The vote came out to be a draw, the amount that voted for Lord Dimitri was still the same amount that voted for Charles, Lord Dimitri couldn’t believe that his own council actually considered what his brother Charles said, after all the werewolves had done for them, how their allies went well with no issues. It was said that there will be a fight.
Lord Dimitri and Charles stood side by side as they listened to the announcement that would determine the fate of their clan. The tension in the air was palpable as their fellow vampires gathered around, waiting to see who would emerge victorious in the fight to become the leader of their clan.
One of the council members, a stern-looking vampire with piercing eyes, stepped forward to make the announcement. “There has been a disagreement and with everything at hand we have come to an agreement, there will be a fight for the Clan between Lord Dimitri and his brother Charles”.
There was a murmur of excitement and anticipation in the crowd, some angry at the thought of his brother just coming back and now wants to stir up trouble. The decision of who would be the new leader of their clan was a serious matter, one that would shape their future.
“To determine who will be the new leader,” the council member continued, “there will be a fight. The winner of this fight will automatically become the new leader of our clan.”
Lord Dimitri and Charles looked at each other, their eyes reflecting the gravity of the announcement. They had always been close, but now they found themselves on opposite sides of the battle. They both wanted to be the leader of the clan, to have the power to make the decisions that would shape their future. Lord Dimitri thought for a second that his brother will back down and end this madness but his brother never did.
The afternoon/evening air was still, a cold breeze rustling the nearby trees. Charles and Lord Dimitri stood in the clearing, the slow sun illuminating their pale faces. Each of them was a vampire, and a fierce battle was about to take place. Lord Dimitri was the first to make a move, lunging forward and sinking his teeth into Charles’ neck. Charles responded by quickly knocking Dimitri back with a powerful strike, sending him flying into a nearby tree. Dimitri wasted no time in retaliating, leaping forward and clawing furiously at Charles’ face. Charles retaliated with a powerful kick to Dimitri’s stomach, but the vampire was too fast, dodging the attack and lunging forward with more ferocity. Charles and Lord Dimitri clashed with each other, neither of them able to gain the advantage. Lord Dimitri had beat and hit Charles so hard on his nose that a crack sound was heard. Charles touched his nose, feeling blood flow and it made him mad, he attacked his brother with so much anger and distaste, to the extent that Lord Dimitri was actually thinking of how he’s brother felt that way towards him. Was Charles not the same brother that he hugged and had fun with few days ago? How come he has become like this?. Lord Dimitri didn’t like all this, one bit but he had too fight for his Clan.
The fight dragged on, each of them becoming more and more desperate with each passing moment. Finally, Charles managed to land a powerful punch to Dimitri’s face, sending him sprawling to the ground. Charles quickly pounced on top of Lord Dimitri, raining down punches and kicks on him. Blood flew everywhere, painting the clearing with its crimson hue. Charles continued his onslaught, not relenting until Dimitri was lying motionless on the ground. After what seemed like an eternity, the battle was finally over. Charles had emerged victorious, the victor in this bloody fight between two vampires. As he looked around at the carnage he had caused, he couldn’t help but feel a sense of satisfaction. He had defeated Lord Dimitri, and no one could deny it.
As Charles stood over Lord Dimitri’s motionless body, he could feel the eyes of the other vampires upon him. They had gathered to witness the battle, curious to see which of the two powerful vampires would emerge victorious. Charles looked around, his eyes meeting those of his fellow vampires. Some of them looked impressed, while others looked disappointed that their favored fighter had lost.
Suddenly, a loud applause broke out, and Charles turned to see one of his friends walking towards him. He had a smirk and wide smile on his face as he congratulated Charles, feeling proud.
“Well done, Charles,” he said, his voice dripping with admiration. “You have proven yourself to be a worthy adversary and served him right “.
Charles bowed his head respectfully and playfully this friend, “I aim to please”.
Slowly it was announced that Charles was the new Leader of the Black Fangs Clan and some people cheered why some just stared, slowly everyone started leaving going back to their various homes and duties.
Charles was lost in victory, no one seemed to notice that Lord Dimitri was no longer where he was before. When it dawned on Charles that his brother’s dead body was still outside and he sent people to retrieve it and bury somewhere, they came back saying that they hadn’t seen him. That was weird, Charles thought but maybe he turned into ashes.
Meanwhile, Lord Dimitri, injured and hurt, not matter to move well was still alive , he manage to survive all the blows and punches his younger brother gave to him, the shame he felt and how weak and vulnerable he felt. Lord Dimitri took up all his strength and left the clan, going to find refuge somewhere for the meantime.
And while at that Charles celebrated his victory and the set up a plan for the werewolves.
“Is everything set?”, He asked as they all prepared for what they planned for the werewolves.
“Yes Sir”, the replied respectfully.
“Good”, Charles nodded, “we are going to bring them down”.
