EPISODE HUNDRED AND THIRTY-THREE
THEME: The Rogues Plans
MOON STONE FORTRESS
AT THE BORDER
Jayden drove roughly out of the Fortress with his eyes partially blinded by the dry blood on his face. His mind reeled from anger, exhaustion and frustration. He was feeling everything at the same time. The scene of his fight with Jaylen kept coming back to him and it was obvious that no one had any interest in coming to his rescue.
He felt more betrayed at the very thought of his mother not attempting to jump in the middle of it all. Gripping the steering hard, Jayden almost drove himself into a ditch as tears flowed freely down his face. His heart clenched at every breath and thought that his family were no longer concerned about what happens to him.
Turning off his ignition as he parked in front of the makeshift camp of the Rogues a certain peace dwelled inside of him. Staggering through the path that led to the entrance of Liam’s abode, they had dwelled in a nearby sole pack which they had taken over few miles away from the Moon Stone Fortress that had almost all of the wolves that had been regarded as the bad eggs of their packs most especially the Fortress filled up the place.
Jayden clearly remembered how tensed the Moon Stone pack was about fifteen years ago before it became a fortress. Due to the assault of the Rogues on the pack members, his father had fought hard against them but what they didn’t tell him was these same set of people have what he considered as a good heart and friendly welcoming. They helped him out when everything was about to end with him. No one could tell Jayden otherwise on who the Rogues are because he feels that he knows them well enough.
His steps were taken slowly due to the weakness in his leg. One of the ladies around named Lisa that had been giving him some sort of green light which he had been ignoring for a while came to his view.
“Jayden.” Lisa called out to him as she ran towards him when she noticed Jayden was almost about to collapse. She held onto his arms. “What the hell happened to you?”
Jayden didn’t get to respond as he fell into her arms weekly. He was extremely exhausted and had lost blood from the fight. Lisa called onto the available men around to help her get Jayden into Liam’s space. Liam who had just gotten off a sex adventure, with a towel around his waist ran towards the group bringing in Jayden.
“What the hell happened to him?” Liam bellowed as he tore out the shirt Jayden had on. “Get me some ice.”
Everyone ran helter skelter, adhering to Liam’s orders as they tried to revive Jayden and clean up his wounds. After what seem like a long minutes, Jayden was cleaned up and had a pack of ice resting on his head with a bowl of senate bean soup made with navy beans, ham hocks, and onion being fed to him.
“Did you get into an accident or something?” Liam winced at the swollen state of Jayden’s face.
Jayden sat up as he stared blankly at the wall. He remembered how happy he had been leaving the border this morning only to end up with a bruise that would definitely leave a huge scar on him for years to come.
“Jaylen is back.” He stated.
Liam turned his head to the side a bit. “So?”
“He is back to take the Alpha post and also be with the woman that I love.” Jayden explained.
Lisa hissed silently at Jayden’s last words. For the weeks that they have been getting to know each other, she had taken a keen interest in him. So hearing him speak passionately about someone else only irked her.
“Did you both get into a fight?” Liam asked
Jayden nodded in response. “I got wounded by him.”
Liam sucked in a deep breath. “How could you let him get into you this much? Your brother clearly wants you dead!” He fueled.
His plan was to get into Jayden’s head. There is a need for himself and the rest of the Rogues to get back into the Fortress cause there wasn’t much for them to do anymore outside of it. There was a deep hatred and need to get back at the Fortress members for tossing them out which included his now dead parents. He hadn’t forgotten all that had transpired between Alpha Carl and the wolves he had thrown out of the pack. Probably it was time to really get back his glory.
His father had tried overthrowing Alpha Carl but that was because they felt he wasn’t capable enough. Even though they had been defeated by the Alpha which proved he was capable of running the pack, the urge for revenge was still just as strong.
“That wasn’t the case he got me unaware.” Jayden tried to bluff.
“What do you have in mind to do?”
“Plan an attack against him and get what belongs to me.” Jayden bickered.
“I would surely help you with that, trust me. But try to get some sleep first.” Liam advised as he urged Jayden towards the resting room.
“What’s going on in that head of yours?” Lisa asked her brother.
Lisa knew Liam would never play nice with anyone unless it would be of good use to him. And his relationship with the unwanted son of the Moon Stone Fortress was quite suspicious. Liam grinned as he walked towards the mini bar to pour himself a glass of wine.
He smiled against the glass rim. “How many years has it been since we have been running for our lives to protect ourselves and stay alive?”
“More than a decade.” Lisa answered as she rolled her eyes.
“I can feel it now sister. Now is the time we need to get our glory back and we can get this through Jayden. He is our ticket to ruling the Moon Stone Fortress. You know what that means? More power and money.”
“Don’t get too ahead of yourself, you don’t know if he would get back to his senses when he wakes up.”
“Which is why you would need to make him comfortable and soothe his worries.” He winked.
“I am not going to throw myself at anyone to satisfy your greed.” Lisa countered.
Liam chuckled. “Come on, don’t act like you haven’t been making advances at him. This is your chance and I am sure you want a princess room and treatment than what you have now.”
Lisa snickered. “Whatever!”
“Do this for us baby sis. We deserve a good life too.” Liam said in a tight whisper.
Lisa huffed as she walked out on him. Liam grinned in delight and slowly began to hum a happy tune to himself.
