Lucas nestled his eyes on Sia’s phone while his mind raced with thoughts. Sia was a beat worried. She wondered why Lucas felt a sting when she mentioned the password but the real reason she chose it as a password is never to be shared even with the man whom she created that life with.
She has already made a decision of burying whatsoever that will stir memories about the night her little, ray of hope was confiscated by death.
She doesn’t want to weigh the blame on Lucas but she’s helpless. That need to nestle this blame on someone rises strictly in her chest.
Celine’s last words enveloped her eardrums…
“Why did you choose that as your…password?” Lucas’s voice cut through her thoughts.
Sia directed her gaze back at him and cleared her throat. “Nothing special. Just casually typed in the numbers as my password. Why? Any problem?”
Sia spared him a look, thinking what Lucas’s suspicion are that warranted the question. The essence of this reunion is to rebuild their trust but right now, it seems they both already have a cockroach in the cupboard, one they wouldn’t let out easily.
Lucas breathes a laugh, a subtle attempt to brush off the question that slipped off Sia’s lips. This is a question he’d like to knit answers to.
He truly wants to know why Hera researched about Nica’s birthday and what relationship does it have with Sia using it as a password.
Well, the possibilities of being the truth are zero ’cause Sia definitely doesn’t know the girl he’s thinking about.
‘And Sia was never…ugh!’ He mentally face-palmed, gushing a frustrated gasp inwardly. Lucas thinks he’s stupid for ever thinking that Sia has anything to do with Nica that’s why she selected Nica’s birthday as her own password.
Weird. He breathes out.
“Uh…no problem at all. I just assume it has a similarity to Danika’s password as well. You know the shit with coincidence.” The lies trailed off Lucas’s lips, but sure enough, he simmered it as the truth.
Sia gushes a small laughter, finally coming to terms that Lucas doesn’t know the real truth behind her choosing those numbers as her password.
Peeling off the Island, Sia bustled around to get the pancake ready while Lucas took charge of handling her phone. The cluster of cracks on the cell’s screen made it a little hard to skim through the phone so Sia told him not to worry ’cause she’ll order a brand new Apple phone.
While they were cracking jokes and nipping on the pancakes Sia made, she quickly placed an order for a new phone.
Lucas, however, enjoyed Sia’s pancakes and handmade Orange juice. It’s been forever since he had last tasted Sia’s food.
Of course, he hasn’t forgotten about her mother’s wish to become a chef and have a restaurant. The moment Lucas remembered that a thought crossed his mind and he asked.
“Do you own ‘Anything
For Macalister?'” Lucas asked. He remembered the first day he stepped foot into the restaurant. He had this inkling it had something to do with Sia. Although she isn’t the only one that goes by the name but that flutter in his stomach couldn’t cease.
Nodding her head, Sia regarded him from over her lashes and explained. “Monson built it as a surprise for me after I told him my mum actually wanted to be a chef.” She said, guzzling the juice she trailed to the seam of her lips.
“Was he aware?” The question rolled off Lucas’s lips without him giving it a much-needed thought.
However, Sia provided answers to his question. “Yeah, he does. He knew how the whole Macalister family was wiped out. We had Raymond investigate the case. It’s a crime of arson. Someone definitely has a hand in it.”
The name that skitters off Sia’s lips had Lucas bulging his eyes. He began wondering if this Raymond Sia’s referring to is the same guy he saw with Hera.
‘Something’s off. So off.’ He murmured, .
“Raymond?” He asked, not wanting to sound weird or implant fear inside Sia. “Has this Raymond found anything?” He curtly added.
Sia gave him a shrug. “He hasn’t actually. Said no clue has been found. But he at some time mentioned something like, it might be that my father owed a mafia which warranted the arson.”
Lucas jerked his head backward at the mention of mafia. That thickness began forming in his throat and the flutter stirred deep in his stomach. “I doubt this has anything to do with mafia. It’s more than it meets the eye.” Lucas muttered but loud enough for Sia to hear. She was on the verge of spilling answers to his words when the ringing of the bell distracted them.
“The phone is here…” Sia gushed curtly and shot to her feet. On a whim, she stood by the gate, signing the papers and taking the new iPhone thirteen. Sauntering backward, she got a glimpse of the worry that taut Lucas’s jaw.
When she tried to ask Lucas bit her to it and took the phone from her hands to examine it. He helped Sia set the phone and they both cleared the dining before chattering all day about the things they missed from their past.
Lucas somehow avoided expressing his sexual urges to Sia so as to not scare her off but Sia already has her plans.
By nightfall, at exactly 9p. m, Sia skittered to the pool when Lucas offered to help her arrange her room. On assembling by the pool, she peeled off her negligee and in a cat-walk manner, plunged into the warm water, stark naked.
She took different strokes, expressing her swimming skills but was interrupted when her phone pinged. Swimming close to it, Sia picked it up and read the message Estrella dropped.
“Guess what?”
“What?”
“Ethan and the guys are seriously planning on a cruise trip. Jesus Sia, I can’t imagine having sex in a ship, surrounded by aqua blue waters.”
“Sounds awesome. Time to fuck Ethan’s rains off.”
“Oh, you definitely know me. I’m so not going to let him rest.”
“Have fun? Oh, please. This is so going to be the time best you and Lucas get closer to each other. And for the damn record, he’s among those planning for the cruise trip. Ethan, Lucas, and Adriano.”
“What…?”
Sia wasn’t able to send the last response ’cause she felt a pair of callused hands cup her breast from behind and a hard-on pressed on the small of her back.
The contact sent balls of tingles down her body, goosebumps cloth her skin as Lucas dipped his mouth close to her ear and his baritone voice made its way down her eardrums.
“You…fucking testing me, Sia?” His voice is gruff with need. If Sia was testing whether he’d stand not touching her for long then Lucas assumes he already failed the test.
When he walked outside the house and toward to pool and beheld Sia naked in the pool, her underwear and negligee lying beside the pool, a gust of hunger stormed inside him.
His cock he’s been trying to kill, sprang up threatening to tear off its restraints.
He couldn’t rein on the need roving inside him as the water mirrors Sia’s sexy, voluptuous hips. Lucas instantly pared his clothes, letting it fall beside Sia’s.
Before submerging into the pool, he clasped her underwear and smelled her musky scent which sparked more fire of need inside him.
In a heartbeat, he already swum close to Sia, gripped her breast, and gave her rounded nipples a slight tug, sending a wave of sexual tension inside Sia.
“Lucas…don’t refrain yourself…” She murmured as she dropped her cell to bask in the glory of the suffocating pleasure. “Touch me please.” She implored.
