Chapter 123. Startled

Book:Your Days Are Numbered Mr. CEO Published:2024-5-31

Lucas showed up at the Monson villa as Sia invited him the following day. Sia wants to catch up on the things she literally missed about him and it was indeed a success.
Lucas told her how he went searching the whole city in search of her, and how he and Danika were sent to Rimini a few months after their engagement. He sputtered in details what they did, though based on pressure because he doesn’t want to lose the contract.
He clued her in on how thoughts about her glued to his mind the entire time and how he mistakenly had sex with Danika consequent to the fact that he was drunk and literally thought Danika was her.
“She got me drunk that day. I wasn’t myself at all.” He told her. “I first took two shots which is the normal shot I take but Danika gathered everyone’s attention at the club when she got a handle on the microphone. She said, she wants to play truth or dare with her fiancé.”
Lucas shook his head when as he uttered this. “Everyone’s attention was channeled at me. I was mortified. I chose dare and that’s how it started. I took thirty-five shots of Martini at the club. In my oblivious state, she took me back to our Hotel in Rimini and fuck!”
His hand scroll down his cheek to his jaw as repulsion crossed over his features.
“Sia, I’m so sorry to say this…” He dropped his voice to a whisper before uttering, “I ate her pussy thinking it was you. I fucked her…raw. In hopes it was you. But everything cleared when I woke the next morning and saw her lying naked beside him.”
Lucas went on and on sprinkling all the things that will hinder the process of this reunion. He wants to gain Sia’s trust more than anything.
He welcomed every question Sia threw his way. And equally gave her an honest answer. Sia can’t deny she didn’t catch up on many things with him. Because she really did.
However, she didn’t say anything about herself. She wanted to say something but Sia only sees the flaws, the misery, and the pains that spattered her parts. She intentionally avoided any subject that relates to her.
Michelle watched them talk, giggle and stroll around the villa and she couldn’t help but wonder who Lucas really is to Sia.
However, later that day, Sia revealed most things to Michelle, exempting the touchy parts.
Yesterday, Sia said what surprised all the servants in the villa, including Michelle. She ordered them to assemble at the cabanas and as per her order, everyone was present.
“I’m giving y’all two days off. Go home and spend some time with your lover and family.” She said to them and the astonishment that ate them was beyond words.
When Michelle wanted to object, Sia flipped her hand, silencing Michelle. At that moment, Michelle knew this had something to do with Lucas. She couldn’t object because she knows in all spheres Lucas is better than Silas.
As Sia ordered, everyone exited the villa and it’s only Sia left. She wants today to be just her and Lucas alone. She wants to enjoy their company as they did back then when they’d visit a quiet park and savor the silence that fleets the air.
Savor their hearts beating at a controlled rate and their scents penetrating the pores of their mind. That’s exactly what Sia wants.
She woke up to a serene house, only she and Fur occupied the silent villa.
Sia filed down to the kitchen to make something for breakfast so she and Lucas will bite on but not before going through her morning routine.
She was draping the towel over her waist when her phone pinged. She grabbed it and read the text from Lucas.
“sorry, I’m going to be a little late. I need to take my car for repair.”
“Ok.”
“I hope you ain’t pissed? Will surely be there once they’re done.”
“Fine.”
Sia glanced at the wall clock and twitched her lips. “7:30 am.” She muttered before pulling out all the ingredients she’ll need to make a pancake.
Fur dallied around the kitchen as Sia mixed her ingredients together for the pancakes. Before frying them, she decided to make some Orange juice like she does for Lucas years ago.
Sia’s culinary skill isn’t as good as her mother’s but she did learn a lot from her.
Her phone bleeped again this time, it’s a FaceTime from Estrella. Groaning, Sia swiped the receiver and Estrella’s voice streamed in.
“Hey, girl.”
Sia waved slightly at the screen as she tried to set the phone on the Island with the support of a gallon of vegetable oil while sieving her oranges.
She spotted Estrella with her thick, leather jacket breathing heavily as she saunters across the road. The air slams across her hair. The skin on Estrella’s face shriveled as she took in Sia’s backdrop.
“Wait are you in the kitchen, Sia?”
Her question made Sia feel a beat embarrassed. Does she really have to ask such a question in the public?
Sia’s smile faded as she rolled her eyes. “Yes, why?” She asked, homing her eyes back on the juice filter.
“Why? Omigod, Sia. I can’t remember the last time I saw you in the kitchen. Wait a minute…why am I not seeing any servant behind you. Are you there alone?” Estrella droned on with her annoying questions.
It aches Sia that Estrella finds a way to notice everything she does. Even if she keeps it all bottled up Estrella will definitely find out.
She reads her a lot. And Sia hates she can’t read Estrella just like she reads her.
“No servants. I’m handling the…kitchen by myself…”
Estrella’s chirp halted Sia’s words. She peered closer to the screen and bulged her eyes as she asked. “Where are they? Michelle should be there no matter what.”
“Bummer.” Sia gushed, tearing her eyes off the screen. “She isn’t here too.”
Sia’s admission threw Estrella off balance. She screeched into the phone. However, Sia already finished draining the water from the orange. She tugged her phone and pulled it to her face while speaking to Estrella.
Her back faced the entrance from whence someone can make an entrée into the kitchen.
“Why are you acting…weird. It’s not like I can’t handle the kitchen or my villa…”
“Your villa?” Estrella exclaimed, shocked by Sia’s utterances.
Okay, it dawned on Sia she had let on more than she wanted. She has practically revealed to Estrella that there are no servants around.
She’s practically alone in this large villa with Fur!
“Sia, don’t tell me something happened.”
Worry pleated Estrella’s face as she scooted closer to the screen. “Where are they? Did they run away?” She pressed on.
Sia rolled her eyes at Estrella’s cheesy reaction but as she formed the words to respond to her, a voice from behind startled her.
Shocked by the unexpectedness of another thick voice, the cell slipped off Sia’s hands and slammed on the marble floor.
Whipping around, she gushed with trembling lips, “Lucas!?” Her gaze nestled on his and all the breath in her lungs rose to her throat.
Lucas reached for the phone in two long steps and picked it up.
“Hey, chill.” He cooed, sending panty-dropping smiles at Sia. Hunkering his eyes back at the phone, he spotted the broken screen and scanned it.
“You just broke your phone, Sia.” He said, teasingly. “I never knew you haven’t gotten over this little…. scary side of you.” He said ambling close to Sia.
Sia pinned her stare at him until he assembled in front of her. She downed the thickness in her throat while looking up at him, her pulse quickening with desire.
Taking in Lucas’s looks, she sighted his slightly humid lips and yearned to bite on it. And quench that fire of need his presence, scent, and height sparks inside her.
“This is iPhone twelve pro max. Very costly.” He said, eyeing her for any reaction.
When Sia found the power of her speech, she verbalized, “I can get another one right away.”
“I know you can. But open it, let me scan the damages.” He said, handing her the phone but Sia just blurted her password.
“9-10-2010.”
Immediately he heard that Lucas in a haste lifted his head and chuck his eyes at Sia.
That date he saw in Hera’s list flashed through her mind.
Nica’s possible date of birth or what?
‘Why did she use it as her password?’ Lucas mused, clenching the phone in the palm of his hand.
