Michelle hastened to help Sia. She believes Silas must have said something to Sia that warranted such a situation now.
“Go see your boss. She might need a little help tonight. After all, that’s what you’re assigned to do, old lady.
Silas’s words minutes ago ran through Michelle’s mind. Whatever that’s happening to Sia is his fault. He caused it all.
“Mrs. Monson please stay calm.” She cajoled but seeing Sia in such state made her weep.
‘Sia’s mother might be dead and that’s the reason she keeps calling on her.’ She mused inwardly. This trauma makes her remember the time her mother died. It wasn’t easy to get past it at all. Maybe Sia is still grappling with hers.
Thankfully, the doctor arrived and checked Sia’s pulse.
“Has she taken her anti-anxiety pills?” He asked Michelle after checking Sia’s temperature.
“Oh, that!” Michelle muttered remembering the last event where Sia demanded for her pills. “Let me look for it.” She hunted for the pills.
However, the other servants have cleared the room by now. When Michelle found the drugs, the doctor instructed her to get some food Sia will nip on before taking the drugs.
As instructed, Michelle got the food and they woke Sia up.
Taking in her environment, Sia blow out a breath of relief.
“Michelle.” She called but the tears in her eyes were still coursing down. “Why’s the doctor here?” She asked no one in particular.
Michelle helped Sia perch her back against the headboard so she could feed her.
“I called the doctor,” Michelle said as she brought a spoonful of the soup to Sia’s lips. She shook her head ‘no’ but the doctor instructed her to eat.
“Your temperature is running low. So you need to eat and take your meds. Okay?” He said holding Sia’s gaze.
Shaking her head, she parted her lips and encircled them on the spoon.
“You’ll be fine, Mrs. Monson,” Michelle assured while feeding her.
When done with the food she took her pills and Michelle prepared a bath for her. Sia took her bathe and walked to the balcony where she watched the stars in the night sky.
The constellation and the air hugging her body helped rid her mind off the fear and images of her past. She settled on the chaise lounge and star-gazed until the wee hours of the morning. Only, while gazing at the stars she imagined what her life would be like without having all the fuss she’s experiencing.
She smiled imagining that. A life where she lives normal with her husband and kids.
It’s a luxury she might not be able to attain. Around three in the morning, she crawled back to her room set an alarm for her road work, and curled up on the bed to take some nap.

Lucas woke up to the sound of his alarm clock. It’s Sunday already and it’s been a while since they last went to the golf course to play. Adriano already made it clear they won’t miss today’s own.
So Lucas got up early to prepare for their game. He took a quick shower, brushed, and donned his white shorts and shirt. He hadn’t carved the stubble on his jaw which makes him look tattered. Nevertheless, he cares little about that now.
He took his golf club and tote bag and condescended the stairs and saw Danika watching TV in the living room.
“Where are you off to?” Her voice seeped into his ears, making him pause.
“To play golf. How are you doing?” He asked to clear the air from any suspicion.
Danika trailed toward him and plastered a kiss on his lips. “Would you believe me if I tell you yesterday was the most stressful day?” She sagged her brows. “I and my bridesmaids went shopping to pick the best clothes for them and I paid for them. You know Isabel can’t afford such an expensive dress.”
Lucas wore a pitiful look on his face to make Danika believe he feels sorry for her.
“I can see it already. You should rest today.” He suggested causally.
Rolling her eyes, she spewed, “that’s my plan today. But I sure will rest well after getting a massage. So I just called one now. She’ll be here in a few hours.”
Lucas nodded but the urgency in his words showed how desperate he wants to leave Danika’s presence. He kissed her hair and bustled for the door. Just when he’s about to disappear through the ajar door, Danika called him.
“Lucas.”
He halted and whirled around. The proud grin on Danika’s face made him cringe.
“Our wedding is fast approaching. I hope you’re preparing?” She asked him, her lashes blinking slowly as she drank in Lucas’s features.
“Of course. I am.” He answered before disappearing entirely. His Uber has already arrived, so he moved into the car and headed to the golf course.
Lucas was a little carefree while playing the game today, unlike the last time they came here. He had already scored two goals against Adriano. For some reason, the upcoming wedding doesn’t worry him as it does and his appreciation goes to Ethan.
Having lost two goals, Ethan dropped his bat to rest and leave the competitive Adriano to face Lucas head-on while he watches them a few steps away. Adriano seemed adamant in scoring a goal at least before dropping his bat.
Luckily, he scored a goal after four failed attempts. Lucas erupted into laughter and told Adriano he just allowed him a tad opportunity to win this time.
Carelessly, Adriano dropped his bat and yelped in victory, wiping the sheen of sweat on his face with his facecloth.
Settling on the grass close to Ethan, both Lucas and Adriano watered their dry throats with their water can while they breathed heavily.
“How about we start playing football too?” Adriano asked before tilting his head to pour water into his mouth.
Lucas lowered his head and laughed, “Is someone ready to bear the heartache of losing goals?” He asked. Catching the quip in his words, Ethan laughed alongside him while Adriano furrowed his brows.
“Is someone ready to feel a tug of disappointment?” Adriano mocked Lucas too before the trio erupted into laughter.
When they fell into a short stretch of silence, Ethan told Lucas about Sia’s attack. Though Lucas didn’t give any reaction to his friends, an onslaught of emotions swirled through him.
As a way to rid his mind off the swirl of emotions, Lucas suggested they go to ‘Anything like Macalista’ to revel a bit.
However, at that same time, Sia had already arrived at the restaurant with Jake who persuaded her to go with him when she was done exercising. She nonetheless enjoyed Jake’s company today considering his jokes and long talks.
Sia ordered coffee with whipped cream when the waiter came to take their order while Jake ordered hot chocolate.
While they chattered and chugged their wine, Lucas and his friends arrived and sat behind them.
Sia wasn’t aware of their arrival until she heard Lucas’s voice while spilled his orders to the waiter.
“Hot chocolate.” He said.
To confirm her suspicions, Sia veered her head and her eyes met with Lucas’s.
Lucas paused and held her gaze minutes longer before breaking away.
“Jake.” Sia called him.
“Yes, pretty cheek?” Jake flashed his pearly white teeth at Sia.
“I need to use the ladies’ restroom. Will be back.” She wants to go and ease the tension within her since today happens to be the first time they met after their wild night.
“Do you want…” Jake leaned in closer to Sia’s ear and whispered. “Orgasm?”
Choking on her breath, Sia exclaimed. “What!? Don’t be ridiculous!” She barked, earning a laughter from Jake before zooming off.
She shut the door and perched her back against the doorframe, her hand nestled on her chest as she tried to placate her wildly beating heart. Lucas was never supposed to have this effect on her but remembering how they had each other that night. How he made her come…Sia can’t stop her heart from hammering against the wall of her chest.
She stepped to the sink and turned on the faucet, cupping her hand beneath the running water she splashed the water on her face.
‘Calm down and forget that crazy night, okay?’ She assured herself.
When it seemed the raging storm have come to a stop, Sia flipped the door open to step outside but met with those coffee-brown eyes.
“Sia.” He called.
