rebellion.
Adriel moved a bit away from him and held his face. “What happened to you?”
Jaylen turned his head away from her hands. “Just a small fall. How did you get here Adriel? Did Rosalyn give you an address?” He inquired, shooting an intentional glare at an unbothered Rosalyn.
Adriel giggled as she moved away to take a seat on the tip of the bed. “You would be surprised to hear this, but I got a hold of Rosalyn’s location and google guided me here.”
Lorelei looked on in confusion as she stared between the duo. “Jaylen, who is she?” She mumbled in a hushed tone.
“Hey, I am Adriel, Jaylen’s girl!” Adriel announced herself causing more confusion.
Jaylen groaned inwardly. The last thing he needs is another added drama to the one he was already facing. He stared at Adriel in doubt, even though she had been acting a whole lot strange before he left Chicago, he was beginning to see it like she might be losing her mind for thinking that he wants her as his girl.
Jaylen glanced over at Lorelei as he decided to make a proper introduction but before he could do so, Lorelei stood up and stomped out of the room. He didn’t attempt to call her back, trying not to cause anymore misunderstanding.
“Rosalyn, please help Adriel to a room. You can ask one of the maids to show you an empty guest room.”
“I would love to spend some time with you.” Adriel said as she stood up to him.
Jaylen took a calculated step back. “I am not that free handed Adriel. It would be nice if you find some rest. I have some things to take care of.” He walked past her with his eyes still on Rosalyn. “Find me after this.” He mouthed.
Rosalyn threw her hands out again in annoyance. Everyone was beginning to get on her nerves and tagging herself with Adriel’s drama was the least of things she wanted to do.
“Let’s go please.” She called out to Adriel.
Luckily for her a maid walked towards them just in time. Rosalyn couldn’t be more relieved as she handed Adriel over and made an escape. To her delight, Sebastian still stood outside with Lorelei but this time Claire was standing with them. Rosalyn made a dramatic run towards them as she kept looking behind her like she was being pursued.
“Please get us out of here really quick. Please.” Rosalyn muttered as she hurried them up. They all got into the car in a disoriented state with Sebastian driving out of the pack house like they were on a run.
They all bursted into a fit of laughter at the diner when they had eventually made their way to it and after Rosalyn explained what she was running from.
“I can’t believe you acted that way. I was scared there for a moment.” Claire said as she stifled a laugh.
“I am really confused at this point. What exactly is going on and why are you looking so sad Lorelei?” Sebastian had a worried look on his face as he stared at his sister.
Lorelei smiled. “It’s fine Sebastian. I am just bothered about what happened. You all thought Jayden had slapped me the other time but his hand missed actually and I am fine. But I am more concerned about the new girl around now claiming to be Jaylen’s girl. Is it true?” She asked.
Rosalyn wiped at her forehead. “I would prefer you ask Jaylen that question. It’s not really my place to answer that. One thing I can tell you for sure is, I smell her bringing trouble and that’s a big deal at this point.”
Sebastian laughed loudly. “I can’t believe this. Just when I thought the drama was over.”
“I swear to you, this was unplanned. And where the hell is my goddamn phone?!” Rosalyn blurted as she searched her pocket for the phone. “Oh my! I had the location turned on truly. Jaylen would really have my head.” She groaned.
“What do you think would happen now with all this ruckus Sebastian?” Claire inquired. She had been a bit quiet.
“Trust Jaylen…he would sort it out.” Rosalyn assured.
“I am tired of having my brothers go for each other’s throat. No one knows where Jayden went to now and I am doubtful of him returning home anytime soon.”
They stayed quiet at that, knowing Claire was saying the truth. Things don’t seem like they would turn out fine soon. Exhaustion saddled Claire as it was frustrating to see her family reeling from one family issue to the other. They didn’t even get enough time span to mourn her dead father. Everything had been spiraling down since the very day her father got buried.
Jaylen’s state of mind bothered her the most. He had endured so much and still has to put up with a whole lot all because he has been tagged the chosen one.
“This isn’t how I plan my coming to the renowned Moon Stone Fortress to be. Like I have plans to enjoy every bit of it please.” Rosalyn let out, trying to lighten the mood.
“I almost forgot I made a promise to you.” Sebastian grinned.
Claire and Lorelei exchanged a mischievous glance.
“It’s not twenty four hours yet.” Lorelei stated with her eyes lingering between Sebastian and Rosalyn.
“I thought it was just me.” Claire grinned.
“Shut up you both!” Sebastian chuckled as he shook his head at a blushing Rosalyn.
“It’s not what you both think. I and Sebastian are just beginning to get along. Rex was suppose to show me around but he didn’t seem interested in doing so.”
Claire eyes shone brightly. “You know Rex?”
Rosalyn nodded. “He had come down to Chicago to find Jaylen. He is the main reason Jaylen is back home and we returned together.”
“I kinda like Rex.” Claire mumbled as she intentionally claimed her territory.
Lorelei and Sebastian chortled trying to hide it.
“I promise you, Claire. I have nothing doing with Rex.” Rosalyn assured. She got a picture of what Claire was trying to do.
Claire smiled widely. “Thanks for letting me know.”
The whole table burst out laughing as they called out to an available waiter to take their orders.
