“We should leave”, Alex suggested as I agreed and we both got into the car. I still felt like someone or something was following us or something, I don’t know how but that feeling was still there.
“I feel like someone is on our trail, the person might not be seen but I want you to drive like you don’t want us to be followed”, I told the driver/guard and he got to it. It was like we were running or trying to loose someone or something we weren’t not seeing. We needed to keep such danger away from the pack. For what it’s worth it could even be that lone vampire.
“Let’s call Caleb now”, I informed Alex, taking out my phone, searching for Caleb’s number and then called him. It rang a few times before someone picked up.
“Hey Caleb”, I and Alex greeted.
“Yo wassup?”, Caleb asked us, you could here the happiness in his voice.
“We good Caleb, just that the situation on ground. I’m sure you have heard about it?”, I asked to confirm and he approved that he has.
I asked him if he by any chance knew what it was but he didn’t have an idea and that was a bummer.
“Guys just be careful and stay safe, your Dad was here earlier to speak to Lord Dimitri but Lord Dimitri didn’t have much knowledge about the stuff. This is definitely serious than expected”, Caleb concluded on the phone as we all agreed.
“Yeah we will bruh, thanks for that and you also stay safe”, we said they him, saying our goodbyes and ending the call.
We were still heading back to the Pack when Alex, picked up his phone and dialed a number, I wonder who he’s calling now.
“Hey, have you gotten home safely?”, I heard him ask while smiling. Hehe who could that be now, if not Charlotte.
They talked for a while and I couldn’t help but smirk. Alex seemed to fancy the girl. Finally the call ended and he was still smiling.
“I don’t know how you can smiling when we are in a situation like this”, I said to him, pretending to be the most serious person on Earth.
“Well there are certain people that can make one smile in times like that, so don’t even get me started”, he backfired, earning a chuckle from me.
“I see you fancy her or should I say like her, like more than a friend”, I pressed on the topic and turned to face him.
“Well yes I think I do but I don’t know, I feel a connection but I’m not sure if she’s my mate or not. Just don’t want to rush anything”, Alex sounded a bit worried on the topic.
Most times liking someone who’s not your mate can be full of drama and then maybe you like the person and then you find your mate and all that. It just causes so much drama.
Like now, as we werewolves are creatures that possess the ability to shift between human and wolf form. So I can understand why Alex was a bit concerned, he didn’t want to fall and he also wanted to fall totally for this girl but he had to straighten things out , in order for things to go smoothly.
I gave him a pat on the shoulder, assuring him that everything will go fine and will be that fine, he just shouldn’t over stress much on it.
We reached back home and I told Alex to be very careful as he went back to his house and I went into mine. Getting inside I could see everyone gathered in the sitting room, my mum, auntie’s, uncle Liam, my dad, everyone. The tension was visible. Everyone looked at me, my mum looked very sad. What’s happening? I hope someone didn’t die or something.
“What’s wrong?”, I questioned concerned, “did someone die?”.
“No son”, my dad answered , stepping over to me, “the thing is that, your aunt Nara will be here soon”.
I looked at them confused, “how is that a problem?”.
