CHAPTER SIXTY NINE

Book:Claimed By The Ruthless Alpha Published:2024-5-31

ALPHA AIDEN’S POV :
“That’s a good start, so how do we get them out and kill the Hollow?” I asked her.
“There’s only one way to defeat the Hollow, is to get the blood of a powerful descendant, if we could get it, I know a spell that I’ll add it too that will kill the Hollow forever” she explained.
“But how do we get it now?” I questioned. We have a start and we had no start at all, so complicated.
“That is what I don’t know Alpha, that’s what I dunno”. She said sounding annoyed by it. We didn’t have much time, before they will do something to those kids.
“Let’s all go over to my house, then by tomorrow morning we go to search for a descendant and bring back those kids safely” I offered as she nodded her head. She packed a few things that she would use, we were about to leave when I remembered the Lady.
“What about her? I asked Davina as I pointed to the Lady who had fainted.
“She will stay here till we are back, don’t worry. I also put her in a deep sleep” she stated as we made our way to my house, shutting everything down.
Meanwhile,
The leader, a powerful sorcerer, led the group of kidnapped children through the dark, underground tunnels. The children, who ranged in age from five to thirteen, were all bound and gagged, with fear etched on their faces. They had been taken from their homes in the middle of the night and brought to this unknown place, where they were now being led to an unknown fate.
As they approached the altar of the Hollow, the leader could feel the power emanating from the place. This is the beginning of a new life for all of them and he was looking forward to it and in that time, had become one of its most powerful servants. He knew that the Hollow would be pleased with the offering of these innocent children.
He stepped up to the altar, and with a wave of his hand, the children all fell into a deep sleep. They lay motionless on the altar, their breaths slow and steady. The leader then began to perform the ritual, chanting ancient words and making intricate gestures with his hands and marking the children with a sign on their heads.
ALPHA AIDEN’S POV :
As we made our way back to my house, we made small talks on how everything will be and all.
“Note the Hollow is a blue light, you will know when you see it” Davina warned us and also warned us not to stare into the light for too long.
She also showed us a sign the Hollow left behind. It was as if the Hollow wanted us to know she was back. Davina explained the sign, it was a snake curved in a way that it’s own tail was in its mouth, she called it the Ouroboros – which means Concept of entity and endless return or infinity , rebirth, no beginning, no end (Immortal).
It was already very late, by the time we got back to my house. I thought everyone would be asleep but then Camille stepped out.
“Alpha” she greeted as she also greeted the witch and Liam.
“I thought you would be asleep by now” I said as we all walked inside.
“You didn’t finish your food so I had to wait till you were back to confirm and serve your dinner” she explained.
“Well now I’ll need you to prepare something for all three of us” I ordered as I took the people with me to the dinning room and we sat on the the chairs in the dinning.
“Please make yourself comfortable and welcome to my home” I told them smiling as they returned my smile.
We were discussing, when Camille came in and served the food which she had prepared for us and also some juice too. I think this is the first time she has cooked something, cause I can’t remember eating her food hmm. It looks good too I would say.
She stood there, waiting for us.
“You made this?” I asked her to be sure.
She nodded her head, “yes Alpha”.
“Mmm you did good” I complimented. She looked surprised as she thanked me, I guess I’m in a good mood.
I noticed that the witch kept staring at Camille and most time glances. She would stare at her as if she was studying something very important.
I watched as her eyes remained fixed on Camille who was standing not too far from us. Davina didn’t seem to notice I was watching her. I cleared my throat, trying to catch her attention, but she seemed lost in thought. Liam also turned and looked at her, then traced her eyes to where she put so much concentration on.
He turned to me and gave me a look of what’s going on? But I just shrugged.
“Is everything okay?” I asked, confusion in my voice.
Davina blinked a few times, as if coming out of a trance, and turned to look at me. “Yes, I’m fine,” she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
I wasn’t convinced. I could see how she stared at Camille with so much purpose in her eyes. “You’ve been staring at the girl for quite some time,” I said. “Is there something you want to tell me?”
“I’m not sure but there’s something about that girl” she said thinking deeply.
“What do you mean about that?” I asked Davina, trying to understand all she was saying.
“Can I speak to her ?” She asked me , waiting for my permission.
“Of course” I answered, as I turned and called Camille, gesturing for her to come.
Davina stood up to meet Camille as Camille came closer.
“Can I see your hand?” Davina asked Camille. Camille looked at me unsure of what to do.
“Show her your hands Camille” I said firmly as she did, she brought out her hands and showed it to the witch in her front.
Then Davina placed her hands on Camille’s own, after some seconds she gasped and turned to us on the dining.
“We do not need to look further for a descendant because we just found one”.
