MARCELLUS POV :
I didn’t even need to retaliate because Alex had already done it. Charlotte was at our front, the Alex , before me then. So when the guy did that to her, within splits seconds, Alex pushed him out of the line, earning some looks and gasps. The boy almost fell but was able to stand his ground. He then walked up to Alex like he was about to start a fight, then I stepped in.
“You should leave or go to the end of the line. Thank you kind sir”, I told him firmly with a hint of sarcasm laced on my voice.
“Your the new kid right, thinking you can do whatever you like”, he said to me with the aim of scaring me but this human boy didn’t know what he was doing at all.
I didn’t need to even answer that silly question, it’s not something worth my time. I went over and helped Charlotte up, and took her back to our line. The boy then left, going back and asking another student to give him, his or her spot, pfft.
The food at the school looked very rich and nice. I would say I didn’t expect that though but i didn’t mind either. Totally love it, at least I won’t have to eat anything that will make me purge hopefully.
We walked down the line, peering at each dish and deciding what we wanted to eat.
Charlotte, who seemed like she was adventurous and loved trying new things, went first in line and decided to try the special of the day, a hearty chicken and vegetable stew. The rich, savory broth was filled with tender chunks of chicken, carrots, potatoes, and celery. It was served with a crusty piece of bread, perfect for dipping into the delicious stew. She looked impressed by the presentation and eager to dug into it. Though she waited for us.
Next up was Alex, who was a bit more conservative when it came to food or not. Whatever he feels like though. He stuck with what he knew and went for a classic cheeseburger and fries. The patty was juicy and cooked to perfection, topped with melted cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, and pickles. The fries were crispy and seasoned just right. Alex was in food heaven and looked happy with his food.
Finally, it was my turn to choose. I was always up for trying something new and went for the beef stroganoff. It was a creamy sauce with tender strips of beef, served over a bed of egg noodles. The dish was garnished with a sprinkle of parsley, and I was impressed by the presentation. I took a spoonful right there and was pleasantly surprised by the rich, savory flavor. I confess, I couldn’t wait to dive in and enjoy the rest of his lunch.
The three of us, Alex, I and Charlotte walked out of the cafeteria with our trays of food, eager to find a place to sit and enjoy our meal together. We scanned the room, taking in the crowded tables and noisy chatter of the students around us. It wasn’t overly noisy though. Just some talks here and there and other stuff. Not bad I guess.
“Let’s try over there,” suggested Alex, pointing to a table near the window with a beautiful view of the campus.
“Good idea,” Charlotte said, leading the way. But as we approached, we saw that the table was already occupied by a group of students.
Undeterred, we continued our search, weaving in and out of the crowded tables. We passed by several groups of students who were huddled together, laughing and chatting over their food.
Finally, we spotted a medium size table in the corner of the room that was unoccupied. We quickly made our way over, eager to claim it before anyone else could.
As we sat down, we let out a collective sigh of relief. The table was the perfect size for the three of us and maybe more but it was perfect for us three and offered just enough privacy from the noise of the cafeteria.
We settled in, taking a moment to savor the aroma of our food before digging in. As we ate, we chatted and laughed, discussing our classes and plans for the weekend.
The table in the corner proved to be the perfect spot for us to enjoy our meal and each other’s company. We were grateful to have found such a peaceful oasis in the midst of the busy cafeteria.
As we finished our food and leaned back in our chairs, we realized that this medium table in the corner would become our go-to spot whenever we wanted to eat and catch up with each other, hopefully cause it was a real nice spot.
We all talked and introduced ourselves properly, I and Alex kept out the wolves part. Charlotte was a really nice and kind girl, also fun to talk with. She had brown curly hair and she’s black and also very pretty, with average height.
She then said something that surprised us, “I’m a werewolf and I know you are too”.
“Umm what do you mean?”, I and Alex pretended to be confused but obviously it didn’t work.
“I know your a werewolf”, she said smiling.
“Ohh well we thought you were human”, I replied but she shooked her head, explaining that she was from the Hale Pack.
“But how come you let that boy treat you like that and also no one from the Hale Pack came to help you?”, Alex asked a bit curious.
“It’s not like they won’t help, they have though but I guess some think it’s easy to ride on me, both humans. Plus I’m an Omega”, Charlotte said with a soft smile.
“Being an Omega isn’t a bad thing Charlotte, it’s also very nice and cute and looking at you, you don’t deserve to be looked down on because of your nature or how you are. I want you to be able to stand up for yourself of course”, I assured her, Alex agreeing also.
She looked up at us, “I Know, but-“.
