ALPHA AIDEN’S POV :
I was taken aback by what Davina had just said, Camille a descendant. Well that was a good thing as it will save us the trouble of looking for one. Liam also had a shocked look on his face as he looked at Camille.
“But how sure are you?” I asked to confirm.
“I’m very sure, but what I don’t know is how she is a descendant . Though that’s for later”. Davina said assuring me.
“Sorry I didn’t mean to interrupt, but what’s going?” Camille asked , looking confused as ever. Davina told her to sit as she explained everything for Camille but in a short form , Davina told her how we will need her blood and all to save the kids. Camille didn’t hesitate to agree.
Davina then pulled out a small, intricately designed knife from her cloak. She muttered something in a language we all couldn’t understand, and then carefully made a small cut on Camille’s palm. Camille flinched at the initial sting of the knife, but it quickly dissipated as Davina held a small container beneath Camille’s hand to catch the flowing blood.
Camille is a werewolf and her body would heal the cut almost instantly. Her blood held a special power, passed down through her family for generations, ancestors. It was a surprise to me but also a good thing.
Davina carefully capped the container and smiled at Camille. “Thank you, my dear,” she said. “This blood will be the key ingredient in a powerful spell. I assure you, it will be used for good.”
Camille nodded, “I trust you and I’m glad I could help” Camille said. “Is there anything else I can do to help?”
Davina shooked her head. “Your part is done” she said to Camille as she put the container of blood in a safe place in her bag.
Camille cleared up the dishes as soon as we were done and washed everything up. I showed Davina and Liam to the room they would be staying in for tonight each as I went back to my own room.
Laila was already asleep when I got in and I didn’t want to wake her up but she stirred and opened her eyes, staring at me.
“My apologies, I didn’t mean to wake you up” I said to her as I started preparing for the tonight.
She sat up and yawned saying, “it’s fine. Is everything okay now?” She asked but I shooked my head.
“It’s just the beginning Laila but we will get there and end everything. Don’t worry yourself, Goodnight” I stated as I went into the bathroom.
Tomorrow is going to be a long long day for we all.
The morning sun was just beginning to peek over the horizon as I and my Beta, the the witch Davina, along with a small group of warriors, set out on our journey. I had chosen most of my trusted members to accompany us on the journey.
We made our way through the rolling hills and grassy meadows. Davina led the way, as she was the one with the knowledge, guiding us towards out destination. As we journeyed deeper into the forest, the trees grew denser and the sunlight filtered through the leaves above, casting dappled shadows on the forest floor.
The warriors, all strong and experienced fighters, kept a watchful eye out for any danger. My Beta close to my side. We followed Davina, her eyes scanning the trees for any sign that it was indeed the right part.
As the hours passed, the forest grew darker and more foreboding. We pressed on, our determination to uncover the secrets of the forest driving us forward. Soon we found ourselves standing before a clearing. In the center of the clearing stood a gnarled and ancient tree, its branches twisted and bent in strange and eerie shapes, bones tied to it.
“We are here” Davina stated as we started hearing voices. We hid at the back of some huge trees as we watched our targets. We saw like up to 10 people, surrounding an altar with a man in front. I take it, that would be the Leader.
“It’s time” As Davina said that, we charged with speed , slaying throats and fighting, ripping out heads and snapping necks.
“Quick, get the children” I ordered as some of my warriors started carrying the kids and taking them back to the tree side where we hid.
We had killed all the followers of the Hollow.
“Aaaahhhhhhhhhh” I turned to see the Leader who used he’s magic to pull Liam to him. I’m not loosing anyone today, I said to myself as I charged at the leader with full force , with the aim of killing him. Finally I slit his throat as he fell down on the ground, lifeless.
I helped Liam up as we were about to move. Suddenly a flame of fire surrounding us in a circle form , where we couldn’t move. Then a force pulled us to the Altar, making us fall on our knees as we looked at the blue light that shined so bright.
Then I remembered what Davina had told us. “Close your eyes” I screamed at Liam as we both shut our eyes.
While we stayed there unable to move. We heard chanting , that should be Davina.
” *spiritès pontentiÃ¥m pèr dîvíñam chècce operór estas cantanodèrasta*” She said as her voice increased with power as she screamed out the words from her mouth with so much power.
There was a heavy wind that blew and the grounds shook as she started saying another thing.
” *Chretshs tès grâvérturîôus silent*”.
And suddenly there was no noise anymore. I moved my hand to see if I can move and I did.
“Liam open your eyes , it’s done” I told him as we stood up. The flames were quenched.
“Let’s get out of here” I told everyone as we left to were the kids were.
“They aren’t awake and what’s that on their forehead?” I asked Davina getting worried.
“Don’t worry, I’ll erase it” she said as she knelt down in front of each kids, rubbing her hands together and muttering something. Each kids woke up when she was done with them.
We assured all of them that they were okay as we carried them back home. Getting back to the pack, everyone hailed and chanted happily, parents hugged their kids , grateful that they were back safely.
“Thanks for your help Davina” I appreciated as I watched the scene in front of me.
“It’s something worth doing” she said as she left to her home.
